The goal of this paper is to tackle joint decisions in assigning production and organizing transportation for single product in a production-transportation network system with multiple manufacturers and multiple demands. In order to meet practical situation, assume that the variant costs and the amounts of the consumption of raw materials that every manufacturer produces per unit product are all uncertain variables in manufacturing processes; meanwhile, the demands that each destination needs are random variables in the transportation problem. Then, a joint optimization model of production and transportation is developed, in which the uncertain chance constraint and the stochastic chance constraint are applied in the manufacturing processes and the transporting processes, respectively, and transformed into a deterministic form by taking expected value on objective function and confidence level on the constraint functions. Finally, a practical example points out the effectiveness of our model.

<div><p><em>Terminal is included in the transportation network system which functions as a place for passengers to take the bus and a place to drop the passengers. Terminal is also the element of </em><em>spatial</em><em> arrangement which influences the structure and system of a town’s movement.</em><em> </em><em>The development of Giri Adipura Terminal in Singodutan Village which was done from 2010 to 2014 is aimed to recover the performance of previous terminal and to develop the surrounding area. Phenomenon which was happened in Giri Adipura Terminal is there were still many passengers who were not utilizing the terminal function and the public transportations were not entering the terminal in order. This research was done to know the performance of Giri Adipura Terminal function in transportation system in Wonogiri Regency. The used research method was quantitative with deductive approach.</em><em> </em><em>The used analysis technique was scoring, by determined the parameter and indicator in each variabel. The result of scoring calculation from the performance of Giri Adipura Terminal function in transportation system in Wonogiri Regency was 9.33. Based on the performance of terminal function category, 9.33 score was in range of 6.68—9.35, so it was included in the average performance category. Thus, the performance of Giri Adipura Terminal function in transportation system in Wonogiri Regency has not reach a good performance yet and it needs some things which should be done to reach that performance. For the performance of each variabl</em><em>e</em><em>, variables which were in the good performance category were accessibility and traffic management. The bridges are of much importance to the transportation network system, as they connect key highways at crucial nodes. This paper reviews and discussed risk-based methodologies to assess the risk acceptability and cost-effectiveness of protective measures for bridge under multiple manmade or natural hazards. Three risk acceptance criteria based on fatality risks, failure probabilities and net benefit assessment were described and discussed. The decision support framework accompanying these risk acceptance criteria considers hazard probabilities, value of human life, physical and indirect damages, risk reduction and protective measure costs were studied and an illustrative example was presented.

Abstract Ring-shaped objects, used mainly as bracelets, appear in the archaeological record associated with the first farming societies around the Mediterranean area. These bracelets, among other personal ornaments, are related to the spread of the farming economy in the Mediterranean (10th–6th millennium BC). In particular, stone bracelets, given their intricate technology, are linked with the early stages of craft specialization and the beginnings of complex social organization. Likewise, their frequency in Early Neolithic assemblages and the lithologies in which they were made have become an important element in the study of the circulation networks of goods, as well as the symbolic behaviors and aesthetic preferences of the first farming groups. This research provides the first overview of the stone bracelets of Neolithic groups in the Mediterranean. We compare the similarities and differences among these ornaments in different geographical zones across the region including Turkey, Greece, Italy, and Spain. Using all the information available about these ornaments – chronology, typology, raw materials and manufacturing processes, use-wear, repair, and alteration practices – we shed light on a complex archaeological trans-cultural manifestation related to the spread of the Neolithic lifestyle across the European continent.

The decade of the ’80s was ushered in with a new dimension for designers, the availability of, and the meteoric cost increases of key materials. Though cost consciousness has always been a materials selection factor, current rates of increase make selection decisions more critical. Shortages of key metals such as cobalt, titanium, tantalum, molybdenum, and columbium, as well as potential problems with chromium and aluminum force the designer to carefully weigh his decisions. Questions of basic raw materials availability, metal conversion capacity, and the increasing influence of raw materials cost upon product cost must be considered. Vehicular gas turbine engine designers must evaluate materials selection decisions based upon these factors, and accompanying manufacturing processes to minimize input material requirements., Achieving high performance, with the required durability, at an acceptance cost is a bigger challenge than ever. This paper provides a view of the critical material situation and outlook, and typical options that are available.

When the transportation system of any States in Nigeria is effective, it positively contributes to effective economy growth and infrastructural facilities; saves stress and generate revenue to the authorities. This is the desire of every ministry of Transportation for State in Nigeria although a number of constraints usually make it not attainable. The transportation system presently operated by the Ministry of Transportation, Kwara was studied and found to be suffering, cumbersome, exploitative and fall short in all standards of a good transportation network system. Therefore this paper seeks to present the results of the research carried out to Big Data Analytic Solution (BDAS) for the management of the transport companies’ network system within Kwara State. The research adopts a transportation frame work design solution, MySQL for data migration and Php framework ‘codeigniter’ for productive server for the full development. The phase testing is carried out and presents the improved version for the improvement in routes schedules, company’s services and driver’s registration and user booking. The system will serve as open access to heterogeneous communities in Kwara State, Nigeria and make easy booking for passengers, assist communities in management of transportation systems within kwara state, Nigeria.

Tourism development needs a good accessibility to support regional connectivity. This study aims to analyse the role of transportation network for tourism destination development in the Cirebon City. This research uses GIS-based network spatial analysis to obtain road network system components in each sub-district, thus transportation indices value which includes alpha index, beta index, Gama index, eta index and road density network. The results shows The Cirebon City has low-medium connectivity and accessibility with alpha index 0.1323, beta index 1.2608, Gama index, 0.4221, eta index 0.1576 and road network density reach 20.869 km / km2. On sub-district level, Pekalipan is the most accessible region based on all parameters of road network and create a suitable place for tourism development in the Cirebon City.
