Luanchuan County, located in the mountains of Western Henan Province, is characterized by poor geological environment and abundant material sources and rainfalls. Debris flows have occurred many times in this county, and in some gully debris flows exhibit a large scale, requiring risk assessment. In the multi-factor comprehensive assessment methods for debris flow risk, it is really important to determine the weight of each factor since this affects the reliability of the assessment results. Given that the subjective weighting method can accurately reflect the importance of each factor, in order to improve the reliability of subjective weighting, the group decision making method is used to determine the weight of each factor. Group decision making is realized using the analytic hierarchy process and the data fusion algorithm. In this method, the expert combination weight is determined; on this basis, a model for comprehensive assessment of debris flow risk is established by the linear weighted sum method, and risk assessment is performed for gullies with medium to large-scale debris flows in the study area. The assessment results show that all debris flow gullies face minor to moderate risks. For gullies with high risk degree, it is suggested to timely clear material sources in channels and construct or reinforce retaining dams in order to prevent re-occurrence of debris flows.

Alien biological disaster risk assessment is a complicated system engineering. Group decision making method was adopted to determine the alien biological disaster risk assessment index weight. We use group AHP to determine the weight, constructe corresponding judgment matrix of the assessment indexes by experts, calculate the similarity of experts according to the judgment matrix, and then determine the alien biological disaster risk assessment weights through experts weight and the judgment matrix.

This study aims to develop a new Interval Rough COmbinative Distance-based Assessment (IR CODAS) method for handling multiple criteria group decision making problems using linguistic terms. A single decision maker is unable to express his opinions or preferences on multiple criteria decisions, while a Multi-Criteria Group Decision Making MCGDM process ensures successful outcomes when handling greater imprecision and vagueness information. A real-life case study of risk assessment is investigated using our proposed IR-CODAS method to test and validate its application; a sensitivity analysis is also performed. Keywords: Interval Rough Numbers, group decision making, IR-CODAS method, risk assessment.

Abstract With the recent emphasis on supply risk management in sustainable supply chains (SSCs), the evaluation and selection of appropriate suppliers are more important than ever. However, most existing research does not take all three sustainability perspectives of supply risk into account simultaneously and they rarely consider the correlation among supply risk factors in risk assessment. Therefore, considering the uncertain information decision-making environment, this research paper proposes a risk-based integrated group decision-making model for sustainable supplier selection (SSS). First, the weights of decision-makers (DMs) are taken as linguistic terms denoted by intuitionistic fuzzy numbers (IFNs). Second, after obtaining the aggregated intuitionistic fuzzy decision-making matrix considering the expert weights, this study uses the entropy weight method to calculate the criteria weights objectively. Then, the improved failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) is adopted for the risk assessment to exclude high-risk suppliers. Finally, the extended alternative queuing method (AQM) is applied to rank the qualified suppliers in SSCs. This model can not only enable enterprises to reduce supply risk in SSS practices and identify and prevent the failure modes that lead to supply risk, but also reduce the uncertainty of decision-making, in order to make supplier selection more accurate. The feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed model are illustrated through application in a leading Chinese electrical appliance manufacturing company.
