Higher education institutions are responsible for providing their graduates with relevant job skills that will allow them to compete in the labour market. With this in mind, the purpose of this study was to identify the factors associated with graduate unemployment in Ethiopia. The data were collected, analysed, and interpreted using a quantitative design. Using Cochran’s sampling formula, 359 graduates from five regions were selected as the sources of primary data. Multinomial logistic regression was used to analyse the data because it is a good model for computing the interaction between more than two independent and dependent variables. Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of 0.947 indicated that the instrument’s reliability is adequate. The study revealed that the independent variables that correlate with graduates’ unemployment are demographic characteristics, curriculum, institutional characteristics, graduate characteristics, and economic and labour market conditions. These findings imply that HEIs and governance bodies should reconsider the sector’s policy and strategic directions in terms of graduates’ employability output. As one of the major improvements, the study also recommends creating an enabling environment for employers to thrive, while higher education institutions adjust their curricula to meet the needs of employers.

The importance of emotional intelligence on academic outcomes cannot be overstated. Several studies have been conducted in the past to shed light on the associations that exist between EI and these outcomes. Making use of Goleman’s Emotional Intelligence model, the researchers investigated the relationship between the personal skills of EI and academic adjustment of second-year University students in Akwa Ibom State. The correlational design was adopted for the study. The population of the study consisted of all the second year university students from two universities in Akwa Ibom state. A sample of 500 students was selected for the study using the Taro Yamane Sampling formula. The subjects were drawn using simple random sampling technique. The instruments for data collection were adopted standardized “National Health Service Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire” (NHSEIQ) and “Academic Adjustment Scale” (AAS). The instruments were used to obtain information with regards to both the dependent and independent variables. Three research questions and hypotheses were formulated and tested at .05 significance level using the Pearson Product Moment Correlation analysis. The results indicated that there is a positive and significant relationship between emotional intelligence and academic adjustment. Based on the results of the data analysis, a conclusion was drawn that emotional intelligence is a prerequisite for academic adjustment of second-year university students.

The study aims to uncover a self-esteem relationship with the altruistic motivations of students who participate in scouting activities. This research method uses a quantitative approach with a correlational descriptive method with a population of 104 people who come from students of State Junior High School 7 Sungai Penuh who participated in Scout activities, then samples were taken using a simple random sampling formula then obtained a sample of 83 people. The tool reveals self-esteem data in an adaptation of the Coopersmith Self-Esteem Inventory (CSEI) and the altruistic motivation data researchers developed themselves, namely the Altruistic Motivation Scale (SMAL). The data of the study results were processed and analyzed descriptively to see the distribution of frequencies and then conducted a correlation test using Pearson Product Moment Correlation. The results of this study revealed that the self-esteem and altruistic motivation of students who participated in scouting activities in school were on average in the world

This research aims to determine the role of job satisfaction as a mediator of the relationship between principal supervision and compensation for teacher performance. The research design used a quantitative approach to causality. To obtain research data using documentation instruments and distributing questionnaires online. The sample used in the study was 215 respondents. The basis for determining the sample is oriented towards a non-probability sampling approach using a purposive sampling formula. To test the mediating effect of satisfaction and the relationship between principal supervision and compensation on teacher performance, a structural equation modeling (SEM) approach is used using partial least squares. Under the research results, It was found that the fact that principal supervision had a significant effect on job satisfaction and teacher performance. Then compensation also has a significant effect on job satisfaction and teacher performance. The findings of the mediation effect state that job satisfaction successfully mediates the relationship between principal supervision and compensation for teacher performance

This research aims to determine job satisfaction and motivation as mediating the relationship between teacher certification and principal supervision of teacher performance. The research design used a quantitative approach to causality. To obtain research data using documentation instruments and distributing questionnaires online. The sample used in the study was 215 respondents. The basis for determining the sample is oriented towards a non-probability sampling approach using a purposive sampling formula. To test the mediating effect of satisfaction and the relationship between principal supervision and compensation on teacher performance, the structural equation modeling (SEM) approach with partial least squares analysis is used. Following the research results, Teacher certification has a significant effect on satisfaction and motivation, and teacher certification has no significant effect on teacher performance. The results of subsequent research and the principal's supervision have a significant effect on job satisfaction, motivation, and teacher performance. Furthermore, the results showed that job satisfaction could not mediate the relationship between teacher certification and principal school supervision of teacher performance for the first and second mediation tests. Then, for the third and fourth mediation tests, results were obtained, which stated that motivation could not mediate the relationship between teacher certification and supervision of school principals on teacher performance. Therefore, principal supervision has a significant effect on job satisfaction, motivation, and teacher performance.
