Operational feasibility assessment of geothermal heat harnessing systems

Renewable energy sources are now essential to establish sustainable development. This paper examines one kind of source the geothermal energy. For geothermal energy when combined with a heat pump COP can be used for evaluation. For solely geothermal sources different approach is needed thus in the paper, a new geothermal heat production coefficient is used to examine the operational feasibility. For the assessment, many hypothetical buildings were created to model their heat demands. Two types of calculation methods are used for heat demand calculation. Based on the results, the maximum depth of a geothermal borehole and economically critical qualitative coefficient was concluded.

Nanoanyagok humánbiztonsági kockázatot jelentő tulajdonságainak bemutatása és csoportosítása

A nanoanyagok egyedi tulajdonságaik révén egyre szélesebb körű felhasználásnak örvendenek, amelyeknek köszönhetően számos iparág tevékenységében fellelhetők, térhódításuk továbbra is növekvő tendenciát mutat. Az ipari felhasználásuk az utóbbi néhány évtizedben lett számottevő. Ezen robbanásszerű fejlődés következtében hiányos ismeretekkel rendelkezünk az anyagok élő szervezetekre, valamint az emberi egészségre gyakorolt pontos hatásmechanizmusát illetően mind rövid-, mind pedig hosszútávon. A nanoanyagok számos különböző megjelenési formájukból, változatos fizikai és kémiai tulajdonságaikból adódóan különböző módokon juthatnak be az élő szervezetekbe, majd tovább a véráramba, a nyirokrendszerbe elérve az egyes szerveket és ott különböző egészségkárosító hatásokat előidézve súlyos megbetegedéseket okozhatnak. Hazánkban és az Európai Unióban jogi szabályozások tekintetében az érintett tématerület lefedettsége kezdetlegesnek mondható. Az anyagoknak való kitettség kockázatának vizsgálatához szintén nem áll rendelkezésünkre, olyan összefoglaló anyag, amely részletesen kitérne az egyes kockázati tényezőkre, vizsgálandó paraméterekre. Munkánk során célunk volt egy olyan szempontrendszer kialakítása, amely figyelembe veszi a nanoanyagok használata, illetve a velük való érintkezés során felmerülő kockázatokat az anyagok egyes tulajdonságai alapján - legyen az fizikai, kémiai vagy biológiai- , amely szempontrendszer a későbbiekben megfelelő kiindulási alapot biztosíthat a munkavédelmi kockázatértékelések elkészítése alkalmával, ezáltal biztonságosabbá téve az ezen anyagokkal való munkavégzést, a munkát végzők és a munkavégzés hatókörében jelenlévők számára egyaránt.

Nanomagnetit-bentonit vizes közegű diszperz rendszereinek zeta-potenciáljának vizsgálata

The stability of different type nanomaterials play an important role among recent scientific and industrial challenges, including the examination of the effect of polymers, surfactants and their mixture on surface and electric surface properties and aggregation extent of dispersed particles, which are of utmost importance. Bentonite and its composite with different nanomaterials are frequently used for instance in environmental protection for wastewater treatment, since due to their great specific surface area they have excellent sorption properties. There are several publications in the literature for the application of bentonite in drilling muds. By using them the fluid loss can be decreased during the drilling process, the filtration of the fluid can be increased, it also improves the rheological properties and the formation damage can also be mitigated. During research the investigation and the analysis of the zeta-potential of nanoparticles and their composites at different pH and salt content can be an interesting topic. During our experiments the electric surface properties of nanomagnetite synthetized in laboratory (NM), cation exchanged bentonite from Mád (Be) and the composite particles of these particles were investigated. Hybrid particles of different compositions (9:1, 7:3, 1:1, 3:7, 1:9) were analyzed at different potassium chloride concentrations (0.1 – 0.0001 M). The surface adsorption on the surface, i.e. the change in the surface charge can be traced well by analyzing the obtained zeta-potential values. The behavior of such systems was observed in the full pH interval, thus, valuable data were obtained regarding the colloidal stability. As for the stability, different requirements may emerge in practice, there are application fields where the colloidally stable system is advantageous, on the other hand, in some cases, ceasing the stabile system is the goal. Our investigations are of high importance in terms of stability and its characterization [1].

COVID-19-járvány gazdasági és társadalmi hatásai az elmúlt egy évben az Európai Unióban, különös tekintettel Magyarországra

A 2020-as év elején megjelenő COVID-19 járvány világszerte nagy változásokat hozott minden ország életében. Tanulmányunkban – egy év távlatában – a koronavírusnak a gazdasági szektorokban megjelenő gazdasági és társadalmi hatásait és azok következményeit foglaljuk össze mind az Európai Unió, mind pedig hazánk vonatkozásában. A járványügyi intézkedések hatására bizonyos szektorok szerepe visszaszorult, míg más ágazatok hatalmas fejlődésen mentek keresztül. A távmunka elterjedése, a turizmus, a vendéglátás és a szórakoztatóipar hanyatlása a lakosság magatartásának a megváltozásához vezetett. A pandémia időszakában bekövetkezett változások a vagyoni egyenlőtlenségek növekedéséhez vezettek. A fogyasztók értékrendjének és jövedelmi helyzetének az átalakulása a nemzetgazdaság valamennyi ágazatában érezteti hatását. Felmerül a kérdés: a hanyatló félben lévő vállalatok vajon mikorra lesznek képesek talpra állni, a járvány előtti gazdálkodásukra jellemző nyereséget képesek lesznek-e elérni, és ha igen, akkor mikor?

