This research aimed to know the effect of implementing the Problem Based Learning model toward students’ mathematical problem-solving ability derived from their self-regulated learning at MTs Rokan Hulu. This research using a factorial experiment design. By random cluster sampling, 8th-grade students of A-class as the experimental and C-class students as the control group. Data were collected from the mathematical problem-solving ability test and self-regulated learning questionnaire. The result of this study is: 1) there was a difference in mathematical problem-solving ability between students taught by Problem Based Learning model and those who educated by direct learning, 2) there was a difference in mathematical problem-solving ability among students having high, medium and low self-regulated learning, and 3) there was no interaction between Problem Based Learning model and student mathematical problem-solving ability.

This Research aims to determine the effect of problem-based learning model and guided discovery learning model of learning ability of students' mathematical problem-solving in terms of self-regulated learning. This was a quasi-experiment research. The sampling technique is multistage random sampling. The data collection technique is mathematical problem-solving ability test on essay form and questionnaire self-regulated learning of the student. Hypothesis testing using two-way ANOVA technique with 5% significance level. The conclusion of this research shows that (1) the mathematical problem-solving ability of students who are treated with PBL model is higher than the mathematical problem-solving ability of students who are treated with GDL model, (2) there is interaction effect between learning model and self regulated learning to mathematical problem solving abilities of student , (3) mathematical problem solving abilities treated by PBL model is higher than mathematical problem solving ability given GDL model in groups of students who have high self regulated learning, (4) there is no difference in mathematical problem-solving ability among students who are given Treatment of PBL models and treated with GDL models in groups of students who have low self-regulated learning.

This study aims to determine the effect of using student worksheet (LKPD) based on the Problem Based Learning model on the mathematical problem solving abilities of students of class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Pangean. This type of research was a quasi-experimental study with a pretest – posttest control group design. The population was all students of SMP Negeri 2 Pangean Indonesia in the 2019/2020 school year. Sampling method was using random sampling technique. Based on the results of data analysis, the posttest mean score in the experimental class was 85.45 and the average value in the control class was 54.5, meaning that the average value of the experimental class was higher than the control class. The two-mean difference test using the t test was significant (2-tailed) 0.000 <α = 0.05, which means that the posttest score of students 'mathematical problem solving abilities was different from the average posttest score of students' mathematical problem solving abilities. which uses scientific learning. So it can be concluded that there is an effect of the Problem Based Learning model on students' mathematical problem solving abilities.

The new normal period makes ICT-based education the spearhead of the implementation of learning. This becomes an obstacle and a challenge for students, especially in the mathematical problem-solving ability (MPSA), which is very important for students because it is a prior mathematical ability and is included in HOTS. Self-regulated learning in mathematics (SRL) also has a significant role in adapting to learning in the new normal and influences students' mathematical learning outcomes. However, the facts on the ground show that these two abilities are still low. To solve this problem, the researchers developed VBA Microsoft Word-based teaching materials on the relevant polyhedron materials for use so that learning would be more optimal. The method used in this research is an experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The population is all the students in Cimahi City, while the sample is two classes randomly selected. This study indicates that VBA Microsoft Word-based teaching materials are appropriate to be applied in the new normal period, as indicated by the results of the achievement and improvement of MPSA and SRL of students is better than ordinary learning. There is an association between MPSA and SRL and positive response even though they still have difficulty making mathematical models on MPSA questions. Students are more enthusiastic in learning and don't get bored quickly; in line with the challenges of the new normal, the industrial revolution 4.0, and the learning curriculum, learning is more structured, interactive, effective, and efficient.

The effectiveness of problem-based learning in terms of mathematical problem-solving skills and self-regulatedAbstractThis study aims to determine the effectiveness of problem-based learning in terms of mathematical problem-solving skills and self-regulated. This study is quasi-experimental with a population of students of grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Ngadirejo Temanggung academic year 2017/2018. The sampling was done randomly by taking 3 of 7 classes, and the elected class was VIII A, VIIIB, and VIIIC. Then, the three classes were randomized to determine the tryout class, control, and experimental class. Class VIIIB was selected as an experimental class, VIIIC as a control class and VIIIA as a tryout class. The instrument used was the test of mathematical problem-solving skills, the scale of self-regulated learning and observation sheet of learning implementation. The results of this study showed that problem-based learning is effective in terms of mathematical problem-solving skills and self-regulated learning. There is a difference in effectiveness between problem-based learning and conventional learning in terms of mathematical problem-solving skills and self-regulated learning. There is a significant relationship between mathematical problem-solving skills and self-regulated learning.
