With the advent of the information age, multimedia technology and Internet technology have shown diverse characteristics. Our lifestyle has undergone fundamental changes in almost every aspect: network-based computers are used in almost every aspect of social daily life. It has become a means of household information exchange; the number of web-based distance education learners exceeds traditional face-to-face teaching. Therefore, processing power is very important for clever computers to search, analyze, synthesize and exchange information online. In addition to reading and writing, this ability is seen as a new electronic literacy. Those who lack it will be considered illiterate in the near future. Since English has gained the status of a global language, about 85% of the world's electronically stored information is in English, how to inject English learners into electronic culture to ensure the survival of every citizen. The digital age has become the basic task of every educator, especially those who teach English. This paper uses questionnaires and interviews to investigate and analyze the adaptability of college students' English autonomous learning from three aspects: learning concept, learning environment and learning style. The survey results show that students are relatively uncomfortable with English autonomous learning in the multimedia network environment, especially for the online learning environment. On this basis, this paper proposes suggestions for improvement of the current teaching model, in order to help college students to carry out independent learning better.

Since the 21st century, the cultivation and improvement of college students' English autonomous learning ability have become an important symbol of deepening the reform of College English teaching. The reform of teaching model is the critical to it. With the help of the self-constructed flipped classroom teaching model, this paper designs the corresponding teaching process, aiming at investigating the three dimensions of self-management learning ability, self-learning psychology and self-learning behavior of non-English majors. After the investigation and experiment on the control class and the experimental class for the whole semester, the experimental results show that the self-regulated learning model of College English based on the flipped classroom can greatly improve the comprehensive English level of College students, and the flipped classroom teaching model of College English can effectively improve the students' self-management learning ability, stimulate students 'motivation of autonomous learning and activate students' autonomous learning behavior. Thus, it opens up a new path for the cultivation of College Students 'autonomous learning ability.

With the rapid development of information technology, flipped classroom as a new type of mixed teaching mode relying on computer technology has changed the traditional teaching mode and formed a teaching process of “learning first and teaching later,” and it has been used in many fields of teaching. Flipped classroom reverses the sequence of traditional teaching knowledge transfer and knowledge internalization and improves students’ autonomy. However, it is still in the exploratory stage of the specific impact of the flipped classroom teaching model on college students’ English autonomous learning ability. Therefore, this article proposes a novel college English flipped classroom teaching model based on big data and deep neural networks. The study has selected a total of 230 students in two classes of the second-year English major of a university as the research objects. Data are utilized to investigate the changes of the two groups of students’ English autonomous learning ability and English academic performance, to explore the specific changes of college students’ English autonomous learning ability and its influencing factors through interviews, and to predict and effectively analyze the weight of influencing factors through the deep neural network. This research enriches the theoretical research results of college students’ English autonomous learning ability under the flipped classroom teaching model, provides reference for the cultivation of college students’ English autonomous learning ability, and has certain reference significance for the optimization of the flipped classroom teaching model. The proposed research will support researchers and practitioners at college and university level.

The course of Sports Scientific Research Methods is mainly designed to help students acquire knowledge on sports scientific research methods in order to lay a good foundation for their engaging in sports scientific research in future. Considering the current teaching system which is not time-efficient, “Internet+”-based micro-course was developed to focus on Precision Teaching model of the Sports Scientific Research Methods. To conduct this study, students’ overall learning process data, classroom teaching process data and teaching affair administration data were collected firstly. Individual-oriented Precision Teaching model was designed by integrating a series of new educational ideas and analysis methods such as Precision Teaching, big data analysis and adaptive learning technology under the context of digital learning. The teaching model was set with Precision Teaching function modules based on “Internet+” technology in the form of micro-course for teachers and students respectively. Lastly, student learning attribute analysis system was built to focus on student attributes for evaluating student learning ability, learning state and task independence. Teaching practice proves that the model is helpful to promote students’ learning interest largely and has enriched the teaching model of the Sports Scientific Research Methods.

Based on the researches of listening strategies at home and abroad, this study tries to explore the use of listening strategy by Chinese non-English major college students under the internet autonomous learning environment. The results from the questionnaires and interviews of listening strategies used by different level students have some implications for teachers. Listening strategies play an important role in the process of listening comprehension and skillful listeners tend to use all the listening strategies more frequently than the unskillful ones in their listening activities. So it is necessary for college English teachers to conduct strategy training in students’ listening comprehension especially in this new learning environment.

This chapter presents an account of the ongoing development of a vocabulary learning resource, VocPAL (Vocabulary: Progressive Autonomous Learning), for French learners of English in a university context. The chapter describes the background to the resource, its theoretical underpinnings, and its presentation features. These include pictures, sound, an association test, and context sentences forming a story. A questionnaire was administered to college students (N = 115) to assess reactions to VocPAL in an online learning environment. Further insights were gained from interviews with users of the resource. Both questionnaire and interview data suggest that, while the resource is judged favourably overall, improvements can be made to make the story more appealing and to add more interactivity. Results are discussed in terms of future development options, limitations to the study, and some broader issues regarding computer-assisted vocabulary learning.

This paper attempts to solve the following problems of traditional Internet Eng-lish learning websites: the emphasis on the teaching process over the timely feed-back of the students, the bottleneck on the autonomous learning ability of the stu-dents, and the delay in the update of relevant resources. For this purpose, the au-thor established a web-based English autonomous learning platform. Specifically, the conceptual model was analysed by the object-oriented technology, the brows-er/server (B/S) architecture was set up to send data to the ADO.NET-based backend database, and displayed as webpages. The research results show that the design and implementation of the proposed system offers a preliminary solution to the lack of collaborative communication in traditional webpage learning, and widens the range of resource sharing. The system is in line with the English learners’ demand for and interests in Internet learning, and arouses the students’ interests and enthusiasm of English learning.
