The library as one of the media that provides a variety of reliable sources of knowledge in the form of books, journals and other scientific research. To increase interest in reading, especially in students and lecturers, the library needs to be supported by a system that can manage library data quickly and accurately. At this time, especially in the University of Kuningan Faculty of Computer Science Library the existing library application still has several obstacles, namely the system cannot display the existing book stock and the number of books borrowed making it difficult for librarians and students to check stock, for input and search books are still input by typing it so that it is inefficient, to search for books in other faculties' libraries, they must choose the first keywords that are searched so that they must check one by one in various faculties, there is no division of categories between books, journals or theses and the resulting reports are not optimal . The results of this study are in the form of an information system in which librarians can manage collection data in the form of books, journals, student / lecturer research results (practical work reports / thesis proposals / final assignments / theses / dissertations), other collections (such as magazines , newspapers, etc.), management of borrowing and returning books, management of library members, guest books and reports (available books, borrowed, etc.). The system developed can read book codes and member codes in the form of barcodes to facilitate data search when borrowing / returning transactions occur. Each book has one barcode, where the same title (including the author, publisher and published year) has the same code, the code is only the back for each book, so that the book can be borrowed / available / lost. even though the title is the same. This system is designed using DFD and developed using the RAD method. The design results are applied to the PHP and MySQL programming languages. This information system can be used by all librarians in all faculties in Kuningan University and Kuningan University librarians, where each admin / user can only manage data in each work unit..Keywords Library, DFD, Barcode, MySQL, Information System

AbstractThe global COVID-19 pandemic caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus has led to a plethora of information published in the media. Conceived as a socioscientific issue of great relevance currently, this article highlight the educational potential of some media news about the pandemic to reflect and learn about the nature of science (NOS). To this end, a theoretical foundation is first presented regarding the reading of science news published in the media as an educational resource to learn about NOS. Secondly, a proposal is presented on how this might be addressed in the science classroom. The proposal is illustrated by four news items, intentionally selected as examples, which have been published in the Spanish digital press. The aspects of NOS that are discussed in the context of the news items selected are: tentativeness of scientific knowledge, role of error in scientific research, role of debate in the development of science, importance of models and modelling in scientific research, and ethics in science.

Georg von Neumayer achieved outstanding scientific results and created the organisational framework for the successful completion of scientific tasks. Returning from Australia, Neumayer aimed to set up in Germany a state-owned centre for marine meteorology, hydrography, navigation, marine instruments and geomagnetism, with an emphasis on scientific research with practical application of the findings. Since 1868, a successfully operating private institute, Norddeutsche Seewarte, had existed in Hamburg. This institute provided instructions for sailing routes and the optimal use of favourable winds and currents. In 1875, the institute was transformed into an imperial institution, the ‘Deutsche Seewarte’ (German Marine Observatory), with a broad spectrum of marine responsibilities including meteorological forecasts and warnings, data acquisition and management, and climatology. Its first director was Georg von Neumayer, who led it to worldwide recognition. In 1903, he retired but the Deutsche Seewarte continued in his spirit. At the end of World War II, the institute was destroyed by bombs and ceased to exist. Today, the tasks are shared between Marine Meteorological Office of the Deutscher Wetterdienst specialising in the marine meteorological and related topics and the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency.

This article is devoted to the criminological analysis of crimes against the normal development of minors. The article highlights which institutions are important and significant for the normal development of adolescents, namely: school, family, public organizations and the media. In addition, the article provides an analysis of changes in time, structure and development trends of crimes against the normal development of adolescents. As materials for the analysis were taken statistical data for the Republic of Dagestan. On the problem mentioned in this article, there are already many views of various scientists. But, despite the available scientific research, this article can provide sufficient and comprehensive material for organizing and conducting relevant preventive work.

Something terrible has happened in the city of Dnipro, Ukraine, this summer. The media reported that several hooligans poured gasoline into an eight-year-old boy, set him on fire and then laughed. The event is so scary that it's hard to describe. Police determined the hooligans were several years older than the victim. Unfortunately, the hooligans attacked a helpless boy and thus committed a crime as difficult to find in the annals of forensics. The methodology of scientific research in the field of criminal law states the following: the crime was committed and the perpetrators were arrested. Further criminal investigations should determine all the circumstances of this horrific crime, and, above all, the degree of burns and the condition of the victim's organism. This paper discusses what forensics can do. Keywords: Gasoline; Fire; Boy; Victim

IN earlier issues Broad-Spectrum-Academics’ Essays have covered Cane Toads (Bufo marinus), squirrels, the media and the universe. Rick Shine wrote as a herpetologist and as a leader in ecological field-research while Fred Watson wrote as an astronomer engaging us with rocket science, telescopes and a squirrel living in an Arizonan mountain-top. Both these luminaries have one obvious thing in common with the author in this issue: they have been doing it for a long time.

The media representation of the activities of political leaders in the media is not well studied in science currently. The article fills this theoretical gap by examining existing scientific research and the approaches to the representation of politicians reflected in various sources. The purpose of the paper is to show what approaches to the representation of the activities of political leaders exist in the modern theory of media representation. The article examines the main research approaches to the media representation of political leaders. Since journalism creates political discourse, partly spontaneously and partly deliberately, there are many approaches to representing the activities of political leaders in the media. Given that some of the content about political leaders is created spontaneously, research approaches that describe a more thoughtful approach to generating political content in the media are especially interesting in this study. In Russian scientific research, there are no classifications of research approaches to the representation of the activities of political leaders; accordingly, this research has a novelty. Moreover, the study is one of the first on the topic of media presentation of the activities of political leaders. This process and its results are poorly covered in Russian science. The paper uses methods of classification and comparative analysis. A classification of approaches used in various sciences and describes the specifics of media presentation is proposed. The classification is based on the idea that media representation is an important social process that is comprehended not only in the theory of journalism. The comparative analysis is carried out when comparing theories of media representation. The conclusion is made that such an approach as modeling is the most interesting from a practical point of view; modeling helps to increase the responsibility of journalists and a more conscious approach to representing the political life of society. Modeling the representation of the activities of political leaders suggests that the creation of content about political leaders will become less spontaneous, more orderly. Modeling can help create a benchmark for a more adequate representation of the activities of political leaders.

N- phosphonomethyl glycine (glyphosate) is the derivative of the amino acid glycine. Glyphosate is a broad-spectrum herbicide. Glyphosate is translocated via phloem system and moves from the roots to the growing parts of the plants. Many researches proved that lignin-modifying enzymes LME including laccases have ability to degrade glyphosate. Pleurotus sp. was cultured during 12 days in the media with coir dust, sesame residue, urea, saccharose, K2HPO4 and minerals. After 12 days, the media contain laccase with the activity of 0.227U/g. Moreover, Pleurotus sp. also grew in the media which contain glyphosate and made a decrease in this content from 50mg/kg to 10.5mg/kg after 12 days.
