Abstract The security threat of power monitoring system is increasing, it is valuable to carry out effective risk assessment, which helps to find the security threats of the system in time, then carry out security management and avoid disasters. This paper presents a risk assessment method of power monitoring system based on Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) and CVSS. Firstly, Considering the structure and security requirements of power monitoring system, the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) model is established, and CVSS is used to quantify the evaluation indicators. Then, the fuzzy consistent judgment matrix is constructed by using the results of index quantification by using AHP and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation theory, and the power monitoring system is comprehensively evaluated from the bottom to the top. Finally, the risk evaluation value and safety level of the system are obtained. The example shows that the method can effectively overcome the difficulty of AHP in checking the consistency of judgment matrix, and can effectively quantify the system risk, and provide reference and basis for risk management decision-making of power monitoring system.

ABSTRACT The contact patch between tire and road surface has a direct impact on tire grounding performance. Acquiring tire grounding performance either by testing or simulation is not only time intensive but comes at a high cost. This paper proposes an effective means of evaluating tire grounding performance based on the tire-ground contact pressure distribution. This paper adopts fifteen characteristics to describe the tire-ground contact patch in which twelve structural schemes were designed for a certain type of tire. By using the simulation test method, the grounding performance characteristics such as grip performance, rolling resistance, wear performance, and the tire footprint characteristics were obtained. Correlation analysis was used to explore the relationship between tire grounding performance and footprint characteristics. Based on the correlation analysis and expert judgement, the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) model for comprehensive grounding performance evaluation of a tire was constructed. Then judgment matrix of the AHP model was established, and the consistency or otherwise of the judgment matrix was verified. The model was then used to evaluate and predict the four design schemes of tires. The evaluation results were in good agreement with the simulation test results, which shows that the construction method of the tire comprehensive grounding performance evaluation system proposed in this paper is practical. It is also evident that grounding performance evaluation of a tire based on the tire footprint is feasible.

Fog computing is meant to deal with the problems which cloud computing cannot solve alone. As the fog is closer to a user, it can improve some very important QoS characteristics, such as a latency and availability. One of the challenges in the fog architecture is heterogeneous constrained devices and the dynamic nature of the end devices, which requires a dynamic service orchestration to provide an efficient service placement inside the fog nodes. An optimization method is needed to ensure the required level of QoS while requiring minimal resources from fog and end devices, thus ensuring the longest lifecycle of the whole IoT system. A two-stage multi-objective optimization method to find the best placement of services among available fog nodes is presented in this paper. A Pareto set of non-dominated possible service distributions is found using the integer multi-objective particle swarm optimization method. Then, the analytical hierarchy process is used to choose the best service distribution according to the application-specific judgment matrix. An illustrative scenario with experimental results is presented to demonstrate characteristics of the proposed method.

Determining the safety input structure is essential to achieve efficient resource utilization and the safe production of coal enterprises. In this paper, the system evaluation method, TIFNCWBHG-MAGDM, is proposed to evaluate the safety input of coal enterprises. It is based on the integration of the intuitionistic triangular fuzzy numbers (TIFNs), TIFNs Compound Weight Bonferroni Hybrid Geometric (TIFNCWBHG) operator, and multiattribute group decision-making (MAGDM) theory. First, the judgment matrix of TIFNs is constructed from multiperspective: multitime points, multiattributes, and multiexperts. The TIFNCWBHG operator integrates the TIFNs score function, stability weight, and position weight. Then, the priorities for safety inputs are determined. The experimental results showed that safety inputs in industrial hygiene, propaganda, and education significantly impact the overall level of safety inputs. Also, it was proved that the efficiency of the safety input is important. The proposed TIFNCWBHG-MAGDM effectively coordinated the stability weight, position weight, and computation of TIFNs score function, taking the advantages of TIFNs. Accordingly, it was proved that it could optimize the safety input structure.