The impact of optical character recognition artificial intelligence on the labour market

Because of present day information technology, there is neither need to plant complicated computers for more millions price if we would like to process and store big amounts of data, nor modelling them. The microprocessors and CPUs produced nowadays by that kind of technology and calculating capacity could not have been imagined 10 years before. We can store, process and display more and more data. In addition to this level of data processing capacity, programs and applications using machine learning are also gaining ground. During machine learning, biologically inspired simulations are performed by using artificial neural networks to able to solve any kind of problems that can be solved by computers. The development of information technology is causing rapid and radical changes in technology, which require not only the digital adaptation of users, but also the adaptation of certain employment policy and labour market solutions. Artificial intelligence can fundamentally question individual labour law relations: in addition to reducing the living workforce, it forces new employee competencies. This is also indicated by the Supiot report published in 1998, the basic assumption of which was that the social and economic regulatory model on which labour law is based is in crisis.

COVID-19-járvány foglalkoztatási és gazdasági hatásainak bemutatása Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg megye autóiparban tevékenykedő vállalatainak körében

A 2020 tavaszán megjelenő COVID-19-járvány szinte a világ minden pontján jelentős gazdasági, társadalmi változásokat hozott. Kutatómunkánk során a koronavírus gazdasági és foglalkoztatási hatásait vizsgáltuk Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg megye autóiparban tevékenykedő vállalatainak körében. A szekunder adatgyűjtés mellett primer kutató munka során a megyében lévő autóipari vállalatok gazdasági vezetőivel és munkavállalóival kérdőíves felméréseket és mélyinterjúkat készítettünk. Munkánk során kiemelt figyelmet fordítottunk arra, hogy felmérjük milyen változásokat hozott a pandémia a vállalatok mérlegtételeinek, forgalmának alakulásában, hogyan érintette meglévő hiteleik visszafizetési kötelezettségeinek, valamint hitel- illetve támogatásfelvételi hajlandóságainak az alakulását. Emellett vizsgáltuk azt is, hogy a járványügyi intézkedések milyen hatással voltak a munkavállalók munkavégzésének módjára, a számukra nyújtott juttatások értékének alakulására.

Discussion on São Paulo Mobility Plans

Since urbanization rising and urban demographic increase, urban transportation has been an important life quality aspect and a strategic decision for cities. Mobility seems to follow citizens' behavior and be influenced by urban cultural changes at the same pace it influences back the city routine and resident’s conduct. The discussion around the future of mobility gained new magnitude nowadays since some sort of vehicles have proved themselves as the cause of significant environmental impact, while others showed themselves as alternatives of low impact for different reasons – from quality public transportation to individual transport with minimized emissions. The city of São Paulo in Brazil published its Master Plan in 2014 and its Mobility Plan in 2015, analyzing the current situation and proposing a future for the city’s transportation system. This paper intends to analyze both plans, construe the popular participation in their formulation and application, discuss how data and strategy were presented and whether they are aligned with other countries’ thinking on the subject. As a city of over 10 million inhabitants, in a Metropolitan Region of 39 cities with over 20 million inhabitants, the transportation system of São Paulo is not an easy or single-solution issue. It is known the need for a combination of different transportation modes, requiring likewise new visions for all methods. Owing to the fact that modes complete each other and, in that manner, may reach a wider range of options for the population to plan daily life, then a system with a great variety of modes ensures the best functioning of them all. This paper focuses on an outsider view that searches for answers and solutions on the São Paulo transportation system, having as a base what is considered outstanding in the world for this issue.

Implementation of the Heinrich Spatial Visualization Test in a Virtual Environment

A virtual environment was developed for PC and Android to be used with a desktop display and the Gear VR, respectively. The goal with it is to measure and enhance the spatial skills of people, because the latter can be achieved by solving simple geometric problems. Originally, this virtual environment consisted only of three such tests, namely the Mental Rotation Test, Mental Cutting Test and Purdue Spatial Visualization Test. Measurements were done in the past with these tests, but now the Heinrich Spatial Visualization Test is also included in the virtual environment. In this paper, its implementation and future measurement plan are presented.

Innovation in Nonbusiness Organizations from a Conceptual Point of View

The definitions of innovation have been transformed a lot over time since Schumpeter introduced his concept. Even recently one of the most prestigious innovation management references, the Oslo Manual have changed its concept. One rarely discussed aspect of the concept of innovation is that most of the definitions are referring to the business sector; only a few of them are referring to any kinds of organizations, including non-profit and governmental organizations. Any kind of organization must innovate sooner or later; therefore they have to learn how to manage innovation effectively and efficiently. That is why the broad type of definitions is recommended, involving not only for-profit organizations but non-profit and governmental organizations as well.

Hárompontos hajlító-nyíró vizsgálatnak alávetett próbatestek Euler-Bernoulli- és szilárdtest modelljeinek összevetése

Absztrakt. Kéziszámítások céljára a mérnöki gyakorlatban, egyszerűsége és pontossága miatt az Euler-Bernoulli gerenda modell terjedt el. Jelen tanulmányban egy vasalás nélküli és egy FRP betétekkel erősített repedésmentes beton gerenda Euler-Bernoulli, valamint térbeli szilárdtest modellje alapján számított állapotjellemzőket hasonlítom össze.
