With the rapid development of computer technology, Visual simulation technology is mature, widely applied to every field of education, teachers and students benefit, the teaching effect has improved significantly. From the characteristics, function of visual simulation technology, visual simulation technology are introduced in the sports teaching the application of visual simulation system design a set of sports training. The system construction of virtual scene by using the method of training detail step by step, based on the three-dimensional image VRP interactive platform for the development environment, visual simulation for sports training. The practice proved: the system simulation is high, achieved the effect of sports training simulation, and operation flow.

Large area real terrain modeling is the key technology in visual simulation system. This thesis discusses the terrain modeling technology based on the GeoTIFF data, which transform the GeoTIFF data to DEM using the Global Mapper. And then, the three dimensional terrain models are established through Creator environment, the real terrain modeling is implemented quickly.

The advances in the study of three dimensional (3D) interactive visualization techniques in hydraulic engineering are reviewed. Main contents, key technologies and the difficulties with their solutions in the application of 3D interactive visualization techniques to water conservancy works are analyzed and summarized. A true 3D visual simulation system prototype for large-scale water conservancy project was built. A framework for building 3D visual simulation system for complex field data in hydraulic engineering is presented to illustrate potentiality and effectiveness of 3D visualization techniques for hydraulic engineering. Aspects like navigation and presentations of complex field data with spatial dependence are presented.

In the field of hydropower project, the overabundance of information from multiplex data sources has forced managers and decision makers to spend much time dealing with information they need. Therefore the research on project simulation system is quite necessary. If system can provide some construction plan and schedule of the project properly, it will greatly improve the effectiveness of the plan. After the analysis of specific projects’ process and demands, this paper puts forward a visual simulation solution to large-scale hydropower construction, which including visual simulation model, design of algorithms and system implementation. Based on SOA structure, the optimization model and the simulation results’ 3D visualization are provided and a virtual three-dimensional world of the complicated coordinal construction process is proposed, with the advantage of direct viewing and real-time interactive, facilitating effective technical support for the decision of project construction design, and greatly enhancing the information level of design and organization of large-scale hydropower projects.

Visual simulation is the most important manifestation of virtual reality technology. Take a civil aviation airport as an example of visual simulation, based on the real-time, interactivity and realism of visual simulation system, we discuss Creator 3.0 in building three-dimensional scene of the civilian airport, and the development of visual simulation system based on Vega Prime. The simulation results show that it provides the basis for the safe and reliable in air traffic control, reducing the working pressure of the air traffic controller, improving the operating efficiency of the air traffic, and increasing the traffic flow of air and surface.
