Various methods and techniques in mathematical proof really need to be introduced to students. Since Studying set theory, there have been opportunities in teaching mathematical proof to students. Teacher are required to choose the right methods and techniques, and be able to develop the abilities of students. A survey was conducted with teachers, lecturers, and students of mathematics education regarding opinions and explanations of how to teach proof of one of the property in set theory. It is asked how to prove that an empty set is a subset of any set. Of the 96 respondents, 69 of them though that the most appropriate way was giving an example. Based on the survey result, there also other alternatives that are relevant even for junior high school students.

This paper aimed to present a survey result of the thickness of the shoe sole among junior high school students in Greater Jakarta, Indonesia. A number of 160 samples of the shoe wearing by junior high school students (85 boys and 65 girls) from Grade 7-Grade 9 was measured. The thickness of the sole of the shoe wearing by them were measured. The results were presented in mean and SD for each grade and gender. T-test results showed that no significant differences were found for thickness of the sole of the shoe wearing by boys and girls within the same grade. Anova test results also revealed that no significant differences were found for thickness of the sole of the shoe among boys in Grade 7-9 (F=0.54, p=0.58) and girls (F=1.06, p=0.35). Findings in this study revealed that a 20mm shoe correction, as often used by many researchers, which is added to the popliteal height to dimension the seat height (SH) is appropriate to be used for population under study. The results of this study provided sufficient justification for the use of a 2 cm shoe correction (SC) in addition to popliteal height when determining seat height of the chair.

The purpose of this study is to help determine the quality development strategy of SMK by following Presidential Instruction number 9 of 2016. This research method uses a qualitative method with a research and development approach. Data obtained using triangulation by conducting interviews with industries that are already active in absorbing direct labour from SMK graduates, then interviews from SMK management and observations at several SMK. The results of this study suggest that there are still many Vocational High Schools that have not gained awareness of Presidential Instruction No. 9/2016 so that SMKs do not know and are fully aware of the intent and purpose of the Presidential Instruction. The discussion of this study found the importance of an understanding program related to Presidential Instruction No. 9 of 2016. In addition to improving quality, junior high school students also have a better chance for graduates to get the right job.

Groups of junior high school students were highly criticized by the experimenter for their supposedly poor performance on a creative task, and another person then gave varying explanations for the provocation. In addition to two control groups given no explanation, one group was told that E was sick and had problems (Sympathy condition), another group was told that he was a high achieving expert (Achiever condition), and a third group was told that he was habitually obnoxious (Habit condition). Three paper-and-pencil measures of hostility were employed as dependent measures. Results indicated that, when a provocation was said to be due to the instigator's illness or to his habitual ways, the victims rated themselves as feeling less hostility and anger, whereas when the explanation made reference to his achievement the subjects expressed more anger and hostility. In a parallel study, students rated the explanations on dimensions such as intentionality. The provocation was judged as the one least intentional in the Sympathy condition and the most intentional in the Achiever condition. Finally, some sex-typing effects were discussed.
