Urinary incontinence (UI) is affecting a large number of men and women around the world and it lowers the quality of life dramatically. A large number of treatments have been introduced, but they require invasive surgeries associated with infections and loss of privacy. In this paper, a novel device is introduced which is designed for permanent or temporary treatment of incontinence in men and women, providing more convenience and control. This design provides a urethral stent having a magnetically controlled valve for patients suffering from incontinence due to diseases like bladder sphincter dyssynergia and neurogenic bladder. The new device provides an effective way for controlling the urination time and voiding the bladder, with a simple design, easy to insert, remove, and operate. In this paper, first a review on the urinary system diseases causing incontinence is presented, and then treatment options, indications for their use, and relevant clinical observation are discussed. Finally, the new device is introduced and its characteristics and applications are addressed.

By analyzing the technology process of all steel radial truck tire building machine, the author finds that there is a big potential of improvement both in stitching effect and efficiency. A new kind of stitching and control device is designed to replace the original. The new device can realize the soft stitching of tire, which reduces redundant actions and thus optimizes the process and improves the stitching efficiency. It is found in tests that the optimized process reduces the blister defectives greatly. Both productivity and quality of tires are improved significantly. It shows a big economic benefit.

In the present rural power grid reconstruction project ,according to the problems of capacitor reactive power compensation in rural small substation. Take a small substation for instance, according to its operation and control method, set the criterion of the capacitor bank switching. A new high reliability, flexible reactive power compensation control device based on s7-200 PLC is designed. It plays an important role in improving the power supply , guaranteeing the quality of voltage, reducing the loss of rural power gid.

Abstract Background Urinary incontinence (UI) is prevalent in women and has been associated with decreased quality of life and institutionalization. Despite this, and the fact that several treatment options exist, few women discuss UI with clinicians. The aim of this study was to examine the proportion of middle aged and older women with urinary incontinence who have discussed UI with clinicians, focusing on female health professionals as a way to examine this question outside of issues of health care access. Methods Data are from the Nurses Health Studies (NHS), two ongoing observational, prospective, cohort studies. The surveys collected detailed information about UI, including frequency, amount and type. Women were also asked if they had discussed UI with a clinician. We used multivariable-adjusted logistic regression to estimate odds ratios (OR) of participants reporting discussion about UI. Results 94,692 women with UI aged 49–91 years old were included in this study. Of these, 34% reported that they had discussed their incontinence with a clinician. Women with daily UI had 4.4 times greater odds of discussing it with clinicians when compared to those with monthly UI (OR = 4.36, 95% confidence interval [CI] 4.06–4.69). When controlling for severity of symptoms, the oldest women, greater than eighty years, were 20% less likely to have discussed UI with their clinician, compared to the youngest women (OR = 0.81, 95% CI 0.73–0.89). Conclusions A minority of women with UI, even among health professionals, discuss their symptoms with clinicians. Oldest women were the least likely to discuss their UI with a provider.

Allergic rhinitis is a common, chronic medical condition affecting millions of people worldwide. Uncontrolled disease has been associated with impairments in quality of life and decreased economic productivity. Proper identification and control of relevant co-morbid conditions is essential for optimal rhinitis control. Management of allergic rhinitis includes identification of relevant allergens, education on avoidance measures, medications and immunotherapy. First-line therapy includes the use on an intranasal steroid. Other treatment options include oral or intranasal antihistamines, decongestants, leukotriene receptor antagonists, mast cell stabilizers or anticholinergic agents. Immunotherapy is an effective treatment option for refractory disease.

Background: Urinary incontinence (UI) is a common problem among females and has been associated with significant decreased quality of  life. Few  women  seek  help  for  this  condition  with  only  a  few  who consult physiotherapy treatment.Purpose: To determine the prevalence of urinary incontinence and its impact on quality of life among the university women in South Africa.Method:  A  quantitative  cross-sectional  study design  with  145  women  ran-domly selected from the university. A questionnaire was used to determine UI Diagnosis; Impact on Qol and treatment seeking tendencies. BMI was meas-ured objectively. ethical clearance was obtained from University. Data was analysed using SPSS 17.0Results:  Forty  six(32%)  women  reported  to  having  UI.  Risk  factors  associated  with  UI  included  age,  race,  and  obesity. UI had a significant negative impact on quality of life and only 4.4% of participants with UI consulted physio-therapy for this condition. Conclusion: There is a high prevalence of UI among the women at this university with a significant impact on quality of life. The role of Physiotherapy in management of UI has been demonstrated and there is therefore a need to empower women with non-invasive treatment options, like physiotherapy.

Gender-based human development alludes to improving the quality of life for men and women. Ideally, increasing gender development will create a balance of empowerment between men and women. Gender justice is a process ensuring the fair treatment of women and men alike and removing role-making, double burden, subordination, marginalization, and violence against women by men. Indonesia’s gender-based human development is characterized by the absence of discrimination between women and men in gaining access, opportunity to participate, and control over development and obtaining equal and equitable benefits from Development. Gender-based development in societal and state life is being pioneered with government programs implementing gender-responsive policies. Keywords: human development, gender, equivalent, fair

It has great significance for the capacitor reactive power compensation device to improve the quality of the power system voltage and reduce the line loss. This paper proposes a reactive power compensation measurement and control device scheme that integrates reactive power compensation with microcomputer protection function, it also can cover the shortage of the microcomputer relay protection of parallel capacitor reactive power compensation system, the whole system is linked by the RS485 bus. The paper mainly introduces the hardware design around the STM32 series micro controller. And then introduce the design of the software on main programming algorithm of parameter measurement, communication protocol and capacitor protection configuration and the criterion of the major programming algorithm.
