The purpose of this study was to develop and validate a new learning environments instrument designed to aid investigators and practitioners in measuring and researching the pupils’ behaviour intention to use e-book technology. The use of e-book technology in schools is now ubiquitous, but the effectiveness on the learning environment has mixed results. This study intends to investigate factors affecting pupils’ behavioural intentions to use the e-book technology. Integrating Child Computer Interaction (CCI) factors such as usability and interface with the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) factors such as Perceived Enjoyment (PE),  Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU), Perceived Usefulness (PU) and Behaviour Intention (BI). Using e-book technology acceptance survey was developed, field-tested with 40 pupils from school aged 10-17 years  and then validated. The proposed questionnaire has 33 items allocated to six scales: (1) Usability; (2) interface; (3) Perceived Enjoyment; (4) Perceived Ease of Use; (5) Perceived Usefulness and (6) Behaviour Intention. The proposed questionnaire was administered to pupils in the schools. Six experts in the field of computer science, information system and technology to justify it, especially in relation to the elements of each concept, assessed content validity or face validity of the questionnaire. Then alpha reliability, convergent validity and discernment validity have been calculated in this study.   The questionnaire of e-book technology acceptance has strong evaluative and discriminative properties and can be used with confidence to measure the e-book acceptance for pupils.

With the rapid growth of information technology, electronic money has played an important and central role in the e-payment. Development of electronic money is able to create a trend less-cash society, which is a society’s behavior using non- cash transactions by utilizing the simplicity offered through electronic transactions. The purpose of this research is to determine the factors affecting the intention to use electronic money. We designed a questionnaire and used it to survey a simple random sampling of people who use of e-money in DKI Jakarta. The actual samples used for the study are 125 respondents. We analyzed the data using Structured Equation Modeling to evaluate the strength of the hypothesized effects. The result of the analysis showed that perceived ease of use has no significant effect on attitudes towards the use of e-money. Perceived ease of use has a significant effect on the perceived usefulness of e-money. Perceived usefulness has no significant effect on the intention to use e-money. Perceived usefulness has a significant effect on attitudes towards the use of e-money. Attitude has a significant effect on the intention to use e-money. Subjective norm has a significant effect on the intention to use e-money. Perceived behavioral control has no significant effect on the intention to use e-money. The success of unmanned car, an emerging tool of transportation with so many advantages, depends to a large extent on its user acceptability. Potential designers are both the decision makers of driverless car design and the users of driverless cars. This study aims to explore the influencing factors of the potential designers’ intention to use unmanned cars. Based on the theory of Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), this study further expanded the TAM by incorporating perceived trust, perceived enjoyment and self-efficacy, so as to explain and predict potential designers’ intention to use unmanned cars. The questionnaire is determined through theoretical literature, pre-tests, etc., and the Structural Equation Model is used to analyze the data of 202 valid survey samples to investigate the influencing factors of the willingness to use unmanned vehicles. The results show that potential designers’ intention to use unmanned cars is positively affected by perceived trust, perceived enjoyment, perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use, and perceived trust has a positive effect on perceived ease of use, self-efficacy and perceived ease of use also have a positive effect on perceived usefulness. The findings of this study can provide designers and developers of unmanned cars, policy makers and implementers with guidance in the follow-up design, policy formulation and advertising of unmanned cars.

This research examines the factors affecting students' intention to use web-based learning system by assessing the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). Sample was targeted to a public higher learning institution in Federal Territory of Labuan Malaysia, which implemented convenience sampling technique. A total of 204 questionnaire sets were collected and multiple regressions analysis was used in the research to analyze the variables relationships in the theoretical framework proposed. Empirical research confirmed that students' use of web-based learning was positively influenced by attitude towards use, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, social influence, facilitating condition, and anxiety. Results may benefits the education and teaching industry in building web-based learning system effectively. The education and teaching industry should increase the quality their own web-based learning system referred to the results based on the variables in order to increase the user to their web-based learning system besides maximizing profit.

BACKGROUND In the medical industry, the successful completion of many medical practices often relies on information collection and analysis. Government agencies and medical institutions encourage people to use medical information technology (MIT) to manage their conditions and to promote personal health. In 2014, Taiwan established the first electronic personal health record (PHR) platform, My Health Bank (MHB), allowing people to access and manage their PHRs at any time. Facing the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic in 2020, Taiwan has used MIT to effectively prevent the spread of COVID-19 and completed various prevention measures before the outbreak. Using MHB to purchase masks in an efficient and orderly way and thoroughly implement personal protection efforts is highly important. OBJECTIVE (1) To understand the people’s intention to use the electronic PHR platform MHB. (2) To investigate the factors affecting people’s intention to use MHB. METHODS From March 31, 2014 to April 9, 2014, in a promotion via email and Facebook, subjects were asked to fill out the structured questionnaire after watching an introductory video about MHB on YouTube. The questionnaire included seven dimensions: Perceived usefulness, Perceived ease of use, Health literacy, Privacy and security, Computer self-efficacy, Attitude toward use, and Behavioral intention to use. Each question was measured on a 5-point Likert scale from “strongly disagree” (1 point) to “strongly agree” (5 points). Descriptive statistics and structural equation analysis were performed using IBM SPSS Statistics 21 and AMOS 21. RESULTS This study collected 350 valid questionnaires (female: 219/350, 62.6%; age: 21-30 years: 238/350, 68.0%; education level: university: 228/350, 65.1%; occupation: student: 195/350, 56.6; average monthly income: < NT $30,000: 230/350, 65.7%; residence: northern Taiwan: 236/350, 67.4%; and perceived health status: good: 171/350, 48.9%). Four indicators, i.e., chi-squared value/degree of freedom (X2/df) (2.63), goodness-of-fit index (GFI) (0.85), adjusted goodness-of-fit index (AGFI) (0.81), and root mean square error of approximation (RMSEA) (0.07), were calculated. The results showed that the overall fit and fitness of the model were good. Further analysis indicated that the most important factor affecting the behavioral intention to use was the attitude toward use (0.78), followed by perceived ease of use (0.65), perceived usefulness (0.41), health literacy (0.10), and privacy and security (0.07). CONCLUSIONS From the perspective of the populace, this study explored the factors affecting the use of MHB and constructed an interpretation model with a strong goodness of fit. The results of our analysis are consistent with the technology acceptance model. Through the diverse value-added services of MHB, Taiwan's experience in pandemic prevention with smart technology can be helpful for facing future threats of unknown, emerging infectious diseases.

