Web based e-learning software for optical link design

The OER is a comparatively innovative phenomenon which perhaps seen as a part of a bigger movement towards openness in advanced education including more familiar and recognized trends, for example Open Access (OA) and Open Source Software (OSS). This study introduces a web based service for collaborative authoring learning to create, share and explore dynamic contents since many problems occurred while using the current e-learning software such as Moodle and LAMS. This paper proposed the alternative e-learning software technology based on grid portal, grid computing platform and it was implemented in two courses. The conventional web based education may not suitable for collaborative tools and online collaborative authoring environment because of slow operation in searching, uploading, visualizing output, and file sharing. The new web based service offers an efficient authoring infrastructure dealing with online collaborative tools and collaborative authoring environment based on grid portal technology to solve the unequal distribution of task and compensation problem as well as investigates how to improve access and usefulness for the users of such OER. UCLA Grid Portal open source software with parallel computing system has been implemented in order to design the efficient authoring infrastructure and to implement an online graphics, animation, audio and video technology courses. The idea is to show how the environment can offer web assisted education that goes beyond providing digital learning materials. The OER, especially in the collaborative authoring activity environment in parallel computing are designed to provide students with new environment where they can share skills, knowledge, and understanding within the group members as well as to enhance students’ teamwork skills in parallel and distributed processing for high performance computing. Based on the strong foundations, hopefully the users are ready to apply their knowledge, creativity and leadership to fulfill the need of their future career development. As a conclusion, the collaborative authoring learning becomes more effective in terms of performance evaluations analysis.

These days, because of the coronavirus, all countries are introducing online university systems. Online universities have the advantage of allowing students to take classes anytime, anywhere, 24 h a day, but lectures are given in a non-face-to-face manner between instructors and students. Thus, while students are taking classes on a web-based basis, the problem arises that concentration on the lectures is significantly reduced. Therefore, in order to solve these problems, in this paper, we propose a level-wise learning algorithm based on the difficulty level of the test problem, and we present the simulation results. In order to improve this problem, in this paper, we propose an automatic music recommendation algorithm based on fuzzy reasoning that can improve the level of learning and lecture concentration, and we show our results on developing a web-based, smart e-learning software. As a result of computer simulation, it was proved that the learning test method, considering by level the difficulty of the test and the incorrect answer rate, was more effective than the existing test method, judged the student’s grades fairly, and improved the risk of unfairly failing the test by 30%.

With the rapid advancement of computing technology, the paradigm of learning has been changed from the classroom environment to the web environment. The support software for e-learning is key to implementing such a web-based learning paradigm. In this paper, a general approach to construct an elearning software system is proposed and described. The approach is based on an analogy between e-learning and mass customization product design. In the case of mass customization product design, customers can participate in a product design and realization process regardless of temporal and spatial restrictions. In the case of e-learning, learners can access a virtual teaching center at any time and at any place. This analogy has further led us to exploit fruitful developments in computer software for mass customization, in particular, a so called web-based configuration design system through the constraint satisfaction problem (CSP) approach. This paper discusses both conceptual development and implementation. An illustration is given for implementation.

The Nursing Institution of Aceh Polytechnic is the most demanded and has the highest number of students every year and supported by 4 Prodi located in several strategic locations within Aceh Province. Required a development effort in the form of learning media design through e-Learning with the object of study that emphasizes on nursing materials and supporting courses because it can give more time and opportunity for students to be able to discuss. The aim of this research is to know the efficacy of teaching and learning activities through the application of e-Learning application. The system was developed at D-IV Nursing Study Program at Banda Aceh for 6 months starting from June to November 2016 is web-based and uses Moodle as its learning software called Internet Enabled Learning. The results of this study show that this system can improve the quality of subject learning in D-IV Nursing Study Program of Banda Aceh so that it can be used as a means to support teaching and learning process and not only implement teaching materials, but also create a mature learning scenario to invite active student involvement And constructive in their learning process. Diperlukan suatu upaya pengembangan berupa perancangan media pembelajaran melalui e-Learning dengan objek kajian yang menitik-beratkan pada materi keperawatan dan mata kuliah pendukung karena dapat memberi lebih banyak waktu dan kesempatan kepada mahasiswa untuk bisa berdiskusi. Penelitian bersifat research and design ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efikasi kegiatan belajar mengajar melalui penerapan aplikasi e-Learning. Sistem yang dikembangkan pada Prodi D-IV Keperawatan Banda Aceh selama 6 bulan mulai bulan Juni s.d November 2016 adalah berbasis web dan menggunakan Moodle sebagai software pembelajarannya yang disebut Internet Enabled Learning. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa sistem ini dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran mata kuliah pada Prodi D-IV Keperawatan Banda Aceh sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai sarana yang menunjang proses belajar mengajar serta tidak hanya mengimplementasikan materi ajar, tetapi juga menciptakan skenario pembelajaran dengan matang untuk mengundang keterlibatan mahasiswa secara aktif dan konstruktif dalam proses belajar mereka. Model perancangan diharapkan dapat dikembangkan secara lebih luas untuk diaplikasikan pada jajaran Poltekkes Kemenkes Aceh.Kata Kunci : Berbasis web, e-learning, persepsi
