Objective - The study purposes three objectives, which is to recognize the level of employees' commitment (EC) among employees, to identify the level of IWE application among employees, and to investigate the relationship between EC and IWE. Methodology/Technique - The data was collected through a structured questionnaire from employees working at selected financial firms in Kuala Lumpur and has been statistically analysed using SPSS. Findings - The results showed that the levels of employees' commitment and IWE among employees are high, however the Pearson correlation test shows there is no significant relationship between EC and IWE. Hence, it is recommended for future research to explore a different angle of the management dimension to be tested with IWE and expand the context into a multidisciplinary field. Novelty - This research helps to broaden the employees' knowledge about the work ethics in Islamic perspectives and apply it in their organization. An employee who is willing to voluntarily help fellow co-workers to do work outside the assigned job description and the assistance provided is not included in the performance assessment, can be defined as organizational citizenship behavior (OCB). Podsakoff et.al (2000) states that OCB can influence organizational effectiveness because it can help improve co-workers productivity, increase managerial productivity and streamline the use of organizational resources for productive purposes. This research was conducted to identify the effect of Islamic work ethics, affective commitment and organizational identity on OCB. The data were collected from 110 employees at the Muhammadiyah Islamic Hospital of Kendal and the Muhammadiyah Darul Istiqomah Hospital of Kendal. The data were later analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using the Analysis of Moment Structure (AMOS 24) software. The result indicates that affective commitment and organizational identity have a significant effect on OCB while Islamic work ethics have no significant effect on OCB. The researcher hopes that this research can be developed in future research by adding other variables related to OCB that may have a greater influence on OCB.

Islamic work ethics which is an ethical moral conduct of individual will not only create emotional bond between workers and organization but towards society and most significantly to Allah. Besides, it will also contribute to more commitment leading to higher performance and loyalty to the institution. In Nigerian setting, Islamic work ethics is assumed to be influenced by the Islamic Financial Institutions (IFIs) who become the apparatus through which employee practice of IWEs is assessed. Presently, there are 16 IFIs who perform their role to enhance their performance through ethical conduct of their employees. Even though each of these IFIs perform their role to ensure the best ethical conduct was practice, there are still issues and challenges faced that lead to the non-adoption of IWEs. Therefore, the purpose of this paper is to disclose the issues and challenges faced that lead to role the non-adoption of IWEs by IFIs in Nigeria. A qualitative method is employed in this study using secondary data as well as semi-structured interview on the selected IFIs in the Northern part of Nigeria as a case study. The findings of the study revealed that there are issues and challenges that contribute to the non-adoption of IWEs such as lack of Islamic finance background of most of the practitioners, absence of orientation program and weak supervisory framework. The findings of this study are hoped to contribute to the existing literature on IWEs and its proper practice for enhanced performance of IFIs. Finally, the study’s conclusion as well as the direction for future research are provided and discussed.

<p><em>This study aims to determine the effect of Organizational Culture, Work Ethics, Auditor Independence, Integrity Auditor and Understanding of Good Governance on Auditor Performance. The sample used in this study consists of 121 auditors, internal auditors and external auditors are included in Jakarta. Samples were randomly distributed using a purposive sampling method. The method used in this study is a multiple linear regression. This Study show that the results of Auditor Independence can affect auditor performance significantly, because of the significant level of the t test was under 0.05. while the other independent variables, such as Cultural Organization, Work Ethics, Integrity Auditor and understanding of Good Governance, together with the auditor independence joinly affect auditor performance, because the level of the F test is significant in under 0.05. For future research, it is advisable to further expand the sample to be used in research, as well as adding variables that need to be researched and also accompany the respondents in the questionnaire in order to obtain a thorough and accurate answer.</em></p><p><em> </em></p>

This study explores the relationships between Islamic Work Ethics (IWE), workaholism (WA) and positive and negative Organizational Behaviors (OBs) amongst Engineering Students. Most of the researchers have studied OBs and ethics among faculty or administrative staff in universities. Study of these behaviors among students is a novel area of research. This study proposes an integrated framework of Islamic Work Ethics (IWE), Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB), Constructive and Destructive Deviant Behaviors, and workaholism (WA) with the productivity (CGPA) of engineering students and empirically investigates the relationship between productivity, behaviors and ethics and moderating effect of IWE on the relationship of OCB and productivity of engineering students using Preacher and Hayes Technique. This research makes a number of significant contributions: (1) organizational behaviors are explored among engineering students which were previously studied among faculty members/employees only (2) a model of behaviors, ethics, WA and productivity is prepared using hierarchical regression which was not available in literature. The findings and implications are discussed along with future research guidelines. The findings here are important for practitioners and scholars for better understanding of relationship of OBs, WA and ethics with the productivity of engineering students in order to enhance their productivity through promotion of desired behaviors amongst them.

The objective of this study was to examine the impact of envy on interpersonal conflict, through the mechanism of schadenfreude and the moderating effect of work ethics, among nurses in Pakistan. Convenient sampling technique was used in order to draw the sample. Data were collected from 200 employed nurses who had been working at different levels in Pakistani hospitals. Regression analysis was run in order to test the hypotheses. Study findings suggested that Envy is positively associated with interpersonal conflict, while schadenfreude partially mediates this relationship. In addition, work ethics moderates the association such that it weakens the positive relationship between schadenfreude and interpersonal conflict. The paper concludes by discussing the limitations as well as future research directions.

The purpose of this study is to provide an interpretation of library studyresult on the relationship between Islamic Work Ethics (IWE) in buildingwork life balance (WLB) to achieve job satisfaction in Islam. The methodused is library study by tracing related topics. Data comes from primarysources in the form of articles that are relevant to topics. Meanwhile,data analysis used interpretive. The results show that there is an allegedlogical relationship between IWE, WLB and job satisfaction in Islam.Application of IWE can build a balance between work and life outsideof work. Furthermore, someone who is able to build this balance can feeljob satisfaction, in terms of Islamic job satisfaction. The implication ofthis research, there is an initial assumption of a link between IWE andWLB and job satisfaction in Islam. The future research agenda can testempirically the relationship between these variables by incorporating itinto an empirical research model.

Parasites are linked to the decline of some bee populations; thus, understanding defense mechanisms has important implications for bee health. Recent advances have improved our understanding of factors mediating bee health ranging from molecular to landscape scales, but often as disparate literatures. Here, we bring together these fields and summarize our current understanding of bee defense mechanisms including immunity, immunization, and transgenerational immune priming in social and solitary species. Additionally, the characterization of microbial diversity and function in some bee taxa has shed light on the importance of microbes for bee health, but we lack information that links microbial communities to parasite infection in most bee species. Studies are beginning to identify how bee defense mechanisms are affected by stressors such as poor-quality diets and pesticides, but further research on this topic is needed. We discuss how integrating research on host traits, microbial partners, and nutrition, as well as improving our knowledge base on wild and semi-social bees, will help inform future research, conservation efforts, and management.
