Background: Urinary tract stones are common in patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH); therefore, an imaging test is needed for patients who have risk factors for the formation of urinary tract stones. The purpose of this study was to explore the factors associated with the presence of urinary tract stones in patients with BPH as information to conduct imaging tests. Methods: A cross-sectional quantitative analytic study was conducted on medical records of patients with BPH, both with and without urinary tract stones, or patients with urinary tract stones registered at the Department of Urology, Dr. Hasan Sadikin General Hospital, Indonesia, from 2015 to 2018. Data on age, body mass index, hypertension, use of antihypertensive drugs, diabetes mellitus, and hyperuricemia were collected and analyzed using the Mann-Whitney, Chi-square, Fisher exact test, and multivariate logistic regression statistical test to compare variables between BPH with and without urinary tract stones. Results: In total, 235 BPH patients were registered, of whom 74 (31.5%) had urinary tract stones. The median age was 64 years old. There was a relationship between age (p=0.030), diabetes mellitus (p=0.043), and the occurrence of urinary tract stones in patients with BPH. The most dominant risk factor was diabetes mellitus (OR=3.000, 95%CI 1.03-8.69).Conclusions: Age and diabetes mellitus are the risk factors for urinary tract stones in patients with BPH. BPH patients with diabetes mellitus are at a 3-fold risk for urinary tract stones. Diabetes mellitus in BPH patients is an indication to conduct imaging tests.

The Design of this study was descriptive analytical with cross sectional approach. The study was conducted at the GMIM Hospital Pancaran Kasih Manado. The sample used was 34 patients. The instruments used were questionnaire demographic characteristics of respondents, motivational questionnaires, and self-efficacy questionnaires tested using the Fisher Exact test. The results of the Fisher Exact statistic test are the relationship between motivation and self-efficacy of patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus at GMIM General Hospital Pancaran Kasih Manado obtained p = 0.026 (α = 0.05). The conclusion is that there is a relationship between motivation and self-efficacy of patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in RSU GMIM Pancaran Kasih Manado. Keywords: Motivation, Self-Efficacy.Abstrak: Motivasi dari setiap individu berkaitan dengan efikasi diri yang dimiliki oleh masing-masing individu tersebut. Background: The second highest burden of all diseases in world population includes infectious disease with a total of 28% cases. Angular cheilitis is an infectious condition on the corner of the mouth that may initiate masticatory, facial expression and speech dysfunction due to the involvement of orbicularis oris muscle surrounding the lips. The management of angular cheilitis comprises the elimination of causative microbes using antifungal agent. Therapeutic failure reveals the disregard of any related risk factor. Purpose: To analyze the risk factors of angular cheilitis in Gusti Hasan Aman Dental Hospital year 2019. Method: This study resorted analytical descriptive design of quantitative approach using cross-sectional method. Samples were 65 dental statuses of patients in Oral Medicine Clinic of Gusti Hasan Aman Dental Hospital year 2019. Result: Univariate data analysis presented the distribution of children category aged ≤ 18 years old (75.8%), men (54.8%), not consuming vegetable and fruit behaviour (46.8%), duration of treatment 1-7 days (56.4%), and incidence of angular cheilitis (75.8%). Fisher exact test unveiled the relationship between age and angular cheilitis (p<0.05) in which age ≤ 18 years old was 4.266 fold higher to experience angular cheilitis, while the relationship between gender and angular cheilitis (p<0.05) demonstrates the predilection of male with 4.853 fold at risk than female. Conclusion: Age and gender are risk factors in the incidence of angular cheilitis at Gusti Hasan Aman Dental Hospital year 2019.  Keywords : Age, Angular Cheilitis, Behavior, Gender

However rice plant farmers incline carry out spray of pestisides which abused impact can increase poison inciden of farmers. The objective of this research was to know about risk factors related to pesticide poison incidence because use carbamates pesticides and organophosphates pesticides in Masangan Kulon Village Subdistrict Sukodono District Sidoarjo. The type of this research is analytic observational with cross sectional approach. Sample of this research is 28 farmers. The collected data were analyzed analytically using Fisher Exact Test. The variable in this research were age, sex, educational level, length of work, the using Personal Protection Equipment, length of exposure, knowledge, total of kind pesticides, and management practices of pesticides. Checking cholinesterase enzyme value in the blood with Kinetic Photometric DGKC by BBLK of Surabaya. The result of this research showed as 2 farmers (7,1%) has pesticides’s poisoning. The result of statistic test showed there was no significant relationship between sex (p = 0,091), educational level (p = 0,553),length of work (p = 0,288), the using Personal Protection Equipment (p = 0,622), total of kind pesticides (p = 1,000), knowledge (p = 0,549), and management practices of pesticides (p = 1,000) with pesticides poisoning.
