This investigates the effect of dividend policy on stock prices. Objective of the study is to see if there exists any relationship between dividend policy and stock prices. We analyzed 45 non-financial companies listed on KSE-100 index that have earned profits and paid dividend for a period of twelve year w.e.f. 2001. Technique adopted for sampling adopted is convenience sampling. As the nature of data is panel therefore, pooled regression, fixed and random effect tests are run. Random effect results are focused after applying Hausman’s test.Regression Results witness that Dividend per Share andRetention Ratio havean insignificant relationship with Share Market Prices.Dividend Payout Ratio has a significant positive relationship with Share Prices as supported by the Bird in hand theory suggested that owners give preference to a dollar of estimated dividends over a likely dollar of capital gains. Profit after tax, Earning per share and Return on Equity are the three control variables. Profit after Tax has insignificant relation to Stock Prices. Earnings per Share have positive significant relation to Stock Prices. There is negative significant relation between Return on Equity and Share Prices. It is recommended that firms in the sample should regularly pay dividend as it will cause an upward movement in the stock market prices. Whereas profit retention by firms will result in a decrease in the value of the stock market prices.

This study will help us to make effective dividend decisions and effective implementation of dividend policies. In this study, Fixed Effect Model along with Random Effect Model have been used to estimate results. Both Models are implemented on panel data for explaining the association between dividend payments and share prices while controlling logarithm value of Profit after Tax, Earnings per Share and Return on Equity. The research is accompanied with a view to find whether the dividend announcement convey any evidence to the market that results a stock price volatility for adjusting the dividend announcement information while controlling the variables like Profit After Tax Earnings, Per Share and Return on Equity. The study also tested both the Models and found Random Effect Model is more significant than Fixed Effect Model. The result documented on the Random Effect Model shows that there are significant relationship with Retention Ratio, dividend per share and Return on Equity. In addition, Profit after tax shows the negative significant association and Earning per Shares insignificant with the share prices in Bangladesh Fuel and Power sector.

This study has examined the impact of dividend on stock market price of Nepalese enterprises. For this purpose 33 dividend paying companies listed on NEPSE has been selected as sample. Likewise, this study used unbalance panel data for the period of 2000/01 to 2018/19. Breusch and Pagan Lagrangian multiplier test concluded that Pooled regression model is not appropriate and Hausman test concluded that Random Effect model is not appropriate for the data used in this study. Thus, this study adopted Fixed Effect model to analyze the impact of dividend on stock market price. This study concluded that there is significant impact of dividend on stock market price of Nepalese enterprises after controlling return on equity, earnings per share and return on equity. Many investors in order to predict stock prices use various techniques like fundamental analysis and technical analysis and sometimes rely on the discussions provided by various stock market analysts. ARIMA is a part of time-series analysis under prediction algorithms, and this paper attempts to predict the share prices of selected pharmaceutical companies in India, listed under NIFTY100, using the ARIMA model. A sample size of 782 time-series observations from January 1, 2017 to December 31, 2019 for each selected pharmaceutical firm has been considered to frame the ARIMA model. ADF test is used to verify whether the data are stationary or not. For ARIMA model estimation, significant spikes in the correlogram of ACF and PACF have been observed, and many models have been framed taking different AR and MA terms for each selected company. After that, 5 best models have been selected, and necessary inculcation of various AR and MA terms has been made to adjust the models and choose the best adjusted ARIMA model for each firm based on Volatility, adjusted R-squared, and Akaike Information Criterion. The results could be used to analyze the stock prices and their prediction in-depth in future research efforts.

The behavioral finance literature has documented that individual investors tend to sell winning stocks more quickly than losing stocks, a phenomenon known as the disposition effect, and that such a behavior has an impact on stock prices. We examined this effect in the Tunisian stock market using the unrealized capital gains/losses of Grinblatt & Han (2005) to measure the disposition effect. We find that the Tunisian investors exhibit a disposition effect in the long-run horizon but not in the short and the intermediate horizons. Moreover, the disposition effect predicts a stock price continuation (momentum) for the whole sample. However this impact varies from an industry to another. It predicts a momentum for “manufacturing” but a return reversal for “financial” and “services”.

There are several hypotheses suggesting that some properties of oil prices make it interesting to focus on the predictive ability of oil prices for stock returns. This paper reviews some models recently used in the literature and selects the most suitable one for measuring the relationships and/or linkages of oil prices to the stock markets of the selected five oil producing countries in the Middle East. In particular, the paper uses two methodologies to test for the presence of a cointegrating relationship between the two variables and an unobserved components model to find a relationship between the two variables. The results rejects convincingly that there is no linkage between the prices of oil and the stock market prices in these oil-based economies.

The investors place great importance on the share price of publicly traded companies since it may reflect the company’s value. The research objective is to examine the relationship between financial performance and debt at share prices through dividend policy. The method of the research used is quantitative and correlational research. The data analysis technique is the use of smart PLS. The results of the study explain that financial performance has a positive effect on stock prices in the mediation of dividend policy. Debt negatively affects share price mediated by dividend policy. The implication of the study is that companies should consider the benefits as well as risks of borrowing funds from third parties. Investors and potential investors before investing their money in stocks must pay attention to financial performance, corporate debt and dividend policy so that they do not experience losses in their investment.
