Abstract Background The care of the emergency department (ED) for a person after a suicide attempt can act as a protector against future suicidal behavior. For this reason, it is essential that the ED ensure an assistance that involves effective interventions in preventing suicidal behaviors. Among suicidal behaviors, it is known that suicide attempt is one of the most lethal risk factors for consummated suicide. In addition, the risk for further attempts is greater in the period from the immediate post-discharge up to 12 months after the last attempt. This makes the ED a key link in the suicide prevention chain. The purpose of this review is to investigate the effects of psychosocial interventions on suicide prevention, when applied in the ED after a suicide attempt. Methods This systematic review protocol was built and registered with the collaboration of a multidisciplinary scientific team. The review will include randomized clinical studies, quasi-experimental trials, and comparative observational studies, all conducted with people (11 years old or more) who have received a psychosocial suicide prevention intervention initiated in the ED after a suicide attempt. The research will be conducted across databases such as Cochrane Library, PubMed, EMBASE, PsycINFO, and DARE. The repetition of a suicide attempt and death by suicide as primary outcomes will be analyzed. The eligibility of the studies and data extraction will be carried out by matched and blind researchers. The risk of bias will be addressed using appropriate instruments. The analyses and synthesis of the results will be both qualitative and quantitative. Discussion From a public health point of view, suicide is in itself a public health problem and requires appropriate interventions at different levels of care in order to be prevented. Taking into account that a high percentage of people who died by suicide sought the ED for suicide attempt in the year before their death, the ED is a clinical context with a privileged potential to implement these interventions. Presently, several clinical studies seek to validate interventions to be adopted regarding the prevention of suicidal behavior. Current evidence indicates that different interventions must be strategically combined to reduce suicide attempts and their mortality. Back pain is a public health problem that affects adolescents and adults worldwide. However, studies on back pain present inconsistent findings in part due to the use of different instruments, especially for athletes. Therefore, the objective of this systematic review protocol was to map the existing evidence on such tools. The systematic review will be conducted according to PRISMA guidelines. Five electronic databases, Embase, MEDLINE, SPORTDiscus, CINAHL, and Scopus will be searched. This review includes studies that investigated prevalence, incidence, and other variables. Titles and abstracts will be selected. Two independent reviewers will read the articles carefully and discrepancies, if any, will be dealt with by a third reviewer. All steps will be completed with Rayyan for systematic reviews and the methodological quality will be analyzed with a COSMIN checklist. Discussion: This systematic review will gather evidence on tools that assess back pain in athletes. The findings may indicate the most appropriate tools for assessing back pain. They will contribute to better reliability, safe measurements, and help to standardize a comparison tool between different studies. They will also assist in the development of specific tools for athletes. Registration: This review was submitted and registered under CRD42020201299 in PROSPERO.

Abstract Background: Aging is a process of changes dictated by the concurrent action of the biopsychosocial determinants. Population aging is a phenomenon that occurs on a global scale in heterogeneous ways, representing the growth of elderly at a greater rate than the number of newborn. Previous empirical evidence suggests that population aging has become a concern for several sectors of society. Among these, the social security policies that play a fundamental role in supporting the elderly. Given the rise of research on aging and its importance in the various health and social outcomes, it is necessary to initiate processes of compilation and synthesis of this evidence to facilitate the understanding of the importance of this variable into social security policies for public health, especially, for the elderly's health. Methods: The included studies will be qualitative and quantitative original research articles. This systematic review protocol will be conducted following the Cochrane Manual and will follow the statement of PRISMA-P. Searches will run from April 2021 to July 2021, and will be carried out from the following electronic databases: Embase, Web of Science, Scopus, PubMed Central, CINAHL, ASSIA and APA PsycNet. Two reviewers will obtain the eligible articles, published from 1979 to 2020, to assess the quality of each study and extract the data. A narrative and qualitative synthesis will be used to analyze the primary outcomes. If data are pertinent for quantitative analysis, a meta-analytic approach will be held.Discussion: The findings of this review will contribute to a better understanding of the impact of aging in social security policies and will help to establish causality in terms of the effects of this public policy on elderly’s health and their access to the healthcare system. This information can be used to identify effective interventions that could be implemented to improve the management of public health and social security policies at old age.Ethics and dissemination: The approval of an ethics committee is not required for a systematic review protocol. The results will be will be published in a peer-reviewed social or health science journal. Systematic Review Registration: PROSPERO CRD42021225820

Abstract Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) is a major global concern, negatively impacting public health outcomes (1-5), patient safety (3,6-8) and poses enormous burden on economic development and security (8-16). Internationally, data suggests, at any given time, approximately one-third of the hospitalized patients and over two-thirds of critically ill patients are prescribed antimicrobials and more than half of these prescribed antimicrobials are deemed inappropriate (5,17,18).

Schizophrenia spectrum disorders are chronic and debilitating mental illnesses characterised by both cognitive impairments and sleep deficits. In this systematic review protocol, we outline an approach to examine the available literature investigating the relationship between sleep and cognition in individuals with schizophrenia spectrum disorder.
