Introduction. The international publication is now a requirement for graduate students. It is part of the strategy of higher education institutions to improve their quality and compete at the global level. Hence, their intention to develop academic networks and their level of acceptance at the international level. Accordingly, this study seeks to investigate the mediation role of reward and psychological capital on stress relations and student effort for international joint publications. Materials and Methods. There are 421 master and doctoral students employed in this research. The data collected by questionnaire. The Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) is used to analyze the data. Results. The results show that the reward and psychological capital mediate the effect of stress on the student effort for international joint publication. The overall analysis shows that stress does not affect the student effort for international joint publication. Hence the mediation analysis is necessary for explaining the evidence of the stress-effort relationship. The reward is found significantly mediated by the stress-effort relationship and stress-psychological relationship, and the psychological shows a significant effect on the reward-effort relationship. The model of this study represents the joint mediation effect of rewards and psychological capital on the stress-effort relationship in the satisfactorily model of compliance. Discussion and Conclusion. This finding makes researchers develop the integrated behavioral model of stress-effort relationship by using various behavioral mechanisms in order to extend student achievement on international publication.

Entrepreneurial passion is seen as a valuable predictor of entrepreneurs' behavior and performance. We explored what makes entrepreneurs passionate by adopting a qualitative research method from a social support perspective. To test our hypotheses we conducted a survey with 287 young entrepreneurs in China. Using structural equation modeling we studied the impact of three types of support from the family on entrepreneurial passion. The results show that financial support and social capital support had a stronger influence on entrepreneurial passion than did emotional support. Further, psychological capital played a partial mediating role in the relationship between family support and entrepreneurial passion. This study enhances the integrity of previous research conclusions on entrepreneurial passion and, in particular, provides further insight into the development of nascent entrepreneurs and their new businesses.

This research aims to determine the role of job satisfaction as a mediator of the relationship between principal supervision and compensation for teacher performance. The research design used a quantitative approach to causality. To obtain research data using documentation instruments and distributing questionnaires online. The sample used in the study was 215 respondents. The basis for determining the sample is oriented towards a non-probability sampling approach using a purposive sampling formula. To test the mediating effect of satisfaction and the relationship between principal supervision and compensation on teacher performance, a structural equation modeling (SEM) approach is used using partial least squares. Under the research results, It was found that the fact that principal supervision had a significant effect on job satisfaction and teacher performance. Then compensation also has a significant effect on job satisfaction and teacher performance. The findings of the mediation effect state that job satisfaction successfully mediates the relationship between principal supervision and compensation for teacher performance

ABSTRACT This study draws from the literature in positive psychology and organizational behavior to examine the role of an individual's psychological capital (PsyCap) on the budget participation-job performance relationship. PsyCap is an emerging construct that represents an individual's positive state of psychological development, and is characterized by the individual's hope, efficacy, optimism, and resiliency. We surveyed 109 employees working in organizations across the United States who are actively involved in the budget-setting process or have budgetary responsibilities. The results of a mediation analysis show that budget participation is significantly and positively associated with employees' levels of PsyCap, which is in turn significantly and positively associated with higher levels of job performance. Supplemental analysis using a structural equation modeling technique also supported the hypotheses of this study.

Purpose In the past, a plethora of studies has investigated the organizational and individual outcomes of high-performance work systems (HPWS). However, less is known about the mechanism through which HPWS impacts employees’ behavior, particularly intrapreneurial behavior (IB). Drawing on the social exchange theory, this study aims to fill this gap by investigating the mediation effect of perceived organizational support (POS) on HPWS-IB linkages. Design/methodology/approach Data were collected with the help of structured questionnaires from employees working in service industries such as banking and insurance. Findings HPWS was conceptualized as a higher-order measurement model that includes four lower-order dimensions, namely, information sharing, decision-making participation, job security, training and development. Partial least squares structural equation modeling technique was used to test the hypothesized relationships. Results showed a positive and significant effect of HPWS on IB. Moreover, POS significantly mediated the HPWS-IB link. Originality/value Despite an increasing number of studies on the role of human resource management (HRM) practices in enhancing innovation and creativity, there has not been enough research on how HPWS affects IB at the individual level in the presence of POS. Thus, this research is the first of its kind to investigate the mediating role of POS in HPWS-IB linkages in the Malaysian context.

This study aims to determine the effect of work motivation, organizational commitment, and job satisfaction on employee performance. The effect of organizational commitment mediates the relationship between work motivation on employee performance and job satisfaction on employee performance and psychological capital, which moderates the relationship between job satisfaction and employee performance. The object of this research is the employees of the state civil apparatus. They work in government agencies in the education sector of the Directorate of Senior High Schools in Jakarta. This study uses a quantitative approach with one hundred and ten respondents, sampling using a saturated sample technique, and a questionnaire as a measuring tool. Data analysis used the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method to test the model's suitability in this study with the help of the SmartPLS version 3 application. The results of this study conclude that work motivation, organizational commitment, and job satisfaction affect employee performance, organizational commitment can mediate the relationship between job satisfaction and employee performance but cannot mediate the relationship between work motivation and employee performance, and psychological capital can moderate the relationship between job satisfaction with employee performance.

