ABSTRAK Karakteristik fisik sedimen dan dinamika pergerakannya mempunyai peranan penting bagi stabilitas suatu kawasan pesisir. Desa Timbulsloko, Kabupaten Demak merupakan salah satu desa di kawasan pesisir yang memiliki pantai yang bermangrove. Sama dengan daerah pesisir lainnya, daerah ini juga mendapat pengaruh faktor lingkungan dari darat dan laut yang dikhawatirkan dapat menyebabkan perubahan garis pantai. Penelitian ini dilakukan guna menjawab permasalahan belum banyaknya informasi mengenai karakteristik fisik sedimen dalam hubungannya dengan mangrove di kawasan tersebut. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Bulan Maret 2017 bertempat di Desa Timbulsloko, Kabupaten Demak. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi kawasan pesisir Desa Timbulsloko ditinjau dari karakteristik fisik sedimen dan kondisi kerapatan relatif hutan mangrovenya. Sampling sedimen dilakukan disepanjang pantai sejauh 775m. Beberapa metode yang dilakukan pada penelitian yaitu Metode Soil Jar Test, Haphazard, Point Centered Quarter, dan Principal Component Analysis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sedimen didominasi oleh fraksi lumpur (92,50%), sedimen memiliki warna coklat muda hingga kehitaman dengan nilai HUE 28,53-36,61o, salinitas sedimen berkisar antara 13,60-25‰. Jenis mangrove yang mendominasi kawasan tersebut yaitu Rhizophora sp.. Berdasarkan analisa PCA, fraksi liat dan lumpur dalam sedimen berkorelasi positif dengan kerapatan total mangrove. Kata Kunci : Karakteristik Fisik Sedimen; Kerapatan Relatif Hutan Mangrove; Desa Timbulsloko ABSTRACT The physical characteristics of sediment and the dynamics of its movement have an important role for the stability of a coastal region. Timbulsloko Village, Demak Regency is one of the villages in the coastal area overgrown by mangroves.  Similar to other coastal areas, this area also has the effect of environmental factors from land and sea that are feared can cause coastline shifts. This research was conducted to answer the problem of the lack of information about the physical characteristics of sediment in relation to the mangroves in the area. The research was conducted in March 2017 at Timbulsloko Village, Demak Regency. This study aimed to determine the condition of coastal areas of Timbulsloko Village in terms of physical characteristics of sediment and relative density of mangrove forest conditions. Sediment sampling was done along the coast as far as 775m. Some method that used in this study are Soil Jar Test, Haphazard, Point Centered Quaretr, and Principal Component Analysis. The results showed that sediment was dominated by mud fraction (92,50%), sediment had light brown to blackish with HUE value 28,53-36,61o, sediment salinity was between 13,60-25 ‰. Type of mangrove that dominates the area is Rhizophora sp.. Based on PCA analysis, clay and mud fraction in the sediment correlated positively with the total relative density of mangrove. Keyword : Physical Characteristic of Sediment; Relative Density of Mangrove Forest; Timbulsloko Village

