ABSTRACT We grew a soil enrichment culture to identify organisms that anaerobically oxidize phenazine-1-carboxylic acid. A strain of Citrobacter portucalensis was isolated from this enrichment and sequenced by both Illumina and PacBio technologies. It has a genome with a length of 5.3 Mb, a G+C content of 51.8%, and at least one plasmid.

ABSTRACT Here, we announce the draft genome sequence of Pseudomonas sp. strain AN3A02, isolated from the rhizosphere of one of the only two species of vascular plants existing in the Antarctic continent, Deschampsia antarctica Desv. This isolate, which inhibited the mycelial growth of Botrytis cinerea in dual culture, has a genome sequence of 6,778,644 bp, with a G+C content of 60.4%. These draft genome sequence data provide insight into the genetics underpinning the antifungal activity of this strain.

ABSTRACT A draft genome of a novel Dictyoglomus sp., NZ13-RE01, was obtained from a New Zealand hot spring enrichment culture. The 1,927,012-bp genome is similar in both size and G+C content to other Dictyoglomus spp. Like its relatives, Dictyoglomus sp. NZ13-RE01 encodes many genes involved in complex carbohydrate metabolism.

ABSTRACTAn enteric bacterium,Escherichia coliW26 (KACC 16630), was isolated from feces from a healthy cow in South Korea. Here, we report the draft genome sequence of the isolate, which is closely affiliated with commensal strains belonging toE. coliphylogroup B1.

Lactobacillus paraplantarum OSY-TC318 was isolated from Turkish Tulum cheese and found to produce a potent anti-Gram-positive peptide. Sequencing of the OSY-TC318 genome revealed a genome size of 3,587,488 bp and an average GC content of 43.4%.

Xanthobacter tagetidis is a thiophene-degrading bacterium associated with root balls of the plant genus Tagetes, which includes marigolds. It is a Gram-negative facultatively autotrophic bacterium with pleomorphic morphology exhibiting bent and branching rods. From strain TagT2CT (= ATCC 700314T), we report a genome assembly of 4,945,221 bp and a 69.5% G+C content.

ABSTRACT Staphylococcus succinus subsp. succinus type strain DSM 14617 was isolated from plant and soil inclusions within 25- to 35-million-year-old Dominican amber. The complete genome sequence of strain DSM 14617T includes a genome of 2.88 Mb (32.94% G+C content) without any plasmids.

ABSTRACT We present here the draft genome of Cronobacter sakazakii GP1999, a sequence type 145 strain isolated from the rhizosphere of tomato plants. Assembly and annotation of the genome resulted in a genome of 4,504,670 bp in size, with 4,148 coding sequences, and a GC content of 56.8%.
