Verbascum oreophilum Koch var. oreophilum and Verbascum cheiranthifolium var. asperulum (Boiss.) Murbeck (Scrophulariaceae) are reported and illustrated for the first time from North-West of Iran. The diagnostic morphological characters from closely related taxa are discussed, and a distribution map of these taxa is provided for Iran.

Celaenorrhinus pyrrha de Nicéville, 1889, a rare species of Hesperiidae previously known to be distributed from northeastern India to Indochina, is reported from southwestern Yunnan and southwestern Chongqing, China. A 658 bp COI gene sequence of this species is published for the first time. Although Chongqing is obviously isolated from the main distribution range, morphological characters of the specimens from this locality do not indicate a subspecies differentiation. Another rare taxon, C. munda munda (Moore, 1884), is also recorded from China for the first time based upon a male specimen from Cuona County in the Tibet Autonomous Region. This is the second specimen of C. munda from China, over 100 years after the holotype of C. munda joka Evans, 1949. The genitalia of both species are illustrated and described. Some taxonomic notes and a distribution map are provided as well.

This paper describes or redescribes 25 species of crab spiders of the genus Lysiteles (Araneae: Thomisidae) from Yunnan Province, China, including: 12 new species (L. arcuatus sp. nov., L. auriculatus sp. nov., L. clavellatus sp. nov., L. conflatus sp. nov., L. corrugus sp. nov., L. curvatus sp. nov., L. distortus sp. nov., L. guoi sp. nov., L. spirellus sp. nov., L. subdianicus sp. nov., L. transversus sp. nov.and L. uniprocessus sp. nov.); 3 new records for China (L. himalayensis Ono, 1979; L. niger Ono, 1979 and L. punctiger Ono, 2001); and 10 species previously known from China (L. ambrosii Ono, 2001, L. bhutanus Ono, 2001, L. conicus Tang, Yin, Peng, Ubick & Griswold, 2007, L. davidi Tang, Yin, Peng,Ubick & Griswold, 2007, L. dentatus Tang, Yin, Peng, Ubick & Griswold, 2007, L. dianicus Song & Zhao, 1994, L. kunmingensis Song & Zhao, 1994, L. maius Ono, 1979, L. saltus Ono, 1979, and L. torsivus Zhang, Zhu & Tso, 2006). The males of L. punctiger and L. dianicus are described here for the first time. Of these 25 Lysiteles species, 24 were collected from the Gaoligong Mountains, Yunnan Province. Detailed morphological characters, distribution map, photos and illustrations of the habitus and genital organs are given to each species except for the five ones reported in the paper by Tang et al. (2007) (L. ambrosii, L. bhutanus, L. conicus, L. davidi and L. dentatus). All species are described in alphabetic order. The key to species of the genus Lysiteles from Yunnan Province is presented.

Ganoderma is a cosmopolitan genus of fungi with species distributed in temperate and tropical regions. Species of Ganoderma in living Leguminosae were observed in Park de la Salud in Pance, Cali, Colombia and we record G. multiplicatum for the first time from Colombia. A distribution map of this genus in the Neotropical region is presented.

We provide new records and notes on 25 protected and/or threatened vascular plant species in Castilla y León. Some of them illustrate not only new findings but also an interesting expansion of their geographic range. Eight taxa are reported for the first time in some provinces, while eleven of them were two or three times previously reported.

Neognathophausia ingens (Dohrn, 1870) is a bathypelagic crustacean distributed worldwide. In the western Atlantic it has been recorded off the La Plata region, Argentina, and off the coast of Brazil, from the state of Bahia to Rio de Janeiro. We provide new records of N. ingens from the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, about 1188 km south of its previous distribution limit off Brazil, filling the gap between the central West Atlantic and Argentina. Five specimens were analyzed and drawings for all body regions and appendages are presented. Mandible, thoracopods 2, 4, 5, 6 and 8 and pleopods are illustrated and described for the first time. An updated synonym list and a distribution map for this species in Brazil are provided.