This research conducted due to lack of information about fish larvae in Ranau Lake, South Sumatera. This information is quite essential to explore because this can be used as a scientific basis for policy formation in this area. The objectives of this research are to analyze the correlation between fish larvae abundance to physicochemical parameters in Ranau Lake waters. Sampling was carried out at six stations (Muara Silabung, Dermaga, Way Maisin, Pemandian Air Panas, Lumbok, and Talang Teluk). Physico-chemical parameters measured directly in the field are temperature, pH, depth, brightness, CO2, O2, hardness, electrical conductivity, total alkalinity, and turbidity; while the chemical parameters measured in the laboratory are COD, NO2, NO3, NH3, and PO4. Larvae species identified through DNA sequence. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) was used to measure the relationship between fish larvae abundance to the water parameters. Results show that generally there were forty-two fish larvae from nine species. The dominant species was Oreochromis niloticus. The results of the Principal Component Analysis show that the highest abundance of fish larvae was in water with the highest level of turbidity and dissolved oxygen, whereas the lowest abundance was in water with the highest level nitrate and depth.   Belum ada informasi tentang kelimpahan larva ikan diperairan Danau Ranau Sumatera Selatan melatarbelakangi penelitian ini. Informasi ini sangat penting untuk diketahui karena dapat dijadikan acuan dalam pengelolaan perikanan di wilayah ini. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan kelimpahan larva ikan dengan parameter fisika-kimia di perairan Danau Ranau. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan di enam stasiun (Muara Silabung, Dermaga, Way Maissin, Pemandian Air Panas, Lumbok dan Talang Teluk). Parameter fisika-kimia perairan yang diukur langsung di lapangan adalah suhu, pH, kedalaman, kecerahan, CO2, O2, kesadahan, daya hantar listrik, total alkalinitas, dan turbiditas; sedangkan parameter kimia yang diukur di laboratorim adalah COD, NO2, NO3, NH3, dan PO4. Spesies larva ikan diidentifikasi dengan sekuen DNA. Analisis Komponen Utama dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kelimpahan larva ikan dengan parameter fisika-kimia perairan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan secara keseluruhan ada 42 larva ikan yang berasal dari 9 spesies. Spesies yang paling dominan adalah Oreochromis niloticus. Hasil Analisis Komponen Utama menunjukkan bahwa kelimpahan larva ikan tertinggi (102,9 individu/100m3) berada pada stasiun pengamatan yang memiliki turbiditas dan oksigen terlarut tertinggi, sedangkan kelimpahan larva ikan terendah (10,83 individu/100m3) berada pada stasiun pengamatan yang memiliki kadar nitrat dan kedalaman tertinggi.

The improvement of the macro-level accident situation in the Chinese construction industry is currently an urgent task for the government due to the high accident rate. This study intends to use improved principal component analysis to explore the accident situations in the Chinese construction industry from a multi-dimensional perspective, aiming at providing targeted direction on the improvement of the accident situation for the government. Six composite indicators that can quantify the accident situation are firstly selected based on a wide review of the literature and interviews with safety experts, with the original data collected from China institutions. The classical principal component analysis is then improved to examine the correlations between indicators, and further to evaluate accident situations in China provinces. Finally, the features of accident situations are explored and analyzed from a multi-dimensional perspective. The findings show that the improved principal component analysis can retain more dispersion degree information of the original data. Meanwhile, three principal components including the accident frequency, trend, and severity were extracted to quantify the accident situation, and a hierarchical indicator system for the comprehensive evaluation of the accident situation was constructed to deeper understand multi-dimensional characteristics of China’s accident situations. Furthermore, there exist great regional differences of accident situations in Chinese provinces. From the overall perspective, the accident situation shows a declining trend from the western backward region to the highly developed eastern coastal region. This study provides a multi-dimensional perspective for the government to formulate safety regulations and improve the accident situation.

The physical properties of maize seeds are closely related to food processing and production. To study and evaluate the characteristics of maize seeds, typical maize seeds in a cold region of North China were used as test varieties. A variety of agricultural material test benches were built to measure the maize seeds’ physical parameters, such as thousand-grain weight, moisture content, triaxial arithmetic mean particle size, coefficient of static friction, coefficient of rolling friction, angle of natural repose, coefficient of restitution, and stiffness coefficient. Principal component and cluster comprehensive analyses were used to simplify the characteristic parameter index used to judge the comprehensive score of maize seeds. The results showed that there were significant differences in the main physical characteristics parameters of the typical maize varieties in this cold area, and there were different degrees of correlation among the physical characteristics. Principal component analysis was used to extract the first three principal component factors, whose cumulative contribution rate was over 80%, representing most of the information of the original eight physical characteristic parameters, and had good representativeness and objectivity. According to the test results, the classification standard of the evaluation of the physical characteristics of 15 kinds of maize seeds were determined, and appropriate evaluations were conducted. The 15 kinds of maize seeds were clustered into four groups by cluster analysis, and the physical characteristics of each groups were different. This study provides a new idea for the evaluation and analysis of the physical properties of agricultural materials, and provides a new method for the screening and classification of food processing raw materials.

