It is important to know the mechanical and micromechanical characteristics of conventional dental implants in order to design and develop novel dental implants and surface treatments that ensure a good biomechanical stability and almost fully replace the biological tissue. A successful integration of the implant depends on its chemical, mechanical and physical properties and the quality of the bone tissue. Considering these facts, we developed two novel variants of dental implant stems with an anti-rotational geometrical solution. On these variants, we have then performed numerical analyses of static strength. Outcomes of simulations vary depending on the type of the implant and load mode.

Abstrak Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang penentuan sifat mekanis dan fisis batu bata dengan penambahan tempurung kelapa asal alor. Penenlitian ini bertujuan mengetahui kualitas batu bata yang memenuhi standar kelayakan sebagai bahan konstruksi dengan penambahan arang tempurung kelapa aal alor dengan presentasi 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% terhadap tanah liat (lempung). Batu bata dicetak dengan prosedur pemadatan, pengringn dan pembakaran. Setelah prosedur pencetakkan selesai kemudian di lanjutkan dengan pengujian sefat mekanis dan sifat fisis, yaitu uji kuat tekan (compression strength), densitas (density), porositas (porosity) hasil  kuat tekan batu bata didapatkan berdasarkan pengujian: a) uji kuat tekan, batu bata tanpa penambahan (0%) : 4,94 meemenuhi standar kuat tekan kelas 50 (SNI 15-2094-2000), b) uji porositas, batu bata 0% dan 5% : 3,82% dan 17,93% memenuhi standar porositas dengan batas maksimum 20% (SNI 15-2094-2000) dan uji densitas, batu bata tidak ada yang memenuhi standar (SII 0021-1978) Kata kunci: sifat mekanis, sifat fisis, tempurung kelapa, densitas, porositas, kuat tekan Abstract A research had been conducted to determine physical and mechanical properties of the bricks with the addition coconut shell charcoal from alor. This research aims at the quality of the bricks to meet the standars of eligibility as a contruction material. The addition of coconut shell charcoal is variate with the presentage 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% to the clay mass. The brick being printed with procedure compaction, drying, and baking. After the printing procedure is done then next is testing the mechanical and physical properties, that is compression strength test, density test, and porosity test. The brick quality result is obtained based on the test: a) compression strength test, the brick without addition (0%) : 4,94  (SNI 15-2094-2000) is comply with the standard compression strength the class 50 , b) porosity test, the brick 0% and 5% (3,82% and 17,93%) meet the standard with the maximum limit 20% ( SNI 15-2094-2000)  , and c) density test, every bricks does not meet the standard (SII 0021- 1978). Abstract Enzymatic bleaching appears to be a promising approach for clean bleaching processes and the reduction of bleaching chemical consumption. In this work, the quality of the filtrates and the pulps has been characterized after enzymatic prebleaching stages of eucalyptus kraft pulp. Four different conditions with xylanase were investigated. Following each prebleaching stage, the properties of the pulp [kappa number, brightness, content of hexenuronic acid (HexA), xylan removal, and pulp yield lost], and of the resulting effluents (chemical oxygen demand (COD), biochemical oxygen demand (BOD), color, and conductivity) were determined. In addition, a complete bleaching sequence was performed to characterize the pulp quality at the end of the sequence. Finally, the pulp was refined in a PFI mill, and the mechanical and physical properties of the resulting paper were determined. The best pulp quality was achieved at pH 7, at which a lower kappa number, higher pulp brightness, and smaller amount of HexA were observed. Under this condition, however, a larger yield loss and a higher effluent COD load had to be accepted. After the complete bleaching sequence, the enzymatic treatments yielded pulps with higher brightness and viscosity as well as with a lower kappa number. The enzymatic treatments resulted in small changes in the mechanical and physical properties of the paper handsheets produced.

Soil defilement with "raw petroleum" is a standout amongst the most across the board and genuine ecological issues going up against both the industrialized and oil country like Iraq. Along these lines, the impact of "raw petroleum" on soil contamination is one of most critical subjects that review these days. The present examination expects to research "unrefined oil"effectson the mechanical and physical properties of clayey soils. The dirt examples were acquired from Al-Doura area in Baghdad city and arranged by the "Brought together Soil Grouping Framework (USCS)" as silty mud of low pliancy (CL). Research center tests were done on contaminated and unpolluted soil tests with same thickness. The dirtied tests are set up by blending the dirts with various percent of "raw petroleum", and these percent are5%, 10% and 15% by dry weight. The exploration results demonstrate a reduction in the quality of the dirt, explicit gravity, greatest dry thickness and ideal dampness content. Then again, the outcomes showed an expansion in Atterberg cutoff points and compressibility of the dirt. The outcomes demonstrated additionally an impressive increment in the estimation of combination parameters such ascoefficient of volume compressibility, pressure file and lessening in the coefficient of solidification and shear quality.

Timber Acacia mangium (Acacia mangium, Willd) for Furniture. The study aims to determine the mechanical and physical properties and the decorative value (color and fiber) wood of acacia mangium with using finishing materials. This type of finishing material used is ultran lasur natural dof ,ultran lasur classic teak, aqua politur clear dof, aqua politur akasia dan aqua politur cherry. After finishing the wood is stored for 3 months. Test parameters were observed, namely, physical and mechanical properties of wood, adhesion of finishing materials, color and appearance of the fiber, and timber dimensions expansion. The results showed that the mechanical physical properties of acacia wood qualified SNI. 01-0608-89 about the physical and mechanical properties of wood for furniture, air dry the moisture content from 13.78 to 14.89%, flexural strength from 509.25 to 680.50 kg/cm2, and compressive strength parallel to fiber 342.1 - 412.9 kg/cm2. Finishing the treatment process using five types of finishing materials can increase the decorative value (color and fiber) wood. Before finishing the process of acacia mangium wood has the appearance of colors and fibers and less attractive (scale scores 2-3), after finishing acacia wood fibers have the appearance of colors and interesting and very interesting (scale 4-5).Keywords: mangium wood, mechanical properties, decorative value, finishing, furniture.

Soybean (Glycine max (L) Merr) is needed as an alternative diversification in order to increase protein consumption. Soybean can be processed into variety of foods and drinks. The most popular drink from soybean is soya milk which is made from soybean extract yielded from the addition of water. The amount of water added determine the quality of soya milk due to its effect on the chemical and physical properties of soya milk. This research was intended to find out the proper ratio of soybean and water in the processing of soya milk to yield the best quality. A completely randomized design was used with eight treatments of soybean and water ratio as follows, ratio of 1 : 6, ratio of 1 : 8, ratio of 1 : 10, ratio of 1 : 12, ratio of 1 : 14, ratio of 1 : 16, ratio of 1 : 18 and ratio of 1 : 20. Result showed the soybean and water ratio 1 : 10 in the processing of soya milk yielded milk having good quality according to its chemical with protein content of 2.53%, fat of 1.20%, sugar total of 1.60%, pH of 7.1, and organoleptic characteristies of both somewhat sweet taste and viscous texture.
