DIEL RHYTHM OF OXYGEN CONSUMPTION ON ADULT COMMON CARP Cyprinus carpio WITH CONTINUOUS 24-HOURS PHOTOPERIOD         Some external factors could affect the metabolism rate of fish. One of them is photoperiod which related to the length of day and night in a day. Based on that correlation, the experiment was conducted to determine the effects of photoperiod manipulation to the diel rhythm of oxygen consumption on adult common carp Cyprinus carpio. The experimental fish (total length: 29.2 ± 0.4 cm, total weight: 1295.8 ± 56.1 g) was observed in respirometer which connected in a closed recirculation system. The study was conducted with three replications with one individu in each replication. The water temperature and closed recirculation system was maintained at 20.2 ± 0.3oC. The photoperiod was set to 24 hours light : 0 hours of dark by using fluorescent lamp which lit continuously. The results showed that during 24 hours observation at 24 hours light: 0 hours dark condition, adult common carp has an oxygen consumption range of 24.5 - 29.1 mg O2/kg/h at 20oC. The average value of the lowest oxygen consumption occurred at 02.00 and 17.00 (24.5 ± 1.9 mg O2/kg/h). Meanwhile, the highest oxygen consumption value was recorded at 06.00 (29.1 ± 1.7 mg O2/kg/h). Based on data of oxygen consumption obtained from this study, no significant difference found between oxygen consumption of adult common carp during day and night with photoperiod manipulation. The activity and metabolism of adult common carp have changed with the change of photoperiod. Keywords: Common carp, Cyprinus carpio, oxygen consumption, photoperiod.

Purpose. To study the effect of the feed factor on the functional state of the carp body (Cyprinus carpio L.) under the conditions of growing in a model recirculation system of complex purpose with the use of intensive technologies. Methodology. The experimental part of the study was performed at the laboratory of the Scientific and Research Lab “Aquaculture Perspectives”, Scientific and Research Laboratory of “Physiological and Biochemical Studies named after S. Pentelyuk”, Scientific and Research Laboratory of Ecological and Chemical Analysis and Water Monitoring of the State Education Institution “Kherson State Agrarian and Economical University” and at the laboratory of the “Kherson Production and Experimental Hatchery of Ordinary Fish Breeding”. Carp growing was carried out in the model installation of tanks recirculation type with using intensive technologies, alternative energy sources, method of gas-discharge visualization. During the experiment following was performed: clinical examination of fish, control of growth rate and weight gain, survival rate, physiological state and morpho-functional parameters of blood in accordance with conventional methods. Findings. The general functional state of the organism of the common carp Cyprinus carpio L. in ontogenesis was investigated against the background of activation of adaptive-compensatory mechanisms, metabolic processes under the influence of the food factor under rearing conditions in a model system for complex purposes in aquaculture. Positive results of analysis of morpho-functional, biochemical parameters of carp blood were obtained when feeding with a feed mixture from natural fodder and biologically active substances. The degree of influence of the fodder factor as a corrector of metabolic processes in the carp organism when growing the marketable mass has been studied. Originality. The conducted analysis of gas-discharge visualization of static GDV-gram parameters of optoelectronic emission of young-of-the-year carp showed differences in functional activity in the organism of fish from the experimental group in relation to the control group, which was also substantiated and argumentative by the parameters of carp blood and development rate. Practical value. The proposed method of feeding carp in the recirculation system contributes to the correction of metabolic processes in their body, which makes it possible to reduce the cost through the use of natural feed, the cultivation of which is introduced into the recirculation system, the formation of a mixture of our own production, using the GDV-method diagnostics of objects and energy-saving elements in technological map. This study was conducted to investigate the effect of graphene nanoparticles on histopathological changes and clinical signs of common carp Cyprinus carpio. A total of 48 fish were used in the experiment with an average weight 68.44 g. Fish were exposed to graphene nanoparticles at concentrations of 10 and 20 mg / L for the T1 and T2 respectively, as well as to  control group (without graphene nanoparticles).  Fish exposed to graphene showed no abnormal behavior and no mortality satisfactory clinical signs in the experimental fish. Histopathological changes of gills showed fusion with shorting of the secondary lamellae, lifting up secondary lamellae beside necrosis and hyperplasia of the epithelial cells of secondary lamellae in gills. On the other hand, there was necrosis of hepatocytes, dilation of sinusoids, hydrobic degeneration, hepatocellular vacuolation, hypertrophy and hydrobic of degeneration  in liver. The present study was suggested to investigate of the graphene nanoparticles effects on histopathological changes and clinical signs to clarify a clear representation about on fish and its danger of its accumulation in aquatic environment.

Thirty-three broodstock of common carp (Cyprinus carpio) obtained from Panyam Fish Farm, plateau state Nigeria was used to evaluate the percentage hatchability of carp through induced natural spawning in outdoor Hapa net system, and induced breeding by stripping in indoor concrete Ponds. Spawning and fertilization was natural for experimental group 1. Ovaprim hormone was used to induce broodstock in experimental group 2 and 3, but unlike experimental group 3, experimental group 2 was not stripped manually, as the induced female broodstock shed her eggs naturally. At the end of the experiment, the mean number of eggs in one gram was found to be (733.33±3.53a) in treatment 3, as compared to that of experimental group 2 (702.00±3.21b) and experimental group 1 (709.33±4.91b), with a significant difference at (P<0.05). There was no significant difference (P<0.05) in fecundity (x103) from the three experimental groups. Percentage fertilization was highest in experimental group 2 (94.44±0.40a). Percentage Hatchability was highest in experimental group 3 (94.10±0.85a). Number of post fry in one liter of water at day seven after hatching was found to be highest in  experimental group 3 (1896.30±53.40a). In conclusion, the best method of carp propagation for aquaculture is the synchronized propagation through stripping in indoor concrete ponds, which had 94% hatching rate.
