Based on an extensive literature review, this paper identifies nine erosion factors that lead to the birth of open innovation and discovers their interrelations by using Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM). As a result, digital technologies and globalization emerged as major drivers. More interestingly, erosion factors proposed by leading open innovation scholars emerged as weak drivers, meaning that open innovation is driven by other factors. We argue that a better understanding of these factors and their interrelations provide valuable insights for managers and policy makers in emerging markets on facilitating the adoption of open innovation and promoting a more open business environment.

Abstract The process of offshore drilling faces several challenges. The process of mixing of water and oil results in issues that lead to the contamination of ocean water. Therefore, this study focuses on the hazards and the measures taken to cover up those hazards of offshore drilling. There are types of offshore drilling hazards such as health hazards and safety hazards. In connection to identify the hazards facing in offshore drilling and taking measures to prevent these hazards, ISM (interpretive structural modeling) technique is used. Data is collected through extensive literature review and by conducting interviews from Japan and China. Experts from academia and industry specialists are approached for interview. Eight important Measures to prevent the hazards due to offshore drilling have been identified. And the relationship among these measures are depicted by constructing SSIM (structural self-interaction matrix). The next step of ISM technique which is reachability matrix, developed which also establish the driving and dependence power of each variable. After reachability matrix a diagram is discussed where the measures are depicted in relation to their dependency, drive and independency levels, which show the influence of each measure with other. This study is valuable in the field of offshore drilling for top managers in decision making and for literature review study. Further, this study has some limitation, if the contributions of experts from other countries would have been exerted in our research that may came up with more measures for the prevention of hazards encounter in Offshore oil drilling. Further, quantitative analysis should be considered to find the absolute values to evaluate the measure.

This article makes an attempt to understand crowdsourcing and its increasing importance in organizations. It explores how crowd acts as a problem solver and crowdsourcing generates ideas that lead to open innovation for an organization. The paper also throws light on how with the arrival and advancement of digital technologies, the concept of crowdsourcing has gained popularity and has received well acceptance in the organizations. This is followed by a detailed analysis on various researchers' views and thoughts on the subject. Based on the extensive literature review, this paper attempts to identify knowledge gaps and research gaps. This study is an attempt to create concepts on social media crowdsourcing and provide research directions to further explore the subject.

Virtual reality represents one of the most promising digital technologies and offers significant benefits in various areas such as medicine, entertainment, training, teaching, and tourism. This study attempts to identify, analyse, and present the existing virtual reality applications in tourism, and to predict future possible developments. Based on an extensive literature review, as well as on the direct observation and use of virtual reality applications implemented on the Web, this chapter attempts a classification of the virtual reality applications in tourism, based on different phases of tourist experience. This classification can assist practitioners in developing more adapted virtual reality applications for tourist activities.

Customer cognitive legitimacy is an important factor in a new business venture’s survival. Based on an extensive literature review of customer cognitive legitimacy, this book examines the consistent conceptualisation of the concept and its dimensional structure. This consistent conceptualisation facilitates the development of the reliable and valid three-dimensional customer cognitive legitimacy scale in 10 studies. The scale is based on potential customers’ interest in acquiring knowledge about a product and the company responsible for it, their perception of the company’s and the product’s future, and their perception of how competent the company’s managers are.

Cultural display in an open space or known as cultural parks appears rapidly as a worldwide phenomenon. From the European model which has a strong educational value, to the Asian parks which not only has educational function, but also has recreational purposes. So many types and characteristics of these parks, researches give them different names, thodse are Open-air museums, Ethnographic Theme Parks or even Theme Parks. Taman Mini Indonesia Indah as a part of this phenomenon was built first and foremost for educational purposes, therefore Taman Mini can be considered as an open-air museum. However, since Taman Mini also has recreational purposes, others can argue that Taman Mini is a theme park. Qualitative method will be used for this research, through observation to Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, followed by extensive literature review. With these data along with a table which points out the distinction between museum and theme parks. It can  be concluded that Taman Mini is a Theme Park.

This chapter provides an introduction to Xu Xu and Wumingshi and covers the book’s structure and methodology. It critiques the various terms that are used in both English and Chinese studies to categorise popular Chinese literature in the Republican period and it discusses the basis of the established divide between elite “new literature” (xin wenxue) and the much-castigated popular literature in China. It is argued that the term “Shanghai School” (haipai), a concept covering Shanghai popular literature from the 1920s to the 1940s, is too broad to be useful in analysing literature from this period or distinguishing between literary trends. The chapter also contains an extensive literature review, covering both English and Chinese works as they pertain to this study.
