In order to improve the damage feature extraction effect of prefabricated residential building components and improve the structural stability of prefabricated residential components, this paper applies BIM technology to the structural feature analysis of prefabricated residential components. Moreover, this paper adopts the simple superposition method and combines the first strength theory of material mechanics to derive the formula for calculating the cracking torque of prefabricated residential building components under compound torsion. In addition, based on the variable-angle space truss model, this paper uses a simple superposition method to derive the calculation formula for the ultimate torque of composite torsion of fabricated residential building components and applies it to the BIM fabricated residential model. Finally, this paper constructs an intelligent BIM prefabricated residential building construction damage characteristic monitoring system. Through experimental research, it can be seen that the intelligent BIM prefabricated residential building construction damage feature monitoring system proposed in this paper can monitor the damage characteristics of prefabricated residential building construction and can predict the evolution of subsequent building features.

Nowadays, under the  situation  of  the accelerating  process  of urbanization,  our  social economic development has also been leaps and bounds and  the  corresponding construction industry has also been high speed developed. Our country in the field of land resources still insist on a solid  strict  management control, therefore, in this context,it will inevitably lead the land resources to face with a tense situation which has become a great test forhigh-rise residential building construction as it appears repeatedly.  Normally, high-rise residential buildings have the characteristics of limited operating surface, high investment  cost,  long construction period and high requirements of construction technology. In view of this, this paper mainly analyzes the high-rise residential building construction technology.

India is a rapidly growing economy witnessing continuous growth in the housing sector and living standards. The main focus of construction practices still remains on the architectural aspects of the buildings, largely unconcerned with their environmental impacts. The current thrust of concern for building sector, especially in developing countries, is to assess the environmental impact of buildings in a quantifiable way for implementing sustainable measures and achieving sustainability. Lifecycle assessment (LCA) is a comprehensive tool that is used worldwide to assess the environmental performance of any product or a process. This paper assesses the environmental impact of a residential house at planning stage on the basis of lifecycle assessment (LCA) considering various stages of building like construction, operation (for service life) and demolition, and identifies the hot-spots in the form of building components, materials, and stages.

The Southwest provinces of China are locations with a rich variety of different dwelling design typologies based on traditional cultures and ethnic groups. In this area, the Province of Yunnan has many such dwelling types, and it is also an area with most frequent earthquakes in China. The seismic problems of housing structure must therefore be solved as part of the study on sustainable development of villages to provide relevant advice for future design options. This paper reports research, which evolved over a ten-year period that deals with the seismic capacity of residential buildings. Simulations using shaking table tests were carried out to assess the performance of traditional residential structures as well with the impacts of material modifications and the structural strengthening of common residential building components found in Yunnan. Relevant and pertinent construction technology solutions that could enhance the seismic capacity of residential buildings and act as innovative improvements for the sustainability of rural dwellings are suggested.

Shanghai Expo Puxi Entertainment Hall is reconstructed based on existing workshop building. To meet new function requirements of the hall, a structural column is removed and replaced with a jacking beam. A structural safety monitoring system is proposed and applied to evaluate the real-time structural state and ensure the structural safety. Vibrating wire sensors and FBG sensors are installed to monitor the stress of member of the space truss structure; ForesightTM series DSTS (Distributed Strain and Temperature Sensors) is installed to monitor the stress of the jacking beam. Results show that the structural safety monitoring system works stably. The safety monitoring system reflects the real-time behavior of the structure and controls the structural reconstruction safety effectively.
