Irrigation of lands in arid climates helps to solve the problem of water deficit of soils in order to increase their fertility.  However, under the influence of mineralized waters used for irrigation, there is a degradation of chemical, physico-chemical, water-physical and physical properties of soils. Soil monitoring is one of the effective mechanisms that allowsassessing the current state of soils and predicting the negative consequences of economic activity in the future. The area where the research was conducted is in the zone of insufficient moisture where there is an annual deficit of water balance of soils. Irrigation in the studied areas began in the mid-70s of the last century and lasted until 1992. The waters of the Samara River were used for this purpose. The total mineralization of water during the growing season reaches 3515 mg/dm3. It is possible to estimate the degree of transformation of soils that have been under the influence of irrigation waters for a long time in relation to the indicators of virgin soils. The zonal soils of the research area are CalcicChernozems.  The analysis of macromorphological indicators showed that irrigation soils differ from the reference ones by the thickness of the organogenic horizon, density and structure. The results of the analysis of the aqueous extract of the reference soils show the absence of salinization with water-soluble salts.  Their content varies in the range from 0.051 to 0.078 %. A maximum of one salt is observed in the soil profile, namely in the transitional horizon at a depth of 45–63 cm. Below this depth, the content of water-soluble salts progressively decreases. The total content and distribution of water-soluble salts in the soil profile of irrigated soils has some differences from the reference soils.  In the upper part of the humus horizon, the total amount of water-soluble salts is smaller, which can be attributed to the effects of machining and better aeration, as well as the intensive removal of their vegetation.  Below these horizons, the amount of water-soluble salts progressively increases and reaches a maximum in the soil-forming rock.  The nature of the distribution in the soil profile and the total amount of salts isnot typical for Calcic Chernozems and ismore similar to those of Gleyic Calcic Chernozems.  The maximum amount of water-soluble salts is concentrated in the parent rock.  Their percentage indicates the absence of salinity in both studied soils.  But guided by the method of calculating the content of toxic water-soluble salts in the soil, in the reference soils, this figure reaches 0.21 t/ha in a meter layer of soil, and in irrigation 0.42 t/ha. The results of studies of physicochemical parameters show that a higher content of metabolic calcium is characteristic of the reference soils, and its distribution in the soils along the profile of both options is relatively similar.  In contrast, the distribution of exchangeable magnesium in the soil profile varies greatly, especially in the reference soils.  In irrigated soils, the ratio of exchangeable calcium to magnesium is more stable and varies in the range from 4.2 to 7.9, which may be the result of prolonged irrigation. According to the obtained physicochemical parameters, irrigation soils have weak salinity in the lower part of the transition horizon.  This indicator, together with the ratio of exchangeable calcium to magnesium, indicates eluvial-illuvial processes that for some time contributed to the redistribution in the soil profile of both water-soluble salts and exchangeable cations. Evaluation of the degree of salinity of soils showed the absence of salinization in the reference soils, as well as in the upper part of the humus horizons of irrigated soils.  Given the buffering of irrigated soils, weak salinity is present only in the upper part of the transition horizon.

The analysis of the principal horizons of 11 halomorphic profiles was undertaken in an attempt to ascertain, chiefly, the kind and quantity of soluble salts and exchangeable cations assumed to be the main causative agents in the formation of solonetzic soils in Manitoba. The results showed that water-soluble sodium was equal to or greater in quantity than water-soluble calcium or water-soluble magnesium; that exchangeable calcium followed closely by exchangeable magnesium dominated the exchange complexes; and that exchangeable sodium in excess of 15 per cent of the exchangeable cations was found only in some horizons of the Solonchak, Solonetz and Solodized-Solonetz soils in the Chesterfield Association.

The article presents the studies results on the restoration of saline soils affected by formation waters. Soil restoration was carried out using solutions of various water-soluble salts. The author determined that treatment of saline soils with a solution of magnesium sulfate at a concentration of 0,3 mol/dm3 helps to decrease the content of chlorides, sodium, calcium, while the content of magnesium and sulfates increases, but the total content of toxic salts in the soil decreases by 60,9%.

