This study aims to understand the influence of COVID-19 on consumers' fears and self-protection motivations. Furthermore, the study seeks to understand the effects of these fears and motivations on consumers' intentions to use omnichannel retailing. A modified theoretical model is proposed by integrating protection motivation theory (PMT) and extending the extended parallel process model (E-EPPM). A total of 398 valid questionnaires are collected and used for further structural equation modeling analysis. The results suggest that the perceived severity, perceived vulnerability, and health anxiety positively impact perceived fears surrounding COVID-19. Furthermore, it is found that perceived fear, self-efficacy, and response efficacy will affect the protection motivation of consumers and ultimately contribute to their behavioral intention to use omnichannel retailing. The findings theoretically enrich the research on COVID-19, PMT, and E-EPPM and empirically provide managerial implications for omnichannel retail service providers.

Mobile money services give trade benefits such as bill payment, decreased transaction costs and time, expanded savings possibilities, sales, and convenience. Despite the benefits, traders in Uganda are still slow to adopt and use mobile money services. This article reflects on the findings of a study that looked at the barriers that merchants experience while utilizing and implementing mobile money services in Uganda. A self-administered questionnaire was utilized to obtain data from 394 survey respondents. A model for encouraging traders to use mobile money services is offered. The suggested model expands on the Unified Theory of Technology Acceptance and Use. According to regression study, performance expectancy, social factors, and sensitization components all have a substantial impact on the behavioral intention of mobile money service uptake for trade. On the other hand, security and effort expectation had no significant affect on traders' behavioral intention to use mobile money services. Furthermore, the data show that enabling conditions affected the utilization of mobile money services for commercial transactions. The suggested approach is adaptable and generic, and it may be used in other developing nations with comparable circumstances to Uganda.

Niat perperilaku baru penggunaan Fintech berkontribusi lebih besar dibandingkan impresi penggunaan e-payment pada transaksi keuangan digital UMK.How are the impressions of using e-payments and new behavior intentions using e-payments in the new normal for micro and small businesses? This study aims to examine a research model that explains the impression of e-payments and new behavioral intentions toward utilization of digital financial inclusion MSEs. The research sample is micro and small businesses in Cikarang, with 81 respondents who own MSEs. The research data was processed and analyzed using SEM-PLS with the WrapPLS 7.0 application. The results showed that the impression of e-payment had a significant positive effect on behavioral intentions and financial inclusion. The new behavioral intention to use e-payments has a significant positive effect on MSEs' financial inclusion. New behavioral intentions partially mediate the impression of e-payment on digital financial inclusion of MSEs. The new behavioral intention to use Fintech contributes more than the impression of using e-payments in MSE digital financial transactions.

BACKGROUND: Technology has evolved in surprising ways, and augmented reality (AR) has positioned itself as one of the technologies with outstanding value. Its importance in education is still being debated, but its incorporation in business training has been left out. OBJECTIVE: This study aims to determine variables that explain the intention to use this technology in construction training, focused on preventing injuries and disabilities. METHODS: This study was carried out using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) through the structural equation method. The variables: perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, attitude toward using, and behavioral intention to use were incorporated. An AR app was developed that addresses the teaching of safety elements on scaffolding, and we collected data from Chilean construction companies. RESULTS: The results show that perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use explain the attitude towards using augmented reality, while perceived usefulness and attitude towards using explain behavioral intention to use. CONCLUSIONS: These findings enrich AR’s literature in the construction industry and have high business managers’ implications. It may allow them to implement this technology more likely to succeed in their virtual business training to prevent injury-related disability.

The research purpose was to conduct an empirical investigation into students’ use behavior of e-learning tools during the COVID-19 pandemic, a case study of higher educational institutions in Thailand. The study applied the UTAUT2 theoretical model. Primary data was collected using a structured questionnaire from a total of 1,493 students across institutions of higher learning in Thailand. Structural equation modelling (SEM) was conducted using AMOS. The findings indicated that student’s behavioral intention to use e-learning tools is positively and significantly influenced by performance expectancy (β=0.22, p<0.05); effort expectancy (β=0.14, p<0.05); social influence (β=0.20, p<0.05); facilitating condition (β=0.50, p<0.05); hedonic motivation (β=0.35, p<0.05); learning value (β=0.51, p<0.05); and social distance (β=0.46, p<0.05). Similarly, behavioral intention by the students to use e-learning tools have a positive and significant effect on actual use of e-learning tools (β=0.82, p<0.05). Learning value and social distance had the largest positive effects on the student’s behavioral intention to use e-learning tools. It is important for the higher education institutions in Thailand to consider them. They are major factors driving students towards adopting e-learning tools during disruptions as witnessed during the COVID-19 pandemic period.
