Three new species of the genus Kisaura Ross (1956) (Trichoptera: Philopotamidae) from Arunachal Pradesh, India

In this paper three new species of the genus Kisaura from Arunachal Pradesh, northeastern India, are described and illustrated. The newly described species are K. sainii sp. n. (from Lumla), K. dirangensis sp. n. and K. vikrami sp. n. (both from Dirang). With these additions the total number of species in the genus from India now stands at 27.

Three new species are added to the philopotamid fauna of India. The newly described species under the genus Chimarra Stephens include C. kanchenjungaensis sp. nov. and C. golitarensis sp. nov. both from Sikkim and C. kamengensis sp. nov. from Arunachal Pradesh. With these additions the number of species from India now becomes 48. This increase is attributed to the rich diversity of genus Chimarra from Himalayan region based on the male genitalia. These species are distinguishable from each other, as well as from the previously known allied species, by consistent taxonomic features of the inferior appendages, tergite X and the phallic apparatus of males.

Neomuscina Townsend includes 41 species distributed throughout the Nearctic and Neotropical Regions. Although the genus has a large number of species, it has been ignored and its taxonomy is confusing and has many flaws. In this work we analyzed the following species recorded for Brazil: Neomuscina atincta Snyder, N. atincticosta Snyder, N. capalta Snyder, N. currani Snyder, N. douradensis Lopes & Khouri, N. goianensis Lopes & Khouri, N. inflexa (Stein), N. instabilis Snyder, N. mediana Snyder, N. mimosa Lopes & Khouri, N. neosimilis Snyder, N. nigricosta Snyder, N. paramediana Lopes & Khouri, N. pictipennis pictipennis (Bigot), N. ponti Lopes & Khouri, N. sanespra Snyder, N. schadei Snyder, N. similata Snyder, N. stabilis (Stein), N. transporta Snyder, N. vitoriae Lopes & Khouri and N. zosteris (Shannon & Del Ponte). Neomuscina nigricosta and N. transporta are new distribution records for Brazil. Three new species are described: Neomuscina anajeensis sp. nov. from Anagé (Bahia), Neomuscina maculata sp. nov. from Botelhos (Minas Gerais) and Neomuscina snyderi sp. nov. from Mata de São João (Bahia). An identification key based on the morphological characters of both male and female is provided. Species distributions are discussed and updated, and the number of species now recorded for Brazil is 29.

Three species of Lachesilla, in species group rufa, from the Sierra Tarahumara, Chihuahua, Mexico, are here described and illustrated: L. byei n. sp., L. furthi n. sp., and L. raramuri n. sp. Two of them belong in Subgroup IIb of the species group, one showing affinities with L. sommermanae García Aldrete and L. yakima Mockford & García Aldrete, the second one showing affinity with L. salamana García Aldrete. The third species belongs in Subgroup I of the species group, showing affinities with L. aspera García Aldrete and L. chiricahua García Aldrete. The especies here described raise to seven the number of species of Lachesilla in the Sierra Tarahumara.

The caddisfly genus Stactobiella Martynov (Hydroptilidae) is revised for Japan, with revisions of two Far East Asian species, one newly recorded for Japan, and the description of three new species. Both S. tshistjakovi (Arefina & Morse, in Arefina et al. 2002) and S. biramosa Martynov 1929 are redescribed, based on male and female specimens. The three new Japanese species are S. aichi sp. nov., S. amami sp. nov., and S. kumejima sp. nov., bringing to five the number of species of Stactobiella known for Japan.

Genera and species of the tribe Coelidiini from the Indian subcontinent are reviewed. Glaberana Nielson, Webbolidia Nielson and Zhangolidia Nielson are recorded from India for the first time. In 2015, during a floristic expedition in northeastern India, a population of an unusual Zingiber Miller (1754: 525) was found near Durga Mandir, between Bomdilla and Balukpong, in West Kameng District, Arunachal Pradesh. At a first glance the species clearly belongs to section Cryptanthium Horaninow (1862: 27) in having a procumbent peduncle. Detailed studies revealed that it does not match any of the known species of Indian Zingiber, hence it is described here as new. Plants of this population are morphologically similar to Z. bipinianum Roy et al. (2015: 298) and Z. mizoramensis Kumar et al. (2015: 81), but detailed studies of the types and protologues confirm the novelty of this species. We also consulted relevant literature discussing Indian Zingiberaceae, which further confirms that this is a new species (e.g. Bai et al. 2015, Baker 1892, Leong-Škorničková et al. 2015, Kishor & Leong-Škorničková 2013, Kumar et al. 2013, 2015, Mood & Theilade 2002, Roscoe 1828, Sabu 2003, 2006, Sabu et al. 2009, 2013b, Talukdar et al. 2015, Thongam & Konsam 2014, Thongam et al. 2013, Triboun et al. 2014, Tripathi & Singh 2006, Wu & Larsen 2000).

This research presents three new species of carnivorous sponges from the family Cladorhizidae from the Great Australian Bight, South Australia. This research also shows a clear separation within the species currently known as Cladorhiza into those with an arbuscular or tree-like morphology from the Atlantic, to those of differing morphologies and propose three new genera, i.e. Bathytentacular gen. nov., Abyssosdiskos gen. nov. and Nullarbora gen. nov. and the resurrection of an old genus Axoniderma. nov. The three new species described in this paper are Nullarbora heptaxia sp. nov., Abyssocladia oxyasters sp. nov. and Lycopodina hystrix sp. nov. A new species in the family Guitarridae, Guitarra davidconryi sp. nov., a family closely related to the carnivorous sponges is also described in this paper. These new species are the first recorded carnivorous species from South Australia and increase the number of species recorded from around Australia to 25.

Caccothryptus Sharp, 1902 is a genus of Limnichidae with a mainly Oriental distribution, with only some species at the fringes of the Palaearctic (Hernando & Ribera 2014, 2016). The genus was recently revised by Hernando & Ribera (2014), which described 14 new species and divided the by then 20 species in five species groups, the compactus, rouyeri, testudo, jaechi and zetteli groups. Subsequently, Yoshitomi (2015) described four additional species in the C. testudo group, rising the total number of species to 24. In this paper we describe three additional species in the testudo and compactus groups, among them the so far westernmost species of the genus, from Uttarakhand (India).
