Abstract The main aim of this manuscript is to explore the existence and salient features of spherically symmetric relativistic quark stars in the background of massive Brans-Dicke gravity. The exact solutions to the modified Einstein field equations are derived for specific forms of coupling and scalar field functions by using the equation of state relating to the strange quark matter that stimulates the phenomenological MIT-Bag model as a free Fermi gas of quarks. We use a well-behaved function along with Karmarkar condition for class-one embedding as well as junction conditions to determine the unknown metric tensors. The radii of the strange compact stars viz., PSR J1416-2230, PSR J1903+327, 4U 1820-30, CenX-3, EXO1785-248 are predicted via their observed mass for different values of the massive Brans-Dicke parameters. We explore the influences of mass of scalar field $m_{\phi}$ as well as coupling parameter $\omega_{BD}$ along with bag constant $\mathcal{B}$ on state determinants and perform several tests on the viability and stability of the constructed stellar model. Conclusively, we find that our stellar system is physically viable and stable as it satisfies all the energy conditions as well as necessary stability criteria under the influence of a gravitational scalar field.

In this paper, we construct anisotropic model representing salient features of strange stars in the framework of massive Brans–Dicke gravity. We formulate the field equations for Tolman–Kuchowicz ansatz by incorporating the MIT bag model. Junction conditions are applied on the boundary of the stellar model to evaluate the unknown constants in terms of mass and radius of the star. The radius of the strange star candidate PSR J1614-2230 is predicted by assuming maximum anisotropy at the surface of the star for different values of the coupling parameter, mass of the scalar field and bag constant. We examine various properties as well as the viability and stability of the anisotropic sphere. We conclude that the astrophysical model agrees with the essential criteria of a physically realistic model for higher values of the coupling parameter as well as mass of the scalar field.

We discuss the existence of compact stars in the context of [Formula: see text] gravity model, where additional logarithmic corrections are assumed. Here, [Formula: see text] is the Ricci scalar and [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text] are constant values. Further, the compact stars are considered to be anisotropic in nature, due to the spherical symmetry and high density. For this purpose, we derive the Einstein field equations by considering Krori–Barua spacetime. For our proposed model, the physical acceptability is verified by employing several physical tests like the energy conditions, Herrera cracking concept and stability condition. In addition to this, we also discuss some important properties such as mass–radius relation, surface redshift and the speed of sound are analyzed. Our results are compared with observational stellar mass data, namely, 4U 1820-30, Cen X-3, EXO 1785-248 and LMC X-4. The graphical representation of obtained solutions provide strong evidences for more realistic and viable stellar model.

In this paper, we present a strange stellar model using Tolman [Formula: see text]-type metric potential employing simplest form of the MIT bag equation of state (EOS) for the quark matter. We consider that the stellar system is spherically symmetric, compact and made of an anisotropic fluid. Choosing different values of [Formula: see text] we obtain exact solutions of the Einstein field equations and finally conclude that for a specific value of the parameter [Formula: see text], we find physically acceptable features of the stellar object. Further, we conduct different physical tests, viz., the energy condition, generalized Tolman–Oppeheimer–Volkoff (TOV) equation, Herrera’s cracking concept, etc., to confirm the physical validity of the presented model. Matching conditions provide expressions for different constants whereas maximization of the anisotropy parameter provides bag constant. By using the observed data of several compact stars, we derive exact values of some of the physical parameters and exhibit their features in tabular form. It is to note that our predicted value of the bag constant satisfies the report of CERN-SPS and RHIC.

AbstractThe main focus of this paper is to discuss the solutions of Einstein’s Field Equations (EFEs) for compact spherical objects study. To supply exact solution of the EFEs, we have considered the distribution of anisotropic matter governed by a new version of Chaplygin fluid equation of state (EoS). To determine different constants, we have represented the outer space-time by the Schwarzschild metric. Using the observed values of the mass for the various strange spherical object candidates, we have expanded anisotropic emphasize at the surface to forecast accurate radius estimates. Moreover, we implement various analysis to examine the physical acceptability and stability of our suggested stellar model viz., the energy conditions, cracking method, adiabatic index, etc. Graphical survey exhibits that the obtained stellar system fulfills the physical and mathematical prerequisites of the strange astrophysical object candidates Cyg X-2, Vela X-1, 4U 1636-536, 4U 1608-52, PSR J1903+327 to examine the various physical parameters and their effects on the anisotropic stellar model. The investigation reveals that complicated geometries arise from the interior matter distribution obeys a new version of Chaplygin fluid EoS and they are physically pertinent in the investigation of discovered compact structures.

