The possibility of strange stars mixed with dark energy to be one of the candidates for dark energy stars is the main issue of the present study. Our investigation shows that quark matter atcs as dark energy after a certain yet unknown critical condition inside the quark stars. Our proposed model reveals that strange stars mixed with dark energy feature a physically acceptable stable model and mimic characteristics of dark energy stars. The plausible connections are shown through the mass-radius relation as well as the entropy and temperature. We particularly note that a two-fluid distribution is a major reason for the anisotropic nature of the spherical stellar system.

A pedagogical overview of strange quark matter and strange stars is presented. After a historical notation of the research and an introduction to quark matter, a major part is devoted to the physics and astrophysics of strange stars, with attention being paid to the possible ways by which neutron stars and strange stars can be distinguished in astrophysics. Recent possible evidence for bare strange stars is also discussed.

Abstract The main aim of this manuscript is to explore the existence and salient features of spherically symmetric relativistic quark stars in the background of massive Brans-Dicke gravity. The exact solutions to the modified Einstein field equations are derived for specific forms of coupling and scalar field functions by using the equation of state relating to the strange quark matter that stimulates the phenomenological MIT-Bag model as a free Fermi gas of quarks. We use a well-behaved function along with Karmarkar condition for class-one embedding as well as junction conditions to determine the unknown metric tensors. The radii of the strange compact stars viz., PSR J1416-2230, PSR J1903+327, 4U 1820-30, CenX-3, EXO1785-248 are predicted via their observed mass for different values of the massive Brans-Dicke parameters. We explore the influences of mass of scalar field $m_{\phi}$ as well as coupling parameter $\omega_{BD}$ along with bag constant $\mathcal{B}$ on state determinants and perform several tests on the viability and stability of the constructed stellar model. Conclusively, we find that our stellar system is physically viable and stable as it satisfies all the energy conditions as well as necessary stability criteria under the influence of a gravitational scalar field.

New forms of matter such as super-hypernuclei (strange quark matter) and superhypernuclear stars (strange quark stars) as candidates for dark matter are discussed in some detail, based on the so-called "Bodmer–Terazawa–Witten hypothesis" assuming that they are stable absolutely or quasi-stable (decaying only weakly).

The properties of dense quark matter are investigated in the perturbation theory with a rapidly convergent matching-invariant running coupling. The fast convergence is mainly due to the resummation of an infinite number of known logarithmic terms in a compact form. The only parameter in this model, the ratio of the renormalization subtraction point to the chemical potential, is restricted to be about 2.64 according to the Witten–Bodmer conjecture, which gives the maximum mass and the biggest radius of quark stars to be, respectively, two times the solar mass and 11.7[Formula: see text]km.

In this paper, a new third-order approximation model for an acoustic-structure interaction problem is introduced. The new approximation model is designed to be an accurate and a stable model for predicting the response of a submerged structure. The proposed model is obtained by combining two lower order approximation models instead of using an operator matching method. The stability of this model is checked by a modal analysis. Finally, the approximation model is coupled to the spherical shell structure, and its performance is checked by a shock analysis.

We study the effect of a strong magnetic field on interacting quark matter and apply the same to strange star. We find that interacting strange matter is less stable than noninteracting strange matter in the presence of a strong magnetic field. We then calculate strange star structure parameters such as mass and radius and find that the strange star is less compact for interacting quark matter than for free quark matter in presence of strong magnetic field. The maximum masses of strange stars are found to be within the recent observational limit.
