In order to improve the modeling ability for nonlinear system, an Elman modeling method based on Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm is proposed. It uses PSO algorithm to optimize the parameters of Elman network. The simulation result shows that the proposed hybrid method combined Elman with PSO algorithm has a good modeling performance with fast training rate for complex nonlinear system.

In the process of complex product design, modeling in different fields and different disciplines is often involved. Designers often face many different development kits, platforms, and theories, among which significant differences exist. Especially in the process of algorithm-hardware implementation, it is necessary to have mastery of the knowledge including algorithm, hardware, circuit, and system engineering. In this paper, a modeling method of algorithm-hardware based on SysML is proposed to reduce the difficulty of algorithm-hardware modeling. By using the method, the designers who do not know the knowledge of hardware can also easily build the algorithm-hardware model. In this method, a method of graphical system modeling based on SysML is used, where the elements of the algorithm-hardware model are described by SysML graphical models. Then, the SysML graphical models are converted to Very-High-Speed Integrated Circuit Hardware Description Language. At last, a detecting algorithm of random number is complemented by the modeling method in this paper and the simulation results are presented at the conclusion.

It is hard to model a complex system by simply combining its partial characteristics. This paper presents a multi-view collaborative modeling method for complex system. Multi users, multi subjects, multi granularities and multi models in complex system modeling are unified to multi views. The principles and schemes for the decomposition of complex systems are introduced. According to the principle of separation of concerns, a complex system can be decomposed to a variety of model views. Collaborative modeling means that the views can be associated and integrated to form complete system model through their semantic. According to the form of representation, the models are generalizes to three kinds, i.e., view models, semantic models and storage models, which provides a unified framework for conversion and mapping between the models. Under the guidance of the method, a tool for the modeling of warship C2 system is developed. Applications show that the tool can support collaborative modeling and design for C2 system outstandingly.

For large-scale equipment systems whose elements and internal structure are complex, traditional systems engineering methods can’t meet the requirements of the system modeling. In this paper, a kind of modeling method based on UPDM is developed to solve the complexity of equipment systems. This paper proceeds as follow. Firstly, analyze the mission of equipment systems; secondly, using a variety of views product describes the equipment systems; then, validate the systems structure by generating an executable model. Finally, an experiment about equipment systems modeling of space weaponry indicates the modeling method based on UPDM is effective.

Abstract Digital power plant is the theory and method to improve the operating quality of power plant by quantifying, analyzing, controlling, and deciding the physical and working objects of power plants in the whole life cycle. And the foundation of digital power plant is system modeling and performance analysis. However, there are some problems in the process of modeling establishment and performance analysis. For instance, each component has different dimensions and different types of mathematical description, and the data or information used for modeling are defined differently and belong to different enterprises, who do not want to share their information. Meta-modeling is a potential method to solve these problems. It defines the specification to describe different kinds of elements and the relationship between different elements. In this paper, the collaborative modeling and simulation platform for digital power plant has been established based on the meta-modeling method and the performance of the target power plant has been analyzed from different aspects via field data. The meta-modeling method consists of three parts: syntax definition, model development, and algorithm definition. In the comparative study between the meta-model and the traditional model, maximum average errors of the two methods are 8.72% and 4.74%, which reveals the high accuracy of the meta-modeling-based model. The result shows that the modeling and simulation platform for power plants can be used to reduce costs, decrease equipment failure rate, and improve plant output, so as to guarantee the safety and increase economics.

If you want to simulate and analyze a system by Petri net, you must construct a reliable and accurate Petri net model. Problem of constructing model by Petri net is discussed few at present. Petri net automatic modeling method based on system behavior sequence is presented. This method combines all the behavior sequences of system into the formal language expression. For different system, giving labeled function (giving the relationship between transition and system behaviors) can construct system Petri net model. To illustrate the algorithm, an example of constructing user Petri net model of telephone call service is given. This method has strong formalization and can be used universally. The model constructed by this method is standard and can realize computer automatic modeling. It makes progress in research of system modeling.
