AbstractIn the Internet of Vehicles (IoV), with the increasing demand for intelligent technologies such as driverless driving, more and more in-vehicle applications have been put into autonomous driving. For the computationally intensive task, the vehicle self-organizing network uses other high-performance nodes in the vehicle driving environment to hand over tasks to these nodes for execution. In this way, the computational load of the cloud alleviated. However, due to the unreliability of the communication link and the dynamic changes of the vehicle environment, lengthy task completion time may lead to the increase of task failure rate. Although the flooding algorithm can improve the success rate of task completion, the offloading expend will be large. Aiming at this problem, we design the partial flooding algorithm, which is a comprehensive evaluation method based on system reliability in the vehicle computing environment without infrastructure. Using V2V link to select some nodes with better performance for partial flooding offloading to reduce the task complete time, improve system reliability and cut down the impact of vehicle mobility on offloading. The results show that the proposed offloading strategy can not only improve the utilization of computing resources, but also promote the offloading performance of the system.

Micro-environments of shoes chamber after strenuous exercise were simulated by using self-made experimental device. Under the different conditions of temperature and humidity, moisture absorption, water transmissibility, water retention and moisture liberation of stitch-bonded fabrics with different content of hemp was tested. According to multiple properties of the moisture-absorption and quick-drying, tested performance of five aspects were used to build the evaluation system about it. TOP-SIS (Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) and coefficient of variation method can calculate the degree of closeness of actual values and ideal values so as to establish a comprehensive evaluation method. The results show that when content of hemp is nearly 40%, shoe’s lining of stitch-bonded materials can obtain high performance, which can meet the requirement for shoe’s lining.

Currently, the evaluation methods of importance measures such as structure importance measure, criticality reliability importance and B-reliability importance, have some shortcomings that the evaluation results are not comprehensive enough and the scope of usage. In order to accurately evaluate the importance measures of equipment, and to reflect the impact of the equipment on the communication network, a comprehensive evaluation method of importance measure is put forward. According to the influence of inherent structure of system and service reliability, the importance measure of equipment is calculated. By the coefficient modification, it can accurately evaluate comprehensive evaluation of electric power communication equipment based on reliability importance measures. Example result verifies the feasibility and validity of the comprehensive evaluation method.

Earth System Models (ESM) got much more demanding over the last years. Modelled processes got more complex and more and more processes are considered in models. In addition resolutions of the models got higher to improve weather and climate forecasts. This requires faster high performance computers (HPC) and better I/O performance.

Within our Pilot Lab Exascale Earth System Modelling (PL-EESM) we do performance analysis of the ESM EMAC using a standard Lustre file system for output and compare it to the performance using a parallel ad-hoc overlay file system. We will show the impact for two scenarios: one for todays standard amount of output and one with artificial heavy output simulating future ESMs.

An ad-hoc file system is a private parallel file system which is created on-demand for an HPC job using the node-local storage devices, in our case solid-state-disks (SSD). It only exists during the runtime of the job. Therefore output data have to be moved to a permanent file system before the job has finished. Quasi in-situ data analysis and post-processing allows to gain performance as it might result in a decreased amount of data which you have to store - saving disk space and time during the transfer of data to permanent storage. We will show first tests for quasi in-situ post-processing.

Climate change has become one of the major threats to global security. On the impact of climate change on national vulnerability, the researchers firstly select relevant factors and data and analyze the principal components to determine the weight of climate change on vulnerability so as to analyze the impact of climate change on national vulnerability. Secondly, based on the influencing factors, we obtain the national vulnerability score through the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, delineate the impact scope according to the score, and predict climate change by means of regression analysis and time series analysis. Finally, according to the characteristics of cities and continents, the model is revised, a PSR model and a cluster analysis model are established, and the prediction accuracy is improved.

This paper analyzed the impact of the mountain highway on road domain ecosystems, and defined the concept and content of the road domain ecosystem ecological integration and its relationship with ecosystem health. Based on PSR framework, the ecological integrated measurement model was built. By constructing various subsystems indicators, the road domain ecosystem ecological integration was quantified by using the comprehensive evaluation method. On this basis, this paper divided the ecological integration into four grades: poor, moderate, good and excellent. It provided a theoretical basis for the ecological protection and restoration of the mountain highway construction.

Earth System Models (ESM) got much more demanding over the last years. Modelled processes got more complex and more and more processes are considered in models. In addition resolutions of the models got higher to improve accuracy of predictions. This requires faster high performance computers (HPC) and better I/O performance. One way to improve I/O performance is to use faster file systems. Last year we showed the impact of the ad-hoc file system on the performance of the ESM EMAC. An ad-hoc file system is a private parallel file system which is created on-demand for an HPC job using the node-local storage devices, in our case solid-state-disks (SSD). It only exists during the runtime of the job. Therefore output data have to be moved to a permanent file system before the job has finished. Performance improvements are due to the use of SSDs in case of small chunks of I/O or a high amount of I/O operations per second. Another reason for a performace boost is because the running job can exclusively access the file system. To get a better overview in which cases ESMs benefit from using ad-hoc file systems we repeated our performance tests with further ESMs with different I/O strategies. In total we now analyzed EMAC (parallel netcdf), ICON2.5 (netcdf with asynchronous I/O), ICON2.6 (netcdf with Climate Data Interface (CDI) library) and OpenGeoSys (parallel VTU).

Abstract Boundless researchers have made efforts to assess the impact of Microfinance on poverty reduction both positively and negatively, but the perception of borrowers about the effectiveness of Microfinance has not been yet found. This study adopts the Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation Method (FCEM) in conjunction with the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) to evaluate the level of satisfaction of borrowers with the products and services of microfinance institutions at different criterion levels. The goal is to assess the level of satisfaction for each criterion level under the degree of satisfaction of the borrower about the product and services provided by Microfinance Institution (MFI). Findings show that the claim of MFI was false because study evidence makes it clear that borrowers are not satisfied with the product and services of MFI. In addition to the literature, this study also highlighted the weakness of the MFI product and services. Thus, both the government and the MFIs can improve their performance and change their policies for the welfare of the borrowers.
