The fabrication process of Si -steel thin-strip by twin-roll continuous casting was described and the quality of the obtained Si -steel thin-strip was measured. Si -steel strips with 0.5–6.5 wt.% Si content were successfully prepared, and proper parameters including pouring temperature, height of molten pool, casting speed and pouring head mode were optimized, and their mechanisms were discussed. The relationship between quality factors of Si -steel including cracks, strip thickness, impurity and process parameters such as Si content and so on were discussed. The morphologies of the strips with different Si content were studied.

A scraper was attached to an unequal-diameter twin-roll caster without requiring large modifications. This caster was used as a 1000 mm diameter single roll caster equipped with a scraper, and its strip casting ability was tested. The effects of the scraper angle and load, the roll speed, and the pouring temperature of the molten metal on the scribed surface, thickness distribution and average strip thickness were investigated. The scribed surface characteristics were sound and the thickness distribution was flat when the scraper angle was 60° and the scraper load was in the range of 1 to 4 kg. When the scraper load was more than 1 kg, the thickness distribution was uneven. The average strip thickness decreased as the roll speed increased. The pouring temperature of the molten metal influenced the evenness of the solidified layer thickness. The solidified layer became even as the molten metal temperature was decreased. A strip cast with the determined optimal conditions was then cold rolled down to 1 mm to improve its surface quality.

The general objective of this work is to analyze the quality factors of the supply chain service in the western regional direction of the company Cervezas Cuauhtémoc Moctezuma - Heineken México. The analysis was framed in a model proposed by Gohain, Thambiah and Hong (2018) which measures six dimensions of service quality: the object, the process, the infrastructure, the interaction, the environment and social responsibility. A survey was applied as an instrument to collect the responses of active providers in the western region of Mexico. The results were estimated by using STATA 14 to evaluate the relationship between the proposed factors. The results highlight that the quality of the supply chain is influenced by the quality criteria of the product, the process and the interaction. In this way, this research contributes with relevant information that allows them to make quick and practical decisions to use those responsible for the company's supply chain, as well as other economic sectors.

The solidification and process optimization for twin-roll casting of magnesium alloys have been studied. Effects of roll speed, roller diameter, setback length and strip thickness on the position of the solidification front and the surface quality of strip were analyzed through experiments. A kiss-point model which considers the strip thickness, set-back length and roll speed was established to optimize process and enhance the surface quality of magnesium alloy strip. Results showed that the twin-roll casting process could be effectively stabilized and optimized under the direction of the model, and the defectless magnesium alloy strip was obtained.

Nowadays, the quality of virtual service is diminishing, in which different aspects of E-business industry is signifying, especially in the business to business (B2B). E-procurement is part of the e-business, therefore, quality factors of E-procurement originates from e-business. Much research has focused on the critical success factors of E-procurement, however, when it comes to implementation, many E-procurements fail, which can be very costly. This article attempts to increase the success rate of E-procurement, and ensures that the success of E-procurement is more sustainable. This research estimates the structural equation model by collecting data from 208 managers to employ quantitative analysis to investigate the relationship between E-procurement quality factors. The result of this research shows that the quality of the organization culture has partial mediator relationship to the success of E-procurement. Meanwhile, the quality of IT infrastructure does not have a mediator relationship with the success of E-procurement. Lastly, quality of knowledge management has a full mediator relationship with the success of E-procurement and it does not affect the dynamic capability of organization directly.

This paper is intended to quantify the relationship between the peen forming effectiveness and various involved parameters through a realistic numerical study. For this purpose, a new finite element (FE) model is proposed with full geometry representation, random shots generation, and rate-dependent material law of kinematic strain-hardening. The mesh sensitivity and effects of boundary conditions are carefully examined. The FE model is validated by comparing the results with the experimental measurements. The proposed model is then used to investigate the effects of the peening intensity (represented as the shot velocity) and the strip thickness on the peen-formed deflection and the residual stress distribution for strips made of Ti-6Al-4V. Our results indicate the existence of a maximum convex deflection for different strip thicknesses. In addition, a reversed deflection (i.e., concaved curvature) is observed for severe peening conditions (i.e., thin strip under high peening intensity). Our simulations verify the previous proposition that a concaved curvature can be generated only when the whole cross section is plastically deformed.

Based on the research on the solidification of twin-roll continuous casting aluminum alloy thin strip, the analytical model of heterogeneous nucleation, the growth kinetics of tip (KGT) of twin-roll continuous casting aluminum alloy thin strip solidification are established by means of the principle of metal solidification, meantime based on the cellular automaton, the emulational model of twin-roll continuous casting aluminum alloy thin strip solidification is established. The foundation for the emulational simulation of twin-roll continuous casting thin strip solidification structure is laid. Meanwhile has confirmed the mathematical simulation feasibility by using the solidification process of twin-roll continuous casting aluminum alloy Thin Strip.
