Abstract During the loading operation of a ship loader in bulk terminal, in order to bring bulk cargo, such as coal and ore, precisely into every corner of the cabin and not to raise dust at the same time, the slip barrel mechanism usually is placed fully inside the ship cabin near the cargo as close as possible. However, if too close, it will increase the risk of collision between slip barrel and cargo, which poses a security risk to loading operation. This article proposes an anti-collision method for slip barrel in the process of automatic ship loading in bulk terminal. This method can accurately position the cargo of cabin which is blocked by slip barrel and shovel, and provide a reliable guarantee for the automatic loading operation. Firstly, this method use an array of laser radar mounted on the maintenance platforms to perceive the collision objects around the slip barrel, including the cargo and cabin. Meanwhile, it provides a compensation algorithm to reduce the effect of anti-collision recognition brought by dust and various obstacles during the operation. According to the calculated effective distance between the cargo and slip barrel, the automatic control system of ship loading can adjust the loading operation on a real-time basis. In the end, this article analyze and illustrate the reliability and validity of this method by the case of the application in automatic ship loading system in Tianjin coal terminal.

AbstractClosed-loop control and real-time monitoring of pulsed excimer laser cleaning and ablation have been realised by software and hardware design and development. The audible acoustic wave generated during excimer laser surface cleaning and ablation has been used as the feedback signal for the automatic control system of laser-surface interaction. Man–machine interface for laser operation and acoustic monitoring has been developed with LabVIEW 4.1 under Windows 95 environment. This system has been used to control and monitor laser cleaning and ablation processes in real-time and proven to successfully meet the requirements in our study. By database exchange, this automatic control system can also be applied to control drilling and materials removing.

The automatic monitoring and control method for aerosol cultivation of lettuce was proposed by real-time monitoring and automatic control of the cultivation environment, on-line detection and automatic control of nutrient solution, and the combination of field control and remote control, which has realized the intelligent management of aerosol cultivation of lettuce based on plant factory. The monitoring and control system of aerosol cultivation, the control model for the spray frequency of nutrient solution and the fuzzy control method for the pH value control of nutrient solution were introduced. The control system has been applied in the agricultural science and technology park, and the results show that the aerosol cultivation of lettuce has advantages over the traditional method.

There are still plenty of shortcomings in existing construction elevator,such as low automation ,high cost and no communication equipment between the driver and users. The CAN bus and PLC are used in construction elevator control system to achieve the construction elevator automatic control, The experimental results show thatthe system can save almost one hundred control signal wires,it makes the installation and maintenance more convenient,and enhances the system function of real-time,reliability,flexibility.

Abstract A pipeline inspection gauge (PIG) is an effective device for pipeline cleaning and inspection. Furthermore, a speed-controlled PIG can adjust speed by controlling the bypass valve. The conventional-speed controlled PIG uses batteries as an energy source to adjust the bypass valve. Battery power and other electronic equipment will limit running distance and cause a potential security risk. In this paper, a PIG with a hydraulic automatic control system is presented. The kinematic model of the PIG in the liquid pipeline is obtained by studying the hydraulic automatic control system and PIG movement mechanism with a bypass valve. A numerical method was used to solve the PIG's kinematic model. Through parameter sensitivity analysis, the influence law of each parameter on the entire system is obtained. The case study was conducted by a numerical method, which confirmed that the hydraulic automatically controlled PIG has speed control ability. Compared with a PIG without the speed control system, the hydraulic automatic speed-controlled PIG has better motion performance in the fluctuating pipeline.

Soakage agent in glass fiber production is critically, the stability of its quality is directly related to the stability of the glass fiber quality. According to the characteristics of the soakage glass in fiber agent production process, this paper is mainly introduced the multi-sensor information collection for the soakage agent process parameters, and is proposed to use PLC programming, PID control and fuzzy control harmony methods to achieve the real-time automatic control preparation process of the soakage agent in adding water of amount, adding oil of amount, temperature control, liquid level control, viscosity test and many other parameters . The practical application of the automatic control system is reliable, accurate, real time.

Control system adopt the open field bus control structure, Yanhua industrial computer as main PC responsible for management, Siemens S7-200 PLC as Hypogynies control. executive agencies responsible for enforcing the command of the PLC to control the parameters; The MCGS software was used for control for system real-time monitoring. The control system has certain theoretical meaning and practical value for powerful features, reliable performance and convenient operation.
