Results of a study of lipid peroxidation, antioxidant system components, and cholinergic neurotransmitter system in the organs of experimental rats of different ages exposed to alimentary synthetic estrogen are presented. Given the state of peroxidation processes and AChE activities in female rats exposed to xenoestrogen, it is possible to assume the possibility of the restructuring of the functioning of mediator and enzyme systems and additional strengthening of pathological symptoms. In the future, such phenomena may trigger the reduction of potential of compensatory mechanisms in compromising the health of the consumers. In puberty, females were more sensitive to nutritional synthetic estrogen than mature animals, thus proving that age is another factor in xenoestrogen exposure. Because of the changes in the rates of reactions to detoxification but not to the metabolism of estrogen received into the organism, particularly with food, with age the animals were less susceptible to the effects of these substances.

The main peculiarity of aspirin-intolerant polypous rhinosinusitis pathogenesis is the presence of “genetic block” of constitutive cyclooxygenase being the key enzyme of the arachidonic acid metabolism. It justifies the necessity of studying its metabolic peculiarities. The objective of the research was to determine the level of arachidonic acid as well as the state of lipid and protein peroxidation processes in patients with aspirin-intolerant polypous rhinosinusitis.Materials and methods. The levels of arachidonic acid, malondialdehyde and oxidative modification of serum proteins were studied in 20 patients with aspirin-intolerant polypous rhinosinusitis and 7 healthy individuals.Results. Significantly elevated levels of arachidonic levels were observed. The search for alternative metabolic pathways stimulated lipid and protein peroxidation processes and led to the increase in the levels of malondialdehyde and oxidative modification of serum proteins. The peculiarities of biochemical changes indicated pro-inflammatory orientation of lipid metabolism.Conclusions. The obtained data confirmed the hypothesis of “genetic block” of the arachidonic acid metabolism as the main pathogenetic component of aspirin-intolerant polypous rhinosinusitis and allowed us to clearly interpret biochemical picture of the disease.

To keep needed level of peroxide lipid oxidation is necessary for the normal functioning of physiological systems. It is supported by the balance of anti-and prooxidant systems. The positive influence of lipid peroxidation processes in the organism is manifested by the restoration of the composition and maintenance of the properties of biological membranes, participation in energy processes, cell division, synthesis of biologically active substances. It has been established that the inflammatory process is accompanied by changes in lipid metabolism and the intensity of peroxide oxidation.

The study aimed to compare the effectiveness of various pharmacotherapy regimens for infertility of tubo-peritoneal genesis. Under constant supervision were 96 patients referred to the hospital for diagnostic laparoscopy for infertility of tubo-peritoneal genesis, divided equally into 4 groups depending on the pharmacological treatment methods: the 1st group received basic pharmacotherapy (BPT) after endoscopic surgery (antibacterial, antifungal, vitamin therapy). Patients of groups 2-4, in addition to BPT, received Hepon, Cycloferon or Lavomax, respectively. The control group consisted of 38 gynecologically healthy women. Laboratory examination was performed within 24 hours after the operation and on the 30th day after BPT. Vaginocervical lavage and plasma were assayed for the activity of lipid peroxidation processes, the state of the antioxidant system, the level of stable nitric oxide metabolites, neopterin, C-reactive protein, cytokines (TNFα, IL-1β, IL-8, IFNγ, IL-18, G-CSF, IL-4, IL-10), immunoglobulins (IgM, IgG, IgA, sIgA), components of the complement system (C3, C4, C5, C5А), phagocytic and oxygen-dependent activity of polymorphonuclear leukocytes. It was established that the use of immunomodulatory and antiviral activity medication with BPT according to the degree of increasing efficiency in the correction of immunometabolic laboratory parameters at the systemic and local level in infertility of tuboperitoneal genesis is as the following sequence: basic pharmacotherapy < basic pharmacotherapy + Hepon < basic pharmacotherapy + Cycloferon < basic pharmacotherapy + Lavomax.
