ABSTRACT The draft genome sequences of plant-associated Rhodococcus spp. from Tunisia are reported here. Two Rhodococcus fascians strains were obtained from almond rootstocks, and one Rhodococcus kroppenstedtii strain was obtained from a pistachio tree. The fourth Rhodococcus sp. strain was isolated from an ornamental plant.

Here, we report 12 draft genome sequences of mutant Mycolicibacterium smegmatis strains resistant to imidazo[1,2-b][1,2,4,5]tetrazines, which are antituberculosis drug candidates. We have identified 7 different mutations in the MSMEG_1380 gene, which encodes the AcrR/TetR_N transcriptional repressor, which may activate efflux-mediated resistance.

Flavobacterium psychrophilum is a Gram-negative, psychrophilic bacterium within the family Flavobacteriaceae. Here, we report the draft genome sequences of three F. psychrophilum strains isolated from skin ulcers of diseased ayu caught by tomozuri angling at three sites in the Kagami River in Japan.

Draft genomes of two strains of Escherichia coli, FP2 and FP3, isolated from the feces of the Canada goose (Branta canadensis), were sequenced. Genome sizes were 5.26 Mb with a predicted G+C content of 50.54% (FP2) and 5.07 Mb with a predicted G+C content of 50.41% (FP3).

ABSTRACT Here, we report draft genome sequences of historical strains of Coxiella burnetii derived from cow’s milk and the placenta of a goat that had aborted. The California and Ohio milk strains display a different sequence type than do contemporary milk strains.

ABSTRACT Legionella pneumophila outbreak investigations require the development of reliable typing methods to better understand the genetic relationships of the isolates involved. Here, we report the draft genome sequences of four clinical Legionella pneumophila isolates obtained between 2000 and 2012 in Ontario, Canada.

ABSTRACT We present here the draft genome sequences of two Janthinobacterium lividum strains, GW456P and GW458P, isolated from groundwater samples collected from a background site at the Oak Ridge Field Research Center. Production of a purple pigment by these two strains was observed when grown on diluted (1/10) LB agar plates.

This report describes the draft genome sequences of Lactobacillus salivarius A3iob and Lactobacillus johnsonii CRL1647, probiotic strains isolated from the gut of honeybee Apis mellifera workers. The reads were generated by a whole-genome sequencing (WGS) strategy on an Illumina MiSeq sequencer and were assembled into contigs with total sizes of 2,054,490 and 2,137,413 bp for the A3iob and CRL1647 strains, respectively.

We report here the genome sequences of 10 Klebsiella pneumoniae strains of capsular type K2 isolated in Russia from patients in an infectious clinical hospital and neurosurgical intensive care unit. The draft genome sizes range from 5.34 to 5.87 Mb and include 5,448 to 6,137 protein-coding sequences.

Whole-genome shotgun sequences and bottom-up assembly of contigs of six skin isolates of Streptococcus pyogenes, viz., NS88.3 (emm98.1), NS223 (emm91), NS455 (emm52), SS1448 (emm86.2), SS1572 (emm223), and SS1574 (emm224), are presented here. All contigs were annotated, and the gene arrangements and the inferred proteins were consistent with a pattern D classification.
