Wireless sensor technology has penetrated various domains of today’s life and plays a vital role in the advanced technology. Numerous researchers have combined this outstanding technology with other fields such as resource mining, industry, healthcare, automobile system, gaming industry, and dramas. However, in traditional resource mining, long mining time leads to incomplete mining results along with low accuracy. In order to improve the effect of resource mining, we have proposed an effective Quantum Generic Algorithm (QGA) based on drama resource mining by using wireless sensor technology. In our proposed scheme, we have combined the RFID technology of wireless sensor with wireless network protocol stack for the purpose of collecting drama resources on the network platform. We have classified the drama resources on the network platform by using QGA based on the results of resources collection. Additionally, we have mined the semantic association features of frequent patterns of the drama resources on the platform and combined with the fuzzy attribute feature detection method. The experimental results show that this method is superior to the traditional methods in terms of resource mining time, mining results’ comprehensiveness, and mining results’ accuracy, which shows that this method has practical application value.

Earth is solitary among the rocky planets revolving in the solar system. It is the only planet that is 3/4 covered with oceans of liquid water. In today's era, wireless sensor network is used in almost places and also is an interesting topic for researchers too. But with the advancement in technology, a network similar to wireless sensor network can be deployed under the water with acoustic signals for data transmission. Because of harsh environment and some more challenges, underwater communication becomes tricky. Underwater wireless sensor networks (UWSNs) is an advanced technology for underwater explorations and have demonstrated their quality in underwater applications. UWSN is a blend of wireless technology with sensor technology that has some extraordinary features like smart sensing, intelligent computing, and communication capabilities. Further, to maintain the secure communication underwater, it becomes more and more tricky. This chapter presents an expansive analysis of challenges, attacks, and security techniques of UWSNs.

In the current scenario of Wireless Sensor Network (WSN), power consumption is the major issue associated with nodes in WSN. LEACH technique plays a vital role of clustering in WSN and reduces the energy usage effectively. But LEACH has its own limitation in order to search cluster head nodes which are randomly distributed over the network. In this paper, ERA-NFL- BA algorithm is being proposed for selects the cluster heads in WSN. This algorithm help in selection of cluster heads can freely transform from global search to local search. At the end, a comparison has been done with earlier researcher using protocol ERA-NFL, which clearly shown that proposed Algorithm is best suited and from comparison results that ERA-NFL-BA has given better performance.

Overcoming Localization Errors due to Node Power Drooping in a Wireless Sensor NetworkReceived Signal Strength Indication (RSSI) plays a vital role in the range-free localization of sensor nodes in a wireless sensor network and a good amount of research has been made in this regard. One important factor is the battery voltage of the nodes (i.e., the MICAz sensors) which is not taken into account in the existing literature. As battery voltage level performs an indispensable role for the position estimation of sensor nodes through anchor nodes therefore, in this paper, we take into a account this crucial factor and propose an algorithm that overcomes the problem of decaying battery. We show the results, in terms of more precise localization of sensor nodes through simulation. This work is an extension to [1] and now we also use neural network to overcome the localization errors generated due to gradual battery voltage drooping.

Purpose – This paper aims to examine the community development approaches of large-scale mining companies, with particular reference to how they may engender community dependency. Design/methodology/approach – The paper begins with a review of corporate social responsibility (CSR) in the mining industry, corporate community initiatives and the problem of mining dependency at a national, regional and local levels. Findings – It outlines some of the reasons why less-developed countries (LDCs) experience under-development and detrimental effects as a result of their linkages with industrialized countries. LDCs are not able to take advantage of advanced technology and management skills due to being relatively poor in capital and skills, and foreign technologies compete unfairly with and destroy local production techniques, creating a pool of unemployable “marginalized” people. Holder’s of investments in LDCs demand annual returns for continued support – profits are taken out of the country or guaranteed by tax concessions. Unwillingness of foreign firms to train local people to take over management positions. Originality/value – This paper explores how the need to address sustainability issues has affected communities, and whether community development initiatives have been effective in contributing to more sustainable communities.

Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) for healthcare have emerged in the recent years. Wireless technology has been developed and used widely for different medical fields. This technology provides healthcare services for patients, especially who suffer from chronic diseases. Services such as catering continuous medical monitoring and get rid of disturbance caused by the sensor of instruments. Sensors are connected to a patient by wires and become bed-bound that less from the mobility of the patient. In this paper, proposed a real-time heart pulse monitoring system via conducted an electronic circuit architecture to measure Heart Pulse (HP) for patients and display heart pulse measuring via smartphone and computer over the network in real-time settings. In HP measuring application standpoint, using sensor technology to observe heart pulse by bringing the fingerprint to the sensor via used Arduino microcontroller with Ethernet shield to connect heart pulse circuit to the internet and send results to the web server and receive it anywhere. The proposed system provided the usability by the user (user-friendly) not only by the specialist. Also, it offered speed andresults accuracy, the highest availability with the user on an ongoing basis, and few cost.