PurposeGiven the important role of innovation capability in helping firms to innovate and adapt to a fast-paced and unpredictable environment, the purpose of this study is to investigate and deepen knowledge of how transformational leadership affects radical and incremental innovation via the mediating role of positive psychological capital.Design/methodology/approachThe paper used structural equation modeling and cross-sectional design to test proposal hypotheses based on the empirical data collected from 379 participants in 89 manufacturing and service firms.FindingsThe results of this study revealed the positive and significant influence of transformational leadership on radical and incremental innovation. The findings highlighted the mediating role of individual psychological capital in the relationship between transformational leadership and aspects of innovation capability.Practical implicationsOrganizations should invest and stress on practicing transformational leadership style for their managers/directors to foster and enhance individual psychological capital and innovation capabilities.Originality/valueThe paper has extended theory of innovation management by discussing and highlighting the important role of transformational leadership and psychological capital in fostering specific aspects of innovation namely radical and incremental innovation.

This paper aims to explore the mediation effect of psychological capital and perceived organizational support on therelationship between authentic leadership and intention to stay. The structural equation modeling technique was usedto test the hypothesized model. A survey was administered to collect data targeting a sample of randomly selectedteachers working at high schools in Tehran. The results suggest that authentic leadership significantly influencesteachers’ intention to stay, psychological capital, perceived organizational support. As predicted, both perceivedorganizational support and psychological capital had a significant positive direct effect on intention to stay. Theeffect of authentic leadership on intention to stay was found to be mediated by teachers’ psychological capital andperceived organizational support. This study shows how leaders can enhance teachers’ intention to stay by applyingauthentic leadership, engendering psychological capital and creating supportive environment.

PurposeThis paper aims to investigate the effects of transformational leadership on individuals and organization’s innovation capability via the mediating role of employees' positive psychological capital (Psy-Cap) namely self-efficacy and optimism.Design/methodology/approachStructural equation modeling (SEM) is used to test proposal hypotheses through the empirical data collected from 330 participants at 90 firms in Vietnam.FindingsThe research findings revealed that self-efficacy and optimism significantly mediate the relationship between transformational leadership and innovation capabilities. In addition, self-efficacy has a greater impact on innovation capabilities compared with the effect of optimism.Practical implicationsThe findings highlight the important role of practicing transformational leadership style to nurture and foster both employees' positive psychology sources and firms' innovation capability.Originality/valueThe paper has significantly advanced and deepened our understanding of how transformational leaders connect with employees to nurture and develop one of the most special aspects of human resource in contemporary working environment called employees' positive Psy-Cap for stimulating firm's innovation capabilities.

The overarching objectives of this inquiry are twofold: first, to investigate the relationship between proactive personality, empowering leadership, and individual job performance; second, to examine the mediating role of psychological capital on the relationship between empowering leadership and an individual's job performance. The sample consists of 215 entrepreneurs of Minang migrants in Purwokerto-Central Java, Indonesia. The Minangnese is an ethnic group in Indonesia with a high success rate of entrepreneurs, and hence there is a stigma in the society that the Minang tribe was born to be entrepreneurs. Despite the abundant literature on entrepreneurship, few have focused on the leadership style of specific ethnicities in doing business. The burgeoning popularity of entrepreneurship theory has attracted academic attention. Scholars attempt to enhance the entrepreneurship literature from various perspectives, one of which is a cultural value. Moreover, little discussion on the role of psychological capital in nurturing individual job performance is the primary motive behind the study. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analysis with Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results proactive personality positively influences empowering leadership. Likewise, empowering leadership determines both psychological capital and individual job performance. The study also supported the view that psychological capital mediates the relationship between empowering leadership and individual performance. The theoretical implication of this research is that psychological capital is important in building individual characters who respond to difficult conditions, so that psychological capital is a competency in improving individual performance.

Purpose - This research paper explores the mediating role of attitude towards the advertisement and attitude towards the brand in the relationships between disparagement as a processing stimulus for humor in advertising and purchase intention of the customer. Design/Methodology/Approach - Data has been collected from 202 individuals. Confirmatory factor analysis, structural equation modeling, moderation and mediation analysis have been applied and a good fit between the data and tested model was observed. As predicted, purchase intention was positively related with disparagement and full mediation effect has been found. The results of moderation analysis are quite interesting and have been presented with the help of a chart showing interaction effect. Findings - Findings provide media agencies with an insight into the audience emotional consequences in exposure to disparagement used in advertisements. Findings are particularly salient for national and multinational media agencies in Pakistan as well in the other parts of the world. Originality/Value - This is one of the first studies to provide empirical support for the relationships between disparagement and purchase intention in Western and non-Western (Pakistani) context.
