Up-to-date data on the prevalence of chronic mesenteric ischemia syndrome with unpaired visceral branches of the abdominal aorta involvement in asymptomatic, subcompensation and decompensation stages are presented. The frequency of acute mesenteric thrombosis in the background of steno-occlusive disease is analyzed. The data on the mortality rate, determining the need for early diagnosis and timely chronic mesenteric ischemia treatment, are presented. Modern challenges in clinical, instrumental and radiographic diagnosis of chronic mesenteric ischemia due to clinical presentations variability and low specificity as well as lack of targeted approach for chronic mesenteric ischemia diagnosis in routine practice, are reviewed. Most rationale approaches for timely chronic mesenteric ischemia diagnosis and treatment are outlined. Studying of different clinical subtypes of chronic mesenteric ischemia, as well as elaboration of new diagnostic approaches and methods, contemporary diagnosis and treatment algorithms development on all stages of in- and out-patient service is needed.

Annotation. This article highlights the urgent problem of combined diseases of women's reproductive system. On the basis of theoretical analysis, generalized statistics for recent years are presented. The modern concepts of pathogenesis of diseases of the uterus and mammary glands, their correlation, as well as models of diagnosis and treatment are considered. Indeed, a more in-depth understanding of the problems of the combined pathology of the woman’s reproductive system (diseases of the uterus, ovaries, mammary gland), namely etiopathogenesis, diagnostic and treatment algorithms, will reduce the incidence of women of reproductive and perimenopausal age, as well as improve their quality of life. Only having the fullness of information about the state of the reproductive system of women, the doctor is able to prescribe thoughtful and effective treatment.

The article presents data on the etiology, modern methods for diagnosis and treatment of respiratory system diseases and examines in detail cough as the main symptom. Particular attention is paid to hypertussivity, which is defined as a cough that occurs in the absence of obvious reasons. In addition, the emphasize was put on the role of anatomical and physiological features in the development and characteristics of cough, especially in young children. The authors draw attention to the complex mechanism of the cough, which development involves many body systems such as nervous, immune, endocrine and respiratory. The article describes the main treatment methods, drugs prescribed to the patients with cough, which are divided into «antitussive» drugs used as cough suppressants and «protussive» drugs used in situations, in which mobilization of secretions is desired, combined drugs. The role of new combined drugs, in particular, Rengalin, which affects the central and peripheral links of the cough reflex, was noted.

Gout is a chronic systemic disease characterized by the deposition of monosodium urate crystals in various tissues and inflammation. In Russia, time to diagnosis may be as long as 8 years. This leads to serious complications, such as urate nephropathy, and disability. Effective strategies are needed to improve the quality of medical care for gout patients. One of such strategies is creation of an expert system to aid the clinician in establishing the diagnosis and selecting adequate therapy. The cornerstone of an expert system is a knowledge base. The aim of this paper was to develop a medical nomenclature and algorithms for the diagnosis and treatment of gout that will be used to create an expert system in the future. A total of 1,174 entities were selected that laid the basis for 40 diagnostic and 50 treatment algorithms for gout patients. All informational models were verified by the expert panel.

Penile tumors are usually presented by squamous cell carcinoma arising from the foreskin epithelium or glans of the penis. Other types of tumors are relatively rare that is why the diagnosis and treatment algorithms of them are understudied. Here we report a case of the surgical treatment of the patient with rare vascular tumor (hemangiopericytoma) arising from the corpora cavernosa of the penis. This is an exceptional site for this rare tumor with absence of previously reported cases in the published literature.