In view of the multi-attribute decision making problems which the attribute values are in the forms of interval numbers, the paper presents an entropy method to obtain the attribute weights using the relative superiority concept. Firstly, the concept of this kind of problem is explained; Then in the light of the basic principle of the traditional entropy value method and train of thought, it given the calculation steps of weights using the relative superiority about the attribute value is interval number multiple attribute decision making problems. Its core is that relative superiority judgment matrix is obtained by comparing with two sets of interval numbers under the same indicator, which the group of interval numbers is equivalently mapped to the exact value form with the merits of relationship, then the weights of each indicator are calculated. Finally, the method is illustrated by giving an example.

This study was conducted to evaluate planning in career development for lecturers with the status of TNI (Indonesian Armed Forces) soldiers at Indonesia Defense University (IDU). The evaluation adopted the Countenance Stake model which conceptualizes a description matrix containing intents and observations and a judgment matrix containing standards and judgments. The evaluation focused on regulatory bases, program supports, as well as monitoring and evaluation planned to support lecturers' careers. The qualitative design used in this study is supported by primary and secondary data obtained through literature studies, observations, and interviews. Data analysis was conducted through the interactive approach of Miles and Huberman in data display activities, data reduction, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that planning in career development for lecturers from Indonesian Armed Forces (TNI) has been sufficiently supported by good results (84%), through basic support for external and internal policies, Tridharma Perguruan Tinggi (Three Pillars of Higher Education comprising Education, Research and Community Service) program and supporting elements, as well as plans for monitoring and evaluating performance.

High-tech zones (HTZs), as important economic growth poles, have played a key role in China’s economic boom. A method based on multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) and particle swarm optimization (PSO) is proposed to evaluate economic benefits of HTZs. MCDM involves analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and technique for order preference by similarity to an ideal solution (TOPSIS) as they are easy and simple to calculate. AHP is used to construct judgment matrix. Then, the judgment matrix is converted to a constraint optimization problem. PSO is adopted to optimize the problem and get weights of indicators. TOPSIS is used to make the evaluation. The results from 2012 to 2016 of 105 HTZs are obtained and hierarchical clustering analysis is applied to cluster results. The results have demonstrated that the rankings of Zhongguancun Technology Park and Wuhan East Lake HTZ have always been at the forefront, and the ranking of Kunshan New District has risen rapidly, while Shenyang HTZ has dropped significantly. According to the results, some targeted suggestions have been proposed for the development of HTZs.

Due to the global coverage and real-time access advantages of the Tracking and Data Relay Satellite System (TDRSS), the demonstration platform based on TDRSS can satisfy the new technology verification and demonstration needs of the space information network (evolution from sensorweb). However, the comprehensive evaluation research of this demonstration platform faces many problems: complicated and diverse technical indicators in various areas, coupling redundancy between indicators, difficulty in establishing the number of indicator system layers, and evaluation errors causing by subjective scoring. Concerning the difficulties, this paper gives a method to construct this special index system, and improves the consistency of evaluation results with Analytic Hierarchy Process in Group Decision-Making (AHP-GDM). A comprehensive evaluation index system including five criterions, 11 elements, more than 30 indicators is constructed according to the three-step strategy of initial set classification, hierarchical optimization, and de-redundancy. For the inconsistent scoring of AHP-GDM, a high-speed convergence consistency improvement strategy is proposed in this paper. Moreover, a method for generating a comprehensive judgment matrix (the aggregation of each judgment matrix) aggregation coefficient is provided. Numerical experiments show that this strategy effectively improves the consistency of the comprehensive judgment matrix. Finally, taking the evaluation of TDRSS development as an example, the versatility and feasibility of the new evaluation strategy are demonstrated.

Owing to the cost constraint, it is difficult to incorporate all critical features into a single product design. To deal with this issue, analytic hierarchy process is a well-known method that compares the relative priorities of critical features. This study aims to illustrate that the judgment of a designer can be used to generate multiple diversified product designs. To this end, this study proposed a multibelief analytic hierarchy process and nonlinear programming approach. In the proposed methodology, a decision maker’s judgment matrix is decomposed into several single-belief judgment matrices that are more consistent than the original judgment matrix and represent diversified points of view regarding the relative priorities of factors. To this end, a nonlinear programming model is established and optimized. The proposed methodology was applied to a smart backpack design problem. It was concluded that a designer’s judgment was often inconsistent, which was ignored in the conventional analytic hierarchy process method but could be employed to diversify product designs.
