An algorithm for detecting the exact regions of moving objects in video frames

Image mosaicing involves geometric alignment among video frames and image compositing or blending. For dynamic mosaicing, image mosaics are constructed dynamically along with incoming video frames. Consequently, dynamic mosaicing demands efficient operations for both alignment and blending in order to achieve real-time performance. In this paper, we focus on efficient image blending methods that create good-quality image mosaics from any number of overlapping frames. One of the driving forces for efficient image processing is the huge market of mobile devices such as cell phones, PDAs that have image sensors and processors. In particular, we show that it is possible to have efficient sequential implementations of blending methods that simultaneously involve all accumulated video frames. The choices of image blending include traditional averaging, overlapping and flexible ones that take into consideration temporal order of video frames and user control inputs. In addition, we show that artifacts due to mis-alignment, image intensity difference can be significantly reduced by efficiently applying weighting functions when blending video frames. These weighting functions are based on pixel locations in a frame, view perspective and temporal order of this frame. One interesting application of flexible blending is to visualize moving objects on a mosaiced stationary background. Finally, to correct for significant exposure difference in video frames, we propose a pyramid extension based on intensity matching of aligned images at the coarsest resolution. Our experiments with real image sequences demonstrate the advantages of the proposed methods.

We present a novel moving shadow detection method using logistic regression in this paper. First, several types of features are extracted from pixels in foreground images. Second, the logistic regression model is constructed by random pixels selected from video frames. Finally, for a new frame in one video, we take advantage of the constructed regression model to implement the classification of moving shadows and objects. To verify the performance of the proposed method, we test it on several different surveillance scenes and compare it with some well-known methods. Extensive experimental results indicate that the proposed method not only can separate moving shadows from moving objects accurately, but also is superior to several existing methods.


In the recent past, video content-based communication hasincreases with a significant consumption of space and time complexity.The introduction of the data is exceedingly improved in video information as the video information incorporates visual and sound data. The mix of these two kinds of information for a single data portrayal is exceedingly compelling as the broad media substance can make an ever-increasing number of effects on the human cerebrum. Thus, most of the substance for training or business or restorative area are video-based substances. This development in video information have impacted a significant number of the professional to fabricate and populate video content library for their use. Hence, retrieval of the accurate video data is the prime task for all video content management frameworks. A good number of researches are been carried out in the field of video retrieval using various methods. Most of the parallel research outcomes have focused on content retrieval based on object classification for the video frames and further matching the object information with other video contents based on the similar information. This method is highly criticised and continuously improving as the method solely relies on fundamental object detection and classification using the preliminary characteristics. These characteristics are primarily depending on shape or colour or area of the objects and cannot be accurate for detection of similarities. Hence, this work proposes, a novel method for similarity-based retrieval of video contents using deep characteristics. The work majorly focuses on extraction of moving objects, static objects separation, motion vector analysis of the moving objects and the traditional parameters as area from the video contents and further perform matching for retrieval or extraction of the video data. The proposed novel algorithm for content retrieval demonstrates 98% accuracy with 90% reduction in time complexity.

<div><p><em>Tracking of moving objects in video sequences are essential for many computer vision applications &amp; it is considered as a challenging research issue due to dynamic changes in objects, shape, complex background, illumination changes and occlusion. Many traditional tracking algorithms fails to track the moving objects in real-time, this paper proposes a robust method to overcome the issue, based on the combination of particle filter and Principal Component Analysis (PCA), which predicts the position of the object in the image sequences using stable wavelet features, which in turn are extracted from multi scale 2-D discrete wavelet transform.  Later, PCA approach is used to construct the effective subspace. Similarity degree between the object model and the prediction obtained from particle filter is used to update the feature vector to handle occlusion and complex background in video frames. Experimental results obtained from the proposed method are encouraging.</em></p></div>