This work is to introduce a new kind of modified gravitational theory, named as [Formula: see text] (also [Formula: see text]) gravity, where [Formula: see text] is the Ricci scalar, [Formula: see text] is Gauss–Bonnet invariant and [Formula: see text] is the trace of the energy–momentum tensor. With the help of different models in this gravity, we investigate some physical features of different relativistic compact stars. For this purpose, we develop the effectively modified field equations, conservation equation, and the equation of motion for test particle. Then, we check the impact of additional force (massive test particle followed by a nongeodesic line of geometry) on compact objects. Furthermore, we took three notable stars named as [Formula: see text], [Formula: see text] and [Formula: see text]. The physical behavior of the energy density, anisotropic pressures, different energy conditions, stability, anisotropy, and the equilibrium scenario of these strange compact stars are analyzed through various plots. Finally, we conclude that the energy conditions hold, and the core of these stars is so dense.

A new compact stars nonsingular model is presented with the generalized Bardeen–Hayward mass function. Generalized Bardeen–Hayward described the regular black hole, however, due to its regularity or nonsingular nature we were inspired to construct an anisotropic compact stars model. Along with the ansatz mass function, we coupled it with a linear equation of state (EoS) to find the solutions of field equations. Indeed, the new solutions are physically viable in all physical ground. The energy conditions and Tolman–Oppenheimer–Volkoff (TOV)-equation are well satisfied signifying that the mass distribution is physically possible and at equilibrium. Also, the static stability criterion, the causality condition and Abreu’s stability condition hold good and therefore configurations are physically static stable. The same condition is further supported by the condition that the adiabatic index, which is greater than the Newtonian limit, i.e. [Formula: see text]. It is also noticed that the bag constant [Formula: see text] is proportional to the surface density in our model.

The objective of this work is to explore a new parametric class of exact solutions of the Einstein field equations coupled with the Karmarkar condition. Assuming a new metric potential [Formula: see text] with parameter (n), we find a parametric class of solutions which is physically well-behaved and represents compact stellar model of the neutron star in Vela X-1. A detailed study specifically shows that the model actually corresponds to the neutron star in Vela X-1 in terms of the mass and radius. In this connection, we investigate several physical properties like the variation of pressure, density, pressure–density ratio, adiabatic sound speeds, adiabatic index, energy conditions, stability, anisotropic nature and surface redshift through graphical plots and mathematical calculations. All the features from these studies are in excellent conformity with the already available evidences in theory. Further, we study the variation of physical properties of the neutron star in Vela X-1 with the parameter (n).

The aim of this work is to examine the nature as well as physical characteristics of anisotropic spherically symmetric stellar candidates in the context of [Formula: see text] gravity. We assume that the fluid components such as pressure and energy density are related through MIT bag model equation-of-state in the interior of stellar system. In order to analyze the structure formation of some specific star models, the field equations are constructed using Krori–Barua solution in which the unknown constants are evaluated by employing observed values of radii and masses of the considered stars. We check the consistency of [Formula: see text] model through the graphical analysis of energy conditions as well as stability of stellar structure. It is found that our considered stars show viable as well as stable behavior for this model.

In the present paper, we have constructed a new relativistic anisotropic compact star model having a spherically symmetric metric of embedding class one. Here we have assumed an arbitrary form of metric function [Formula: see text] and solved the Einstein’s relativistic field equations with the help of Karmarkar condition for an anisotropic matter distribution. The physical properties of our model such as pressure, density, mass function, surface red-shift, gravitational redshift are investigated and the stability of the stellar configuration is discussed in details. Our model is free from central singularities and satisfies all energy conditions. The model we present here satisfy the static stability criterion, i.e. [Formula: see text] for [Formula: see text][Formula: see text]g/cm3(stable region) and for [Formula: see text][Formula: see text]g/cm3, the region is unstable i.e. [Formula: see text].

Current study highlights the physical characteristics of charged anisotropic compact stars by exploring some exact solutions of modified field equations in [Formula: see text] gravity. A comprehensive analysis is performed from the obtained solutions regarding stability, energy conditions, regularity, sound velocity and compactness. These solutions can be referred to model the compact celestial entities. In particular, a compact star named, [Formula: see text] has been modeled which indicates that current solution fits and is in conformity to the observational data as well. A useful and interesting fact from this model arises that relative difference between two forces of anisotropic pressure and electromagnetic force may occur inside the aforementioned compact star. This is another mechanism which is essential for stability of the compact object and prevent stellar object to annihilate.
