Abstract Boundless researchers have made efforts to assess the impact of Microfinance on poverty reduction both positively and negatively, but the perception of borrowers about the effectiveness of Microfinance has not been yet found. This study adopts the Fuzzy Comprehensive Evaluation Method (FCEM) in conjunction with the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) to evaluate the level of satisfaction of borrowers with the products and services of microfinance institutions at different criterion levels. The goal is to assess the level of satisfaction for each criterion level under the degree of satisfaction of the borrower about the product and services provided by Microfinance Institution (MFI). Findings show that the claim of MFI was false because study evidence makes it clear that borrowers are not satisfied with the product and services of MFI. In addition to the literature, this study also highlighted the weakness of the MFI product and services. Thus, both the government and the MFIs can improve their performance and change their policies for the welfare of the borrowers.

In this article, we adopt an improved double-weighted fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to investigate the air condition of Hefei City from July 2016 to July 2021. We focus on the impact of the toxicity index, especially the impact of carbon monoxide, which is also considered in some other kinds of quality evaluation, such as water classification. Firstly, we found that with the increasing awareness of environmental protection and with the attention of the government to the quality of air in recent years, the air conditions have become better (the grades become lower). Secondly, the value of the factors, PM2.5, PM10, SO2, CO, NO2, and O3 periodically fluctuate from year to year; and the periodicity of O3 is reversed with the other factors. Finally, the monthly average analysis shows that the overall air quality is good; all the grades are I-II, except for December 2017 which has a grade III. Furthermore, the air quality in the winter (especially in December and January) is not always good.

Abstract The backbone of the economy of a developing country like the Philippines is its small and medium enterprises relying on soft loans provided by microfinance institutions. To assess the level of satisfaction of microfinance borrowers on the services of microfinance institution and their services as well as its impact to the business, personal and financial status are necessary for the continued operation of this industry. The objective of this study is to measure the customer level of satisfaction of the services of a microfinance institution in the Philippines and determine its impacts on the customers’ small scale business. The study used a mixed of qualitative and quantitative research methods to gather data and analyze them. The study found that the micro finance institution is giving its borrowers quality services as manifested by a very satisfied rating to the four services provided. It was also described that the institution is positively bringing impact on its borrowers’ business, personal & financial status as manifested by a high and very high impact on the two variables. The study finally revealed that the profile of the customers has significant relationship with the level of satisfaction and impact to business of its borrowers while some areas of services have to be revisited to prevent customer dissatisfaction as there are signs showing low level of satisfaction.

Assessing social insurance fund safety objectively is useful to make effective risk management and control, so as to lower the economic loss. The fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method based analytical hierarchy process(AHP) is adopted to evaluate the social insurance fund safety. And social insurance fund safety evaluation index system is established according to the characteristics of the social insurance fund safety and the development tendency of social insurance .Then AHP method is applied to determine the more reasonable index weight and the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model is used to evaluate social insurance fund safety of three cities. Finally, some improvement suggestions are proposed. The results show that the index is reasonable and quantitative and the method can help improve the safety of the social insurance fund as well as provide decision-making for the government.

Greenways are an important component of the ecological network of urban green spaces and contribute to ensuring a complete and continuous ecosystem. Once a city’s greenways have been built, their future success relies heavily on visitors’ intuitive feelings and satisfaction. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate visitor satisfaction with greenways. Using Greenway No. 1 in Shanghai’s Minhang District as an example, we in this article constructed an index system to evaluate visitor satisfaction with the greenway based on a fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method. The visitors’ demographic and behavioral characteristics and their comprehensive reviews of Greenway No. 1 were analyzed. The results showed that the gender ratio among visitors to Greenway No. 1 was relatively balanced. Most visitors were retired and elderly, and most were from nearby areas. The visitors used the greenway frequently, and the travel time for most was less than ten minutes. The overall visitor satisfaction with the greenway reached the “satisfied” level, and most indices reached the basic level of satisfaction. However, certain basic service facilities were found to be inadequate. The results provide suggestions and references for the construction of greenways in Shanghai and surrounding provinces and cities.

Climate change has become one of the major threats to global security. On the impact of climate change on national vulnerability, the researchers firstly select relevant factors and data and analyze the principal components to determine the weight of climate change on vulnerability so as to analyze the impact of climate change on national vulnerability. Secondly, based on the influencing factors, we obtain the national vulnerability score through the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, delineate the impact scope according to the score, and predict climate change by means of regression analysis and time series analysis. Finally, according to the characteristics of cities and continents, the model is revised, a PSR model and a cluster analysis model are established, and the prediction accuracy is improved.

Many studies focus on microfinance institutions (MFIs) profitability, client retention, and default rate. Yet, they do not pay much attention to the way in which microfinance (MF) can improve the living conditions of the poor and satisfy their needs. This article presents a new way to assess the performance of MF lending process based on analytic hierarchy process (AHP)-fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method. The aim is to suggest some solutions to improve the performance of processes that create and support MF products and services. Not only should this study contribute to the research literature but it can also help the MFIs to control the risk derived from their operations and increase client satisfaction. Thus, MFIs can enhance their performance and their role in reducing poverty.

urban water resources value is a very complex system, it is composed of three main elements; nature, economy and society. In this paper, taken a city as an example, selecting water quality, water resources amount, density of population and national income as the evaluating elements, by useing fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, the value of water resoueces of this city has been carried out. The results shows that water resources prices in this city is much higher than the present average water price. Therefore, it is necessary for the government to take mearsures to raise water use efficiency, strengthen environmemtal protection, so as to raise water resources value.

This article deals with the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on the performance of a non-profit microfinance institution operating in the Nilgiris and Perambalur districts of Tamil Nadu in India. The primary focus of the paper is on the microfinance institute’s financial performance in terms of outreach and portfolio quality before and after the coronavirus outbreak. The most worrisome factors that were encountered in due course of the study include a decline in loan portfolio and clientele, and an increasing trend in portfolio at risk (PAR) percentage due to a surge in client overdues, outstanding loan amount and rise in number of delinquent clients. These negative impacts on performance were further investigated by establishing a connection to the clients’ repayment ability. A survey was conducted among the women clients of the microfinance institution by enlisting 120 respondents, 60 from each district to identify the various constraints faced by them in loan repayment as a result of the government-imposed lockdown that affected their livelihood and curbed their source of income. Therefore, an attempt has been made to bring out the ground level realities that played an important role in disrupting the normal functioning of the microfinance institution during the pandemic outbreak. This will prove useful in setting guidelines for future crises of like nature to enable microfinance institutions to keep functioning efficiently without any drastic changes to their performance.
