ABSTRACT IMP-7 is one of the two IMP-type carbapenemases that in Pseudomonas aeruginosa are not limited to a geographic area, but it has not been previously reported in the Australian setting. We report here the draft genome sequence of an Australian P. aeruginosa bloodstream infection isolate that contains IMP-7.

ABSTRACT Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 9027 was isolated in 1943 from a case of otitis externa and is commonly employed as a quality control strain for sterility, assessment of antibiofilm agents, and in vitro study of wound infection. Here, we present the 6.34-Mb draft genome sequence and highlight some pertinent genes that are associated with virulence.

The Gram-negative bacterium Pseudomonas aeruginosa is often multidrug resistant, associated with global epidemic outbreaks, and responsible for significant morbidity and mortality in hospitalized patients. Here, we present the draft genome sequence of BWH047, a multidrug-resistant P. aeruginosa clinical isolate belonging to the epidemic sequence type 235 and demonstrating high levels of colistin resistance.

We report here the draft genome sequence of strain 4014 of Pseudomonas aeruginosa, a common human pathogen, isolated from soil in France. This sequence predicts resistance to multiple antibiotics, including vancomycin.

ABSTRACT Pseudomonas aeruginosa Hex1T was isolated from soils contaminated with used lubricating oil from a garage in Córdoba, Argentina. This strain is capable of utilizing this pollutant as the sole carbon and energy source. Here, we present the 6.9-Mb draft genome sequence of Hex1T, which contains many heavy metal-resistance genes.

Pseudomonas aeruginosa TUEPA7472 is extensively drug resistant (XDR) and is a representative Gram-negative rod that is multiresistant toward 4 classes of clinically relevant antibiotics (4MRGN). The 6.8-Mb draft genome sequence of this strain provides insight into these resistance mechanisms and the potential of the strain to produce virulence factors.

Extremely drug-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa strains causing severe infections have become a serious concern across the world. Here, we report draft genome sequence of P. aeruginosa with an extremely drug-resistant profile isolated from a patient with community-acquired bloodstream infection in India.

Alteromonas spp. are Gram-negative, aerobic, marine bacteria. Here, we report the draft genome sequence of Alteromonas sp. strain KS69, isolated from Narragansett Bay deep water samples. Unpublished preliminary data suggest that KS69 reduces expression of the 3-oxo-C12-HSL-dependent, virulence-associated gene lasB of Pseudomonas aeruginosa PAO1, suggesting that it produces a quorum sensing inhibitor.
