The presumed lost type of Arma pallipes Dallas is found and Thomas’s (1992) neotype is hereby set aside (ICZN 1999, Art. 75.8). A. pallipes is proposed as junior subjective synonym of Podisus ventralis (Dallas). A lectotype designation by inference of holotype (Gaedike 1971) is accepted for the female typical specimen of P. neniator deposited at Senckenberg Deutsches Entomologisches Institut (SDEI, Müncheberg, Germany) (ICZN 1999, Art. 74.6). Two new species of Podisus Herrich-Schäffer are described: Podisus graziae Brugnera, Roell & Lemaître sp. nov. and Podisus thomasi Lemaître, Roell & Brugnera sp. nov. Photographs of all types as well as of live specimens are provided.

The study focuses on the socio-psychological analysis of images of typical specimen of high status and low status person identified using qualitative and quantitative methods of data collection and analysis. On the basis of the two stages of the study, using miscellaneous research methods, (n=120) the main relevant characteristics were identified: objective sources of social status, behavioral peculiarities, personality qualities, appearance peculiarities, nonverbal behavior and experiences of such people. These characteristics may reflect important for young people areas of life and their perception of the society model.

This study is to investigate the compressive strength of the carbon/epoxy thick laminate after damage. Through damage tolerance of thick laminate is not standardized test because specimens exceed typical specimen thickness described in the ASTM standard, design allowable of thick laminate shall be determined by the experiment to address design criteria of the structure and incorporate functional capability with damage level. In this study, it is performed the research on damage tolerance of thick laminate adopting aircraft structure. The damage tolerance of thick laminates such as no damage and impact damage is evaluated under compression loading.

In order to extend the resolution available in electron tomograms, we have been experimenting with various deconvolution procedures that will ultimately enable correction of the focus gradient thereby allowing the resolution to be extended to beyond the first zero in the contrast transfer function (CTF). This effort requires first a determination of the amount of amplitude and phase contrast in the typical specimen used by us.For the determination of the percentage of amplitude contrast a focus series of 19 images was taken at a magnification of 13500 on a CM300. The micrographs were digitized on a PDS scanner, the pixel size was 0.888 nm. After correction of translational shifts, rotations, and defocus dependent magnification differences the image restoration was carried out according to [1,2]. From the resulting complex wave function an averaged amplitude contrast amount of 18% was obtained for the stained specimen. The phase contrast part and amplitude contrast part are shown in Figs, 1b, and 1c, respectively, and can be compared with the micrograph taken at 960 nm underfocus (Fig. 1a).

Abstract Twenty (10 intensity-modulated proton therapy (IMPT) and 10 intensity-modulated x-ray therapy (IMXT) treatment plans for patients with advanced prostate carcinoma were compared in this study. All chosen patients were indicated for prostate and pelvic lymph nodes irradiation using simultaneous integrated boost technique. These patients represent typical specimen for this diagnose. IMPT irradiates just half of the tissue volume with a low dose (up to 10 cobalt gray equivalent) compared to IMXT without compromise in target volumes coverage and in this way reduces the risk of secondary cancer development or other possible complications.

Abstract In this work, an experiment was carried out to investigate the preparation condition of anosotropic Fe-deficient M-type Ca-Sr system ferrite with optimum magnetic and physical properties using the raw material Fe2O3 from steel industrial iron oxide waste. The compositions of the calcined ferrites were chosen according to the stoichiometry Ca1 − x−yLaxSryFe10.9CozO19, where x was varied between 0.05 and 0.85, y between 0 and 0.18, and z = 0. The effect of CaO, SiO2 and Co3O4 inter-additives on the Ca-Sr system ferrite was also discussed in order to obtain low-temperature sintered magnets. The optimum condition of making magnets and some properties of a typical specimen are as follows. The preparation condition: condition: composition Ca0.37La0.45Sr0.18Fe10.9Co0O19, calcination condition 1240 °C × 1hr in atmosphere, low-temperature sintering condition 1210 °C × 1hr in atmosphere, inter-additives Co3O4 = 1.85 wt%, CaCO3 = 1.7 wt%, SiO2 = 0.6 wt%, CaO/SiO2 = 1.59. The magnetic properties of Br=5425 Gauss, bHc=4320 Oe, iHc=4602 Oe and (BH)max=5.26 MGOe were obtained for Ca-Sr system hard magnets with relatively low cobalt content. The unremarkable steel industrial iron oxide waste is recycled produce high-end permanent magnets under output power < 1 kW, which will eventually be used in high-efficiency motors. This is a specific manifestation of "garbage turning into gold" and is one of the best models of circular economy.

The object of this article is the analysis of a typical specimen of Carolingian court poetry, namely Paul the Deacon’s Carmen X, which was written at the very beginning of the so-called Carolingian Renaissance in 781. In my opinion, Paul’s poem demonstrates once more how, on the one hand, the poetical technique and use of classical sources and, on the other hand, the crucial influence of the environment of Charlemagne’s court that both makes Carolingian poetry an extremely innovative literary form, and strongly connects it with the later phenomenon of Humanism.

Sphærostilbite was one of a number of sub-species which Beudant in his Mineralogy, published in 1832, separated from ordinary stilblte owing to slight differences in chemical composition. In a typical specimen from the Faroe Islands he describes the sphmrosfilbite as innplanted upon ordinary stilhite, in the form of small globules, presenting a fibrous radiated structure and brilliant pearly lustre on the fractured surface. Unlike stilhite, it gelatinlsed with acids, and it also had a specific gravity (2.31) slightly higher than that of stilhite. According to the analyses given by Beudant, however, it differed in chemical composition so little from ordinary stilbite that in later text-books (Glocker, 1839; Breithaupt, 1847, &c.) it has always been referred to that species.
