Based on the reality of English teaching in middle schools, this paper conducts a questionnaire survey on the students majoring in normal schools who have been teaching for three months and the current situation of English teaching in middle schools. Starting from reflecting on the curriculum setting of practical teaching in the training program of this major and combining with the analysis of the investigation of the present situation of English teaching in middle schools, we explore the reform and innovation mode of practical teaching in English Education major in universities, and put forward a comprehensive reform of practical teaching mode, i.e. the teaching mode of "covering the whole course of practical teaching", so as to promote the basic practice of encouraging students to complete practical teaching activities.

Practical teaching is an important link to cultivate applied and innovative talents with high quality for chemical engineering specialty in higher education, and is the main way to improve students' engineering quality. The full range of practical teaching system has been constructed through the practice and exploration, which includes the main four modules: the experiment, the practical training, the practice and the design, and the extra-curricular practical activities as supplement. Practice has proved the system enhanced the students' comprehensive ability and quality, and cultivated students' innovative ability and engineering quality.

Practical teaching and learning evaluation of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) have been incorporated into a chemical engineering curriculum at the intermediate undergraduate level. CFD has now become a component of professional life in engineering practice and to prepare students properly, they must get exposure to all aspects of their chosen profession. Issues of concern arise when mathematical modelling is being introduced into a curriculum. For example, at the practical level, it must be considered whether or not an appropriate platform has been developed to allow the students to use the software efficiently and importantly without frustration. Also it is important that students have been taught sufficient skills for the student to continue with simulations in a systematic and methodical manner. The incorporation of the CFD package into a traditional chemical engineering curriculum is described here, and evaluation results based on pre-post knowledge and skill experiments, and student survey results document successful learning outcomes and effectiveness of the approach.
