The local octahedral environment of Ni2+ in NiTiF6 ・ 6H2O and ZnSiF6 ・ 6H2O crystals with a trigonal distortion has been studied at different temperatures, based on the complete energy matrices. The calculated results showed that the local lattice structure around an octahedral Ni2+ centre in NiTiF6 ・ 6H2O and ZnSiF6 ・ 6H2O exhibits a compression distortion. Simultaneously, the orbital reduction effect on the g factors has been studied. The relationship between Δg = g||−g⊥ and orbital reduction factor k at 4.2, 77 and 298 (302) K has been discussed, suggesting that there is an almost linear relation between k and Δg for the Ni2+ ion in NiTiF6 ・ 6H2O and ZnSiF6 ・ 6H2O at each temperature.

AbstractA theoretical method for studying the inter-relationship between electronic and molecular structure is presented by means of complete energy matrices. As an application, the effects of temperature, concentration and hydrostatic pressure on the local structures of Ni2+ doped Zn(BF4)2 ・6H2O crystal have been studied. Our results show that the local lattice structures of [Ni(H2O)6]2+ coordination complex have expansion distortions as the temperature rises. Meanwhile, we find that the local structure parameter θ becomes smaller with the increasing concentration of Ni2+ ions doped in Zn(BF4)2 ・6H2O crystal. Furthermore, the pressure dependence of θ and anisotropic g-factors are discussed and the relationship between zero-field splitting parameter D and Δg is determined.

The respiratory rates of three species of planktonic copepods, Acartia clausi, Centropages hamatus and Temora longicornis, were measured at four different temperatures. The relationship between respiratory rate and temperature was found to be similar to that previously found for Calanus, although the slope of the curves differed in the different species. The observations on Centropages at 13 and 170 C. can be divided into two groups and it is suggested that the differences are due to the use of copepods from two different generations. The relationship between the respiratory rates and lengths of Acartia and Centropages agreed very well with that previously found for other species. That for Temora was rather different: the difference is probably due to the distinct difference in the shape of the body of Temora from those of the other species. The application of these measurements to estimates of the food requirements of the copepods is discussed.

Many studies have found that FDI can reduce the pollutant emissions of host countries. At the same time, the intensity of environmental regulation would affect the emission reduction effect of FDI in the host country. This study aims to reveal the internal mechanisms of this effect. Specifically, this paper studies the impact of FDI on technological innovation in China’s industrial sectors from the perspective of technology transactions from 2001 to 2019, and then analyzes whether the intensity of environmental regulation can promote the relationship. Results indicate that FDI promotes technological innovation through technology transactions. In addition, it finds that the intensity of environmental regulation significantly positively moderates the relationship between FDI and technological innovation, which is achieved by positively moderating the FDI–technology transaction relationship. Regional heterogeneity analysis is further conducted, and results show that in the eastern and western regions of China, FDI can stimulate technological innovation within regional industrial sectors through technology trading. Moreover, environmental regulation has a significant positive regulatory effect on the above relationship, but these effects are not supported by evidence in the central region of China.

Barley (Hordeum vulgare L. ’Champlain’) was grown with quackgrass (Agropyron repens (L.) Beauv.) at various densities for 3 yr. According to the regression analysis, a linear relation is appropriate to describe the relationship between yield of barley and biomass or density of quackgrass. A greater proportion of yield variability was explained by density (64%) than by biomass (40%). Density is then a better criterion than biomass to predict yield lost in barley. The linear relationship between barley yield and the shoot density of quackgrass is estimated by the following equation: yield barley = 345.3–0.5682 dens, quackgrass. An increase of 10 shoots/m2 in the mean density of quackgrass resulted in a mean loss of 6 g/m2 in the yield of barley.

The relationship between temperature and the mechanical properties of an end cross-linked equal molar random copolyether elastomer of 3,3-bis(azidomethyl)oxetane and tetrahydrofuran (P(BAMO-r-THF)) was investigated. During this investigation, the performances of two P(BAMO-r-THF) elastomers with different thermal histories were compared at different temperatures. The elastomer as prepared at 20 °C (denoted as S0) exhibited semi-crystallization morphology. Wide angle X-ray diffraction analysis indicated that the crystal grains within elastomer S0 result from the crystallization of BAMO micro-blocks embedded in P(BAMO-r-THF) polymeric chains, and the crystallinity is temperature irreversible under static conditions. After undergoing a heating-cooling cycle, this elastomer became an amorphous elastomer (denoted as S1). Regarding mechanical properties, at 20 °C, break strains and stresses of 315 ± 22% and 0.46 ± 0.01 MPa were obtained for elastomer S0; corresponding values of 294 ± 6% and 0.32 ± 0.02 MPa were obtained for elastomer S1. At −40 °C, these strains and stresses simultaneously increased to 1085 ± 21% and 8.90 ± 0.72 MPa (S0) and 1181 ± 25% and 10.23 ± 0.44 MPa (S1), respectively, owing to the strain-induced crystallization of BAMO micro-blocks within the P(BAMO-r-THF) polymeric chains.

The objective of this paper is to establish the relationship between fuzzy approximation operators and fuzzy transformation systems. We show that for each upper fuzzy transformation system there exists a fuzzy reflexive approximation space and vice-versa. We further establish such relationship between lower fuzzy transformation systems and fuzzy reflexive approximation spaces under the condition that the underline lattice structure satisfies double negation law.
