In order to meet the increasing demand of our society for inter-disciplinary talents (people who have got training in more than one professional field and do excellent in them), English teaching activities of medical schools in China should be employment-oriented, and the new teaching method should be found out to achieve the goal of talent training. Guided by the concept of employment-oriented education and after analyzing the problems existing in present college English teaching , this essay did a research on the reform of the employment-oriented college English teaching in medical colleges and universities.

In higher education, English has always been the focus of teaching, and college English teaching must be vigorously innovated. Through the analysis of the English teaching situation in some colleges and universities, we discovered that micro-lessons an innovative teaching method, has been applied to a certain extent, but the circumstances under which micro-lessons are applied are not favorable. Many college English teachers recognize the value of micro-learning applications, but the shortcomings in the teaching also cause many challenges in the application of micro-lessons. This article will analyze the application value and specific challenges of micro-lessons in college English teaching, and propose some suggestions on the application of micro-lessons.

Teaching reform is an important part of addressing teaching standards in China in order to ensure quality in faculty performance and implementation of student outcomes is delivered at the highest degree of excellence in colleges and universities throughout China. This chapter makes a comprehensive investigation in the field of English teaching in 20 colleges and universities in Heilongjiang Province. This chapter will focus on aspects of English teaching reform. The College English Test (CET) is a large-scale standardized test administered nationwide by the National College English Testing Committee on behalf of the Higher Education Department of the Ministry of Education (MOE) in China. The chapter will describe the role CET 4 & 6, faculty, and scientific research played in the analysis of the findings. This chapter discusses progress in the field of teaching English, addresses challenges and makes appropriate recommendations.

At present, our society has gradually developed into an Internet-based society. Driven by the development of the Internet, many areas including education have begun to reform and innovate. Many colleges and universities in China have always adopted the traditional teaching methods, for instance, using a unidirectional teaching method or teaching in a fixed place. In the era of Internet, these methods fail to meet the needs of both parents and students. Subsequently, with the emergence of Internet Plus technology, the limitations that were originally found in the development of English teaching in colleges and universities can be overcome.
