The article presents a model for the implementation of the system for the development of the teacher's professional image, which is a system consisting of separate, interconnected elements, which ensures the integrity of the process of developing the teacher's professional image. In the article, an important point of approbation of the model proposed by the author, the introduction of hypothetically predictable pedagogical conditions is presented. The article presents a specially organized empirical study in order to clarify the relevance of the theoretical conclusions.

The paper examines the specificity of authoritarian focus in pedagogues’ professional communications, which can be the source of psychological traumatisation, provoke the development of health deviations among the participants of education process, causing the emergence of functional and chronicle diseases. It is observed, that the authoritarian focus under the conditions of stressful professional reality creates “chronicle” psycho-traumatic atmosphere in professional communications of employee and can provoke emergence of negative emotional experiences (psychogeneses). Important aspect of examined problem is the fact, that authoritarian interactions in activities (learning, professional) can be the reason for emergence of children's didactic geneses and development of neuroses. Pedagogue’s sensibility to the demonstrations of authoritarianism points out the undeveloped readiness to build effective professional pedagogical communications, which can become the source of traumatisation and aggravation of pedagogue’s own didactopathy. The results of empirical study of influence of factor “authoritarianism” on the pedagogues’ occupational health with the author’s technique “Occupational health” are presented. The observed correlation tendencies indicate the phenomenon of authoritarian focus in pedagogue’s professional communications, that’s why the authoritarianism syndrome can be the serious barrier for the progressive professional development of the specialist, the ruining factor to the professional communications, which influence the psychological well being and health state of employee. Pedagogue with authoritarian focus of world perception is characterized by the behaviour, which is based on the belief, that using of own status and authority provides the sustaining of hierarchical subordination, control, security and professional stability.

Entrepreneurship education in teacher professional development is of paramount importance as teachers are a critical success factor in the entrepreneurship development. However, little attention has been paid to burstiness as a predictor of performance. The aim of the manuscript is to analyze the relationship between burstiness of entrepreneurship education in teacher professional development and teachers' entrepreneurial performance underpinning implementation of an empirical study in the Baltic States (Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania). The meaning of the key concepts of “burstiness,” “performance,” “entrepreneurship education,” and “teacher professional development” is studied. The findings of the empirical study allow drawing the conclusion that a level of frequency, as a criterion of burstiness, of entrepreneurship education in teacher professional development does not reflect a level of teachers' entrepreneurial performance. The novel contribution of this manuscript is the newly formulated research question on burstiness as a predictor of performance.

In this paper, the authors present the results of an empirical study that formed part of the broader research project, "Culture of Educational Institution as a Factor in Co-Construction of Knowledge," at the University of Rijeka. The research was conducted on a sample of 317 elementary class teachers from Croatia and Slovenia. The authors sought to establish how class teachers assess their professionalism in practice; whether they show statistically significant differences in assessing their professionalism and professional development in practice at different stages of their careers.

Aspects of choosing a profession and career planning are closely related to the description of the features of the image of the profession, otherwise known as the image of the profession. The choice of profession is an essential part of life, which has a significant influence upon the person and their further occupation. Furthermore, the choice of profession and job is related to the satisfaction of financial, social and personal needs. Therefore, it is very important that the choice of profession is as accurate as possible and that the profession evokes a strong feeling of vocation. A career develops accordingly, if a person is satisfied with the job and one’s current expectations meet the current situation, then the career development is successful and thrives as individually sought. For a career to follow a successful developing process it is vital to meticulously systematize the characteristics of a particular profession that would help to decide whether one wants to choose it not. Due to these reasons whilst researching the police officer’s image it is crucial to assess the point of view of current police officers in regard to the officer’s image. Correspondingly, the purpose of the article is evoked - to reveal the perception of police officers of the image of their profession. To achieve it, the concept of choosing a profession is discussed, emphasizing the importance of vocation and the path of professional development - career; the change in the attitude of police officers about the image of their profession and its factors are determined. The hypotheses are confirmed disparately. After an empirical study, the first hypothesis - the average of the respondents' assessment of the current attitude towards the characteristics of the police officer profession is statistically significantly different from the attitude before choosing this profession - was confirmed. The second hypothesis was only partly confirmed. It was revealed that the average assessment of the characteristics of the police profession for both men and women decreases depending on the degree of the police officer.
