Significance The legislation is the most radical and comprehensive reform of centre-regional relations since Vladimir Putin became president in 1999. Formalising and consolidating a steady process of political centralisation, it further shifts powers from the regional heads and assemblies to the president and the federal executive. Impacts After years of attempts to forge a Russia-wide ethos, local identity politics will become more visible. The September regional elections are another opportunity to pre-select regional leaders before they are approved by voters. Regional leaders removed and replaced ahead of the elections may include the Communist head of Khakassia, Valentin Konovalov.

New Zealand's limitation legislation was overhauled with the enacting of the Limitation Act 2010. Despite this comprehensive reform, the way in which trust claims are best to be addressed appears to have been largely overlooked in the reform process. Consequently, the multitude of historic issues that have plagued statutory provisions dealing with trust claims endure in the 2010 Act, with the few changes to the structure of drafting compounding these problems. This paper explores the policy considerations at work, and, by way of example, undertakes a thorough analysis of the exception for fraudulent breaches of trust in light of these policy considerations to illustrate some of the new problems that are bound to arise in practice. Given the numerous and significant difficulties, and the substantial implications for parties seeking to rely on these provisions, this paper argues that a broad reconsideration of the way in which trust claims are dealt with in the 2010 Act is urgently needed.

Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) is a methodological approach that is growing very fast in many European countries, particularly in Spain. The implementation of bilingual programmes in primary, secondary and tertiary education has produced significant changes that have had direct consequences on all educational stakeholders, including teachers, parents and students. In the case of CLIL teachers, research has often addressed their training needs, and actions towards preparing them for successful classes have been proposed. However, few studies have focused on their concerns and views of bilingual programs. Despite the fact that many researchers have acknowledged the importance of understanding CLIL teachers’ views and beliefs, thus hoping for more studies on those issues, this is not yet one of the major research targets. In this study CLIL secondary school teachers in Spain were approached in order to identify the problems they encounter when implementing CLIL. An online questionnaire with both open and close questions was designed administered to informants across Spain. The findings reveal that, overall, the difficulties teachers encounter when implementing a bilingual programme are multiple, and many informants believe that the bilingual programme in English needs a comprehensive reform in Spain.

Mass entrepreneurship and innovation education in colleges and universities is a systematic project promoted as a whole, which pays attention to the cooperation between different participants and the coupling between top-level design and landing implementation, showing a horizontal and vertical intertwined ecological relationship. Constructing the collaborative ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship education in colleges and universities is an important topic to promote the comprehensive reform of colleges and universities, a key way to stimulate the innovation and entrepreneurship vitality of the whole society, and the only way to implement the strategy of "strengthening the country through innovation". The research shows that the collaborative ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship education in colleges and universities has the characteristics of the openness of the system boundary, the non-equilibrium of the system state, the nonlinearity of the system dynamics and the fluctuation of the system movement, and includes subject collaboration level, system collaboration level and environmental collaboration level. In terms of the construction path, the research further believes that the construction path of the collaborative ecosystem of innovation and entrepreneurship education in colleges and universities includes three aspects: establishing the system structure, releasing the system power and ensuring the development of the system. In the new era of cultural prosperity, with the convening of the New Liberal Arts Conference, the reform of liberal arts teaching in colleges and universities has once again obtained an opportunity for development. For the teaching of inspection courses for calligraphy majors, new thinking and reforms are bound to be carried out under the new situation. Through the continuous advancement of existing teaching practices, there has been a certain exploration of inspection courses. The author believes that the comprehensive reform of such courses is a sublimation of the training of calligraphy professionals, from campus to society, from classroom to extracurricular, from theory to practical, a comprehensive improvement from knowledge to learning, so colleges and universities must pay attention to the reform of inspection courses in terms of talent training.

ABSTRACT Background Pass/fail USMLE Step 1 score reporting may have varying implications for trainees of different demographic and training backgrounds. Objective To characterize the perspectives of a diverse cohort of trainees on the impact of pass/fail Step 1 score reporting. Methods In 2020, 197 US and international medical school deans and 822 designated institutional officials were invited to distribute anonymous electronic surveys among their trainees. Separate surveys for medical students and residents/fellows were developed based on the authors' prior work surveying program directors on this topic. Underrepresented in medicine (UiM) was defined in accordance with AAMC definitions. Descriptive and comparative analyses were performed, and results were considered statistically significant with P < .05. Results A total of 11 633 trainees responded (4379 medical students and 7254 residents/fellows; 3.3% of an estimated 285 000 US trainees). More students favored the score reporting change than residents/fellows (43% vs 31%; P < .001; 95% CI 0–24). Trainees identifying as UiM were more likely to favor the change (50% vs 34%; P < .001; 95% CI 0–32) and to agree it would decrease socioeconomic disparities (44% vs 25%; P < .001; 95% CI 0–38) relative to non-UiM trainees. Nearly twice as many osteopathic and international medical graduate students felt they would be disadvantaged compared to MD students because of pass/fail score reporting (61% vs 31%; P < .001; 95% CI 0–60). Conclusions Trainee perspectives regarding USMLE Step 1 score reporting are mixed. UiM trainees were more likely to favor the score reporting change, while osteopathic and international medical students were less in favor of the change.