A new species of Glaphyridae is described: Pygopleurus rapuzzii n. sp. from northwestern Iran. The new species is sympatric with and shares many character states with P. anahitae Mitter, from which it can be differentiated by the shape of genital parts and by morphological characters of head, pronotum, and elytra. Both species are illustrated for the first time. New records from Iran are given for other species of the genus Pygopleurus Motschulsky.

This is the first in a series of reports describing new records caught with circle hooks, a method only now being employed in exploratory fishing in Brazilian deep waters. Several new records of deep-water fishes were obtained with this equipment. In this paper we record for the first time the occurrence of two genera and species of Bramidae in Brazilian waters: the tropical pomfret Eumegistus brevorti and the keeltail pomfret Taractes rubescens. We also report on previously unnoticed collection records from preserved specimens of Pterycombus brama in museum collections, and the first capture of an adult bigscale pomfret Taractichthys longipinnis in Brazil. These new records increase the number of bramid species known from Brazilian waters to ten. The addition of P. brama to the Brazilian Bramidae makes the Southwestern Atlantic the only known area of the world where two species of Pterycombus are found together. Meristic, biometric, and new biological data are presented for Eumegistus brevorti. Some species of bramids are rather rare and even if well described in the literature there are morphological characters and behavioral aspects yet to be added. Herein we present detailed descriptions of some bramid species to add to their published descriptions. A key to the Western Atlantic Bramidae is provided.

<p><strong>Abstract. </strong>We herein provide an updated checklist of 33 amphibian species from Phu Yen Province, Vietnam. Eight of them are reported for the first time from this province, namely <em>Ophryophryne gerti, O. hansi, Xenophrys major, </em><em>Glyphoglossus molossus, Kaloula indochinensis, Microhyla berdmorei, M. nanapollexa, </em>and <em>Amolops spinapectoralis.</em> Additional data of morphological characters of afore mentioned species were also provided. The number of amphibian species recorded was highest from Tay Hoa district (18 species), followed by Song Hinh district (15 species), Dong Xuan district (10 species), Tuy Hoa city (8 specise), Son Hoa district (8 species), Dong Hoa (4 specise), and Tuy An district (3 species). In terms of conservation concern, three species are listed in the IUCN Red List (2016) and one species is listed in the Vietnam Red Data Book (2007). </p>

The Mediterranean specimens of the genus Microporella collected from shallow water habitats during several surveys and cruises undertaken mostly off the Italian coast are revised. As a result of the disentanglement of the M. ciliata complex and the examination of new material, three new species, M. bicollarissp. nov., M. ichnusaesp. nov., and M. pachyspinasp. nov., are described from submarine caves or associated with seagrasses and algae. An additional species Microporella sp. A, distinct by its finely reticulate ascopore, is described but left in open nomenclature owing to the limitations of a single infertile fragment. After examination of all available material, based on their identical zooidal morphology, the genus Diporula is regarded as junior synonym of Microporella and the combination Microporella verrucosa is resurrected as first suggested by Neviani in 1896. Fenestrulina joannae is also reassigned to Microporella. The availability of a large number of colonies of the above-mentioned and other species already well known from the area (i.e., M. appendiculata, M. ciliata, and M. modesta), allowed the assessment of their high intraspecific variability as well as the observation, for the first time, of some morphological characters including ancestrulae, early astogeny, and kenozooids. Finally, M. modesta, in spite of M. ciliata as defined by the neotype selected by Kukliński &amp; Taylor in 2008, appears to be the commonest species in the basin.

Three new species of the genus Centromerus from Italy, C. tongiorgii sp. nov., C. hanseni sp. nov., and C. gatoi sp. nov., are described for the first time on the basis of both male and female specimens. Their relationships with other congeneric species, as well as their diagnoses, are discussed using morphological characters. New records of poorly known species of Centromerus from Italy are furthermore reported. Among them, C. desmeti Bosmans, 1986 is reported for the first time for the Italian fauna and for continental Europe.