The e-commerce industry has the potential to be one of the drivers of the domestic economy. One of the impacts of the advancement of e-commerce is the emergence of many online-based marketplaces or so-called e-marketplaces. However, a lot of these online marketplaces sell 90% imported products. In addition, the outbreak of Covid-19 in Indonesia has prompted the government to establish several policies that have significantly reduced MSME performance by up to 70-100%. This study aimed to provide an empirical analysis of the influence of factors based on the Technology of Acceptance Model (TAM) approach, namely e-marketplace self-efficacy, complexity, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, attitude towards using, behavioral intention to use, and actual technology use in e-marketplaces. The sample consisted of MSMEs in East Java, especially those engaged in the food and beverage industry sector with ready-to-eat processed food products whose business activities use the Shopee e-marketplace application platform. This is an online shopping marketplace focused on mobile platforms. There were 150 respondents. The Structural Equation Model (SEM) was used. E-marketplace self-efficacy, complexity, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, attitude towards using, behavioral intention to use, and actual technology use in e-marketplaces all had positive effects on each other. This showed that a system that offers convenience will improve behavior, habits, and performance for MSMEs in using e-marketplace activities. Smart home services (SHSs) afford users an effective lifestyle management system, which provides human-oriented networking of smart devices and applications that enable users to control their homes from anywhere at any time. Despite the benefits of SHSs, however, their acceptance is very low. There remains a gap in the literature in terms of a comprehensive model that addresses users’ intention to use SHSs. To address this gap, the present study explored the factors that influence SHS acceptance among users based on well-established theoretical frameworks, such as the technology acceptance model, innovation diffusion theory, and the theory of planned behavior. To this end, the study integrated four additional factors, namely, perceived convenience, perceived connectedness, perceived cost, and perceived privacy risk, into the exploration and carried out structural equation modeling to quantitatively determine the effects of these factors. Questionnaires were administered to 750 users. The findings indicated that perceived compatibility, perceived convenience, perceived connectedness, perceived cost, perceived behavioral control with perceived usefulness, and perceived ease of use directly and indirectly exerted a significant influence on users’ intention to use SHSs.

This research article explores the important elements of trust and transparency to the adoption of e-government services. The Technology Acceptance Model was used as the theoretical framework. The data capture and analyses were conducted with SPSS. The results indicate that trust in the internet was a significant predictor of both the intention to use and perceived ease of use (PEOU), but was not significant in predicting perceived usefulness (PU) and the actual use (AU) of e-government services. Trust in the government (TG) was also not significant in determining both the intention to use and PEOU of e-government services. Rather TG had a significant impact on PU and the actual use (AU) of e-government services. Furthermore, perceived transparency was a significant predictor of PU, IU, and AU of e-government services. The implications of these findings on the implementation of e-government are thoroughly discussed.

Higher education institutions are faced with the complex challenges of serving increased enrollment levels within tight budgets. This challenge is prompting many universities to explore new approaches including the use of Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Moodle for delivering courses to help extend teaching and learning beyond the classroom. Using Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) as an underlying theory, this study investigated students' perceived usefulness as well as the perceived ease of use of Moodle in the University of Education, Winneba in Ghana. The study also used multiple linear regression to determine if these factors have any impact on the rate at which students use Moodle. Data was collected from a random sample of 229 students from the Faculty of Science Education using a questionnaire. The analysis revealed that students' perceived usefulness of Moodle and perceived challenges in using Moodle combined contributes significantly to students' rate of Moodle use.

Abstrak: Aplikasi Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) Pada Komputerisasi Kegiatan Pertanahan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji dan menganalisis pengaruh Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) Pada Komputerisasi Kegiatan Pertanahan. The purpose of this study was to determine the acceptance of Hospital Management Information Systems related to accounting transactions using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) methode. Constructs in TAM used are Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Usefulness, Behavior Intention to Use, and Actual Technology Usage. The population in this study were users of systems related to accounting transactions, with a total of 150 people. The sampling technique using the convenience non random sampling method. The data in this study were obtained by distributing questionnaires to 150 respondents. Data analysis using SEM-PLS with WarpPLS 5.0 software. The results showed that Perceived ease of use had an effect on Perceived usefulness and Behavior Intention to Use. Whereas, Perceived Usefulness influences Behavior Intention to Use, and Behavior Intention to Use has an effect on Actual Technology Usage. Keywords: Technology Acceptance Model, Partial Least Square, Hospital Management Information System, Accounting Management System