In Transbaikalia information about accumulation, distribution of rare earth elements (REEs) in soils, their transportation from soil to plants is very rare. The aim of this study was to assess the migration of lanthanum in a soil profile and soil-root layer microzones of maize during the vegetation period. The study is based on a field approach in non-polluted natural sites. Concentration of total content La and its mobile form (acid-soluble, exchangeable and water-soluble) in the soil and soil root layer of maize was determined using method of selective extraction Gobran and Glegg. Maximum concentration total La was founded in the upper part of the soil (0 to 15 cm depth). The content of the La mobile forms is 6.9-11.2% from the total amount. The distribution of the element mobile forms within the profile is relatively even. Results indicated that concentration La mobile forms changed in accordance with the phase of maize development. The higher concentration of mobile forms (17-120% from germination period) was founded in soil-root layer microzones in the blossom period. Reactions of 10-(4-aminopiperazino)-10,11-dihydrodibenzo[b,f]thiepins XIVa-XIVd with benzaldehyde, 3,4-dimethoxybenzaldehyde, 4-dimethylaminobenzaldehyde, salicylaldehyde, 3-ethoxy-4-hydroxybenzaldehyde, 2-(2-dimethylaminoethoxy)benzaldehyde, 3-(2-dimethylaminoethoxy)benzaldehyde and 3-ethoxy-4-(2-dimethylaminoethoxy)benzaldehyde afforded a series of 19 hydrazones IIIa-Xc. Some of them showed the expected anticonvulsant effect but only towards pentetrazole; antagonism of maximal electroshock seizures was not observed. In general, the products have a character of tranquillizers: in higher does they produce central depression, potentiate the thiopental sleeping time, have hypothermic action; in single cases antiamphetamine, antireserpine, antihistamine and cataleptic effects were observed. The water-soluble salts of the basic hydrazones VIIIa, VIIIc, IXc and Xc, administered parenterally, showed a rather high acute toxicity and revealed also adrenolytic and hypotensive activity.

The content of water-soluble salts in samples of surface soils from arid regions and separated from them fraction <0.1 mm was analyzed. Existence of salt fractionation in the aleurite was shown. The fractionation coefficients, defined as the ratio of ions concentrations in the water extracts from fraction <0.1 mm and soil as a whole, are arranged in the successions: Na > K > Mg > Ca and SO4 > HCO3 > Cl. It was found that the fractionation of salts depends on their solubility: than solubility below, that enrichment of soils fine fraction is more.

Antagonistic microorganisms, producing bactericidal and fungicidal substances, spread in space and occupy various ecological niches. Antagonistic action of microorganisms can be combined with a number of other properties that can be used by humans for their own purposes. Microorganisms — agents of biological products often have a multifunctional effect on the components of the agroecosystem, which under the influence of various environmental factors could have positive and negative consequences. The aim of the study was to study the effect of new highly active entomopathogenic strains of Bacillus thuringiensis on non-target objects — components of the biocenosis of the apple orchard. When developing technologies for biocontrol of the number of apple trees pests using B. thuringiensis revealed an additional positive protective effect — reducing the number of pathogens of fungal diseases on the leaf surface. Treatment of apple leaves with a liquid culture of strain B. thuringiensis 0376 after 72 hours of application reduced the number of scab of Fusicladium dendriticum by 7 times, and the pathogen of monolisis of Monilia fructigena — 9 times. Strain B. thuringiensis 0371 showed the highest level of antagonism, because in vitro completely inhibited the growth and development of micromycetes on the surface of the nutrient medium. On the leaf surface, the application of culture strain 0371 reduced the number of Fusicladium dendriticum by 92%, and Monilia fructigena — by 86% after 72 hours of treatment. In a field experiment when treating apple trees with a culture of this strain, scab development decreased by 7.1%. Strain B. thuringiensis 787 did not show antagonism against phytopathogenicmicromycetes during co-cultivation on nutrient medium, which may be explained by its inability to produce water-soluble exotoxin, in contrast to strains of B. thuringiensis, which are antagonists of scab and apple monolisis. Strain B. thuringiensis 0371 requires further research and development of its formulations, because it is promising for the creation of a complex biological product with insect-fungicidal properties for use in ecological and agriculture friendly technologies.

The B, C1 and a C2 horizon were sampled from 26 Solonetz and 35 Orthic Chernozemic profiles. Water-soluble analyses were done on all samples. Soil profiles developed from saline parent material may be in either the Solonetzic or Chernozemic Order. Eighty-eight percent of the Solonetz and 34% of the Chernozemic profiles were developed on saline C2 horizons. Seventy-three percent of the Solonetz were developed on C2 horizons that were saline and contained over 40% water-soluble sodium. No Chernozemics developed on this type of C2 material. Forty-nine percent of the Chernozemics developed on non-saline, low-sodium C2 horizons. No Solonetz profiles developed on this type of C2 horizon. This information could be used to assist in the classification of Solonetzic and Chernozemic soils. The pH of the B, C1 or C2 horizons was of no value in distinguishing between Solonetzic and Chernozemic soils.

Разработана рецептура безалкогольного напитка «Янтарная фея». Приведены данные, характеризующие органолептические и физико-химические показатели напитка. The theoretical basis for creating a soft drink Amber Fairy is presented. A soft drink Amber Fairy includes amber and citric acids, silver and dry water-soluble extracts of seeds of milk thistle and lemon balm leaves. The recipe of soft drink Amber Fairy is developed. The data characterizing organoleptic and physicochemical parameters of the drink are presented.
