ABSTRACT Cholesterol esterase (EC 3.1.1.13) was identified in a bacterium, Burkholderia stabilis strain FERMP-21014. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of B. stabilis FERMP-21014, which has been used in the commercial production of cholesterol esterase. The genome sequence information may be useful for improving production levels of cholesterol esterase.

Pseudonocardia autotrophica NBRC 12743 contains a cytochrome P450 vitamin D3 hydroxylase, and it is used as a biocatalyst for the commercial production of hydroxyvitamin D3, a valuable compound for medication. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of P. autotrophica NBRC 12743, which could be useful for improving the productivity of hydroxyvitamin D3.

Two clinical isolates, T8 and UA140, are well characterized regarding their mutacin production, but genome sequence information was previously unavailable. Complete genome sequences of these two mutacin-producing strains are reported here.

ABSTRACT We report the first complete genome sequence of LMG 22219 (=ON 86T = CCUG 49543T), the Staphylococcus pseudintermedius type strain isolated from feline lung tissue. This sequence information will facilitate phylogenetic comparisons of staphylococcal species and other bacteria at the genome level.

The genome sequence information of this strain will help understanding of the different mechanisms of interaction of rhizobia with legumes.

The hydrogen-utilizing strain Cupriavidus necator H16 (DSM 428) was sequenced using a combination of PacBio and Illumina sequencing. Annotation of this strain reveals 6,543 protein-coding genes, 263 pseudogenes, 64 tRNA genes, and 15 rRNA genes.

Stenotrophomonas maltophilia is an emerging opportunistic human pathogen. In this report, we describe the isolation and genomic annotation of the S. maltophilia-infecting bacteriophage Mendera. A myophage of 159,961 base pairs, Mendera is T4-like and related most closely to Stenotrophomonas phage IME-SM1.
