Acute phlegmonous gastritis is an uncommon endogenous bacterial gastritis presenting with a high mortality rate. Here, we report the complete genome sequence of anemm89Streptococcus pyogenesstrain, JMUB1235, which is the causative agent of acute phlegmonous gastritis.

Porcine epidemic diarrhea virus, a member of the family Coronaviridae , is an economically important pathogen that causes severe enteritis, vomiting, dehydration, and a high mortality rate, especially among suckling piglets. Here, we report the complete genome sequence (28,036 nucleotides [nt]) of a porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV) strain isolated in a novel outbreak in Shandong, China.

Avian polyomavirus can infect multiple bird species and cause inflammatory disease with high mortality in young psittacine birds. In this study, we sequenced and analyzed an avian polyomavirus isolated from a pigeon in China, strain APV-P, which is closely related to a polyomavirus in psittacine birds.

ABSTRACT Haemophilus parasuis is the causative agent of Glässer's disease, which produces big losses in swine populations worldwide. H. parasuis SH0165, belonging to the dominant serovar 5 in China, is a clinically isolated strain with high-level virulence. Here, we report the first completed genome sequence of this species.

ABSTRACT We present here the complete genome sequence of Streptococcus pyogenes type emm111 strain GUR, a throat isolate from a scarlet fever patient, which has been used to treat cancer patients in the former Soviet Union. We also present the complete genome sequence of its derivative strain GURSA1 with an inactivated emm gene.

Following the 2006 outbreaks of the highly pathogenic porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome, the causative agent was identified as the highly pathogenic porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (HP-PRRSV). To investigate whether the HP-PRRSV variant continues circulating and accelerating evolution, we sequenced and analyzed the complete genome of the identified HP-PRRSV field strain SD16. The sequence data indicate that the HP-PRRSV variant continues to prevail and accelerate evolution, especially in the nonstructural protein.