This study aims to identify the factors determining that influence the suitability proboscis monkey (Nasalis larvatus Wurmb, 1781) in the mangrove habitat Kutai National Park through spatial modeling. Habitat suitability was analyzed using Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and linear regression were integrated with geographical information systems. Principal Component Analysis is a technique to construct new variables that are linear combinations of the original variables by reducing the variables used. The presence of groups of proboscis monkey marked with GPS. Satellite images from Landsat 8 path 116 row 60 processed digitally to generate proboscis vegetation distribution and Normalization Difference Vegetation Index, Variable distance from roads, distance from settlements, the distance from the fishpond, and the distance from the source of water is obtained from the analysis euclidean distance of Indonesia Earth Appearance map. Spatial modeling using the coordinates of the encounter group proboscis as the dependent variable and the predictor variables used in the regression model is the distance from the road, the distance from the settlement, the distance from the pond, the distance from the source of water, the distance of Avicennia, distance from Bruguiera, distance from Rhizophora, distance from Sonneratia, and LAI (Leaf Area Index). The overall area of the study area was used to build the model is 7 343.88 hectares. The results habitat suitability modeling proboscis monkey in the mangroves of TNK showed that only 99.50 hectares or 1.35% have high compatibility, the suitability being has a total area of 384.58 hectares or 18.85%, whereas an area of 5 859.81 hectares or 79.79% low suitability. The results of models have explained that the distribution of the proboscis monkey habitat suitability is influenced by factors of disturbance.

ABSTRAK Desa Mojo merupakan salah satu wilayah Kecamatan Ulujami yang memiliki kawasan mangrove yang luas. Hutan mangrove di Desa Mojo merupakan hasil rehabilitasi yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat sekitar dan pihak terkait. Hutan mangrove Desa Mojo mempunyai fungsi yang sangat penting bagi daerah sekitarnya. Rehabilitasi yang telah dilakukan tersebut memberikan efek terhadap ekosistem. Habitat mangrove yang ada di Desa Mojo tersebut kemungkinan memberikan karakteristik terhadap sedimen sebaliknya karakteristik sedimen merupakan faktor penting terhadap keberadaan mangrove. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Maret – april 2016. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan karakteristik sedimen terhadap tegakan mangrove. Metode yang digunakan untuk menghitung kerapatan mangrove yaitu Point Centered Quarter Method. Karakteristik sedimen meliputi pengukuran fisika sedimen, pengukuran tekstur sedimen dengan metode Soil Jar Test (FAO), dan bahan organik sedimen diukur dengan metode LOI (Loss on Ignition). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kondisi kawasan mangrove di Desa Mojo termasuk sangat padat, karena memiliki kerapatan lebih dari 1500 pohon per hektar (KepMenLH No.201, 2004). Sedimen pada kawasan mangrove Desa Mojo memiliki karakteristik tekstur silt (lumpur). Hasil Principal Component Analysis korelasi spesies mangrove dipengaruhi langsung oleh kuantitas silt dibandingkan dengan faktor lingkungan lainnya.  Kata Kunci : Tekstur sedimen; Mangrove; Ulujami; Pemalang ABSTRACT Mojo village is one of the District of Ulujamithat has extensive mangrove areas. The mangrove forest in the village of Mojo is the result of the rehabilitation undertaken by the local community and other interested parties. It has a very important function for the surrounding area. The rehabilitation has been done to give effect to the ecosystem. Mangrove habitat in the village of Mojo and sediment characteristics of mutrual influenced.. The study was conducted in March - April 2016. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation characteristic of sediment to mangrove stands. The method used to calculate the density of mangrove namely Point Centered Quarter Method. Sediment characteristics include physical measurements of sediment, sediment texture measurement method Jar Test Soil (FAO), and sedimentary organic matter is measured by the method of LOI (Loss on Ignition). The results showed that the condition of the mangrove area in the village of Mojo include very dense, because it has a density of more than 1500 trees per hectare (KepMenLH 201, 2004). Sediment in the mangrove areas Desa Mojo has the characteristic texture of silt. The data used by the Principal Component Analysis correlation mangrove species were influenced by the quantity of silt, while there is no direct impact on other environmental factors on the existing mangrove species. Keywords: Sediment texture,Mangrove.