Abstract: This study presents a strategy to automate the process to recognize and track objects using color and motion. Video Tracking is the approach to detect a moving item using a camera across the long distance. The basic goal of video tracking is in successive video frames to link target objects. When objects move quicker in proportion to frame rate, the connection might be particularly difficult. This work develops a method to follow moving objects in real-time utilizing HSV color space values and OpenCV in distinct video frames.. We start by deriving the HSV value of an object to be tracked and then in the testing stage, track the object. It was seen that the objects were tracked with 90% accuracy. Nowadays, the science of information hiding has gained tremendous significance due to advances in information and communication technology. The performance of any steganographic algorithm relies on the embedding efficiency, embedding payload, and robustness against attackers. Low hidden ratio, less security, and low quality of stego videos are the major issues of many existing steganographic methods. In this paper, we propose a novel video steganography method in discrete cosine transform (DCT) domain based on error correcting codes (ECC). To improve the security of the proposed algorithm, a secret message is first encrypted and encoded by using Hamming and BCH codes. Then, it is embedded into the DCT coefficients of video frames. The hidden message is embedded into DCT coefficients of each Y, U, and V planes excluding DC coefficients. The proposed algorithm is tested under two types of videos that contain slow and fast moving objects. The experiential results of the proposed algorithm are compared with three existing methods. The comparison results show that our proposed algorithm outperformed other algorithms. The hidden ratio of the proposed algorithm is approximately 27.53%, which is considered as a high hiding capacity with a minimal tradeoff of the visual quality. The robustness of the proposed algorithm was tested under different attacks.

Abstract The current research concerns the problem of video stabilization “in a point”, which aims to stabilize all video frames according to one chosen reference frame to produce a new video, as by a static camera. Similar task importance relates providing static background in the video sequence that can be usable for correct measurements in the frames when studying dynamic objects in the video. For this aim we propose an efficient combined approach, called “3×3OF9×9”. It fuses our the previous development for fast and rigid 2D video stabilization [2] with the well-known Optical Flow approach, applied by parts via Otsu segmentation, for eliminating the influence of moving objects in the video. The obtained results are compared with those, produced by the commercial software Warp Stabilizer of Adobe-After-Effects CS6.

Object detection in the video sequence is a significant problem to be resolved in image processing because it used different applications in video compression, video surveillance, robot technology, etc. Few research works have been designed in conventional works to discover moving objects using various machine learning techniques. However, dynamic changing background, object size variations and degradation of video frames during the object detection process remained an open issue. In order to overcome such limitations, Anisotropic Sophisticated Spatiotemporal Contours based Deep Neural Network Learning (ASSC-DNNL) practice is projected. ASSC-DNL Technique initially obtains a number of video file as input at the input layer. After acquiring the video, input layer forward it to hidden layers. Subsequently, ASSC-DNL Technique accomplishes the encoding process in the first hidden layer using Anisotropic Stacked Autoencoder (ASA). During the encoding process, ASSC-DNL practice maps each video frames pixels in input video via code. This practice results in compressed video with enhanced quality. Afterward, ASSC-DNL practice transforms compressed video into a numeral of frames in the second concealed layer. Followed by, ASSC-DNL practice carried out Teknomo–Fernandez Spatiotemporal Based Background Subtraction (TS-BS) process at the third hidden layer, in which it effectively segments the foreground images from dynamic changing background. Then, ASSC-DNL practice deep analyzes the foreground image of video frames and mines some features like shape, color, texture, intensity, and size. Finally, ASSC-DNL Technique exactly finds the moving objects in video frames according to identified features with minimal time at the output layer. Therefore, ASSC-DNL Technique obtains enhanced moving objects detection performance when compared to existing works. The simulation of ASSC-DNL practice is conducted via different metrics such as accuracy, time and false positive rate towards in detection.

Moving objects of interest (MOOIs) in surveillance videos are detected and encapsulated by bounding boxes. Since moving objects are defined by temporal activities through the consecutive video frames, it is necessary to examine a group of frames (GoF) to detect the moving objects. To do that, the traces of moving objects in the GoF are quantified by forming a spatiotemporal gradient map (STGM) through the GoF. Each pixel value in the STGM corresponds to the maximum temporal gradient of the spatial gradients at the same pixel location for all frames in the GoF. Therefore, the STGM highlights boundaries of the MOOI in the GoF and the optimal bounding box encapsulating the MOOI can be determined as the local areas with the peak average STGM energy. Once an MOOI and its bounding box are identified, the inside and outside of it can be treated differently for object-aware size reduction. Our optimal encapsulation method for the MOOI in the surveillance videos makes it possible to recognize the moving objects even after the low bitrate video compressions.

Abstract: This research shows how to use colour and movement to automate the process of recognising and tracking things. Video tracking is a technique for detecting a moving object over a long distance using a camera. The main purpose of video tracking is to connect target objects in subsequent video frames. The connection may be particularly troublesome when things move faster than the frame rate. Using HSV colour space values and OpenCV in different video frames, this study proposes a way to track moving objects in real-time. We begin by calculating the HSV value of an item to be monitored, and then we track the object throughout the testing step. The items were shown to be tracked with 90 percent accuracy.
