Implementing multi-level governance has been a key priority in EU cohesion policy. This study assesses the perceived achievements and shortcomings in implementing European Social Fund by analyzing the deficits and weaknesses as well as the poor participation of local agents who are in direct contact with the beneficiaries in order to design and implement this fund, which is the main financial instrument of EU social policy.

The aim of the study was to analyze the scale and scope of interest of the research group of advisory services offered within the selected system project. The detailed purpose of the work was to determine the level of usefulness of the analyzed activities by the beneficiaries to which they were directed. Source of empirical data in the area of enterprise support systems was the system project „Providing business development services for entrepreneurs and those intending to start a one-stopshop business” under sub-measure 2.2.1. Operational Program „Human Capital”, co-financed by the European Union under the European Social Fund. Own research covered 70 agri-food companies benefiting from a publicly funded project.

This article presents the modelling of interconnected companies’ logistic processes with Tecnomatix Plant Simulation by Siemens. It has two main parts. The first contains the details of recognition including simulation. The second part presents the modelling with Tecnomatix Plant Simulation. My publication is supported by the EFOP3.6.1-16-2016-00022 project. The project is co-financed by the European Union and the European Social Fund.

Multi-level governance has provoked debates over the last quarter century as the thinking of Liesbet Hooghe and Gary Marks has progressed. That thinking has been both innovative and eclectic, forming a number of intellectual ‘story arcs’ that part ways, develop and mature, then recombine with renewed force. We take Hooghe and Marks’ Multi-Level Governance and European Integration as a pivotal moment in the development of that thinking. We then trace the ‘story arcs’ of multi-level governance by pinpointing three questions. Does multi-level governance ‘travel’ as a viable analytical framework much beyond cohesion policy? Does multi-level governance give analytical purchase beyond the European Union? And is multi-level governance merely a descriptive framework or does it embed or give rise to theory? We conclude by shortly summarising the contributions to this Breakthrough Political Science Symposium.

The article is devoted to the study of the implementation of territorial cohesion policy in the European Union in order to achieve a secure regional coexistence. In particular, the regulatory and institutional origins of territorial cohesion policy in the EU are considered. The evolution of ontological models of cohesion policy has been outlined. Specifically, the emphasis is placed on the key objective of political geography – effectively combining the need for "territorialization" and the growing importance of networking. The role of urbanization processes in the context of cohesion policy is highlighted. Cross-border dimensions of cohesion policy in the context of interregional cooperation are explored. Particular emphasis is placed on the features of integrated sustainable development strategies.
